- SocialFlight joined the Titan T-51 Mustangs at D-Day Conneaut 2019, the world's largest WWII living history event. We begin at the Titan Aircraft Fly-in and then head to the D-Day event, where over 1,700 reenactors, along with historic aircraft, ships, tanks and artillery from around the world help tell the story of the men and women and families that made up "The Greatest Generation".

What an amazing tribute to all those that gave and risked their lives for us!
Grug brain take.
Sugar..looks the best with the high speed wing and the V12 engine really captures the Merlin sound.
Please kill the music. Never play music over airplane noises.
Why the music? it ruins the sound of the planes and the gun fire.
We may post some raw footage in the future. Quite a few people who viewed the raw footage found it pretty boring without the audio and video editing and music. The event had lots of people talking, etc. We made a judgement call... ;-)
Had no idea that this even took place otherwise i would have been there!
everybody gangsta until MGFFM is heard
Sugar sounds amazing..... is that’s the bmw v-12 in that?
Yes! Amazing engine! You control each of half of the V12 separately and can actually shut off 6 cylinders for economy cruise.
SocialFlight that’s cool! It definitely sounds the part. She purrs. How about the blue mustang, mustang 2? That have the v6? Didn’t quite sound like the NASCAR V8 in the video. Sounded like it had half the cylinders the b model had.
Yes. That aircraft has a V6. We are building a V8 version.
SocialFlight awesome! I’ve followed along with your build. It’s great you get to share the experience with your family. I tried to steer my boss here at Curtis Air towards a T-51, when he was looking for an RV-8 project. He still ended up with an RV-8 (oh well) Where are you guys located? Maybe once the project is complete you could make a trip to 2B7 here in Pittsfield ME. Show him what he missed out on. Anyway keep us updated on the build! 👍
We’re at 6B6 in Stow, MA. We will definitely visit when it’s flying!
Thinking of buying a plane like this, advice?
Is the cabin pressurized?
No. Why would it be?
Do you know why John chose the B model?
Turn the stupid music off
