Your region is now the most optimistic of all. Just one thing, when our people come to the power - and they will, you know that and I know that - I wish they find a way for stable macroeconomic management with greater income redistribution. The last thing we need is another Venezuela. In bad times, each failure is a chance for them, the imperialists, the free marketeers, the stooges of international capital, to point their finger at us and say, our thing doesn't work. We gotta show them it does. We gotta show them we're better at them, in fostering growth, in protecting the environment and in ensuring a more equal decent society.
How fortunate that there was a revolutionary and communist faction of the Russian Social Democratic Party, the Bolshevik faction, which could actually defeat the state apparatus, build its own, and defend it from foreign capitalist invasion. No other party could achieve that, no other party could represent the workers' movement so successfully and diligently. We can take inspiration from them, don't let any opportunity go unwasted, don't doubt the strength and power of mass action, and don't hesitate to take power when you can. Lenin's words on the day before the October Socialist Revolution resonate today with our present moment of crisis: " This is proved by the history of all revolutions; and it would be an infinite crime on the part of the revolutionaries were they to let the chance slip, knowing that the salvation of the revolution, the offer of peace, the salvation of Petrograd, salvation from famine, the transfer of the land to the peasants depend upon them. The government is tottering. It must be given the death blow at all costs. To delay action is fatal." Then, as today, action was immediately necessary. Russia was entering its fourth year of participation in the global imperialist slaughter of the Great War, losing hundreds of thousands of lives from the conflict. Production was reaching a breaking point, famine was imminent or occurring in various sections of the country. The military (Kornilov, specifically) seemed poised to overthrow even the pro-war Provisional Government to replace it with a military dictatorship. Then, as today, crisis was imminent. The spirit of the Bolsheviks resides in everyone who is not ready to give up lost causes and surrender to capital.
The cause isn't lost, friend. We've merely been delayed. Capital pulled itself from the brink of death, but it only did so to die more painfully. Revolution may not be eminent, but it is inevitable. Solidarity!

All this is just the tip of the iceberg of the Chinese contribution to the victory of the Reds in the civil war in Russia. The Chinese were recruited into the Red Army from factory workers who had been attracted to Russia even before the war and who sided with the urban proletariat with whom they worked. By the beginning of hostilities in Russia there were about 200 thousand Chinese migrants (before the war there were more than half a million), temporary workers who, due to the outbreak of military conflict throughout the vast country, were trapped by circumstances (although there were many convinced communists among them), just like the famous Czechoslovak legion, only unlike the Czechs, who became the main military and driving force of the Whites in the initial stages of the war, the Chinese became one of the most important military forces in the nascent Red troops. About 50 thousand Chinese fought on the side of the Reds during the entire war. In 1919 alone, more than 20 Chinese units operated in the Red Army - in Moscow and Petrograd, near Arkhangelsk and Vladikavkaz, in Perm and near Voronezh, in Siberia and the Urals, in the Far East and even in Ukraine ... Moreover, one of the personal security guard subdivision of Lenin and Trotsky (along with the famous Latvian riflemen), led by the Red Army commanders Iona Yakir, consisted almost entirely of Chinese. Even in Cheka, Soviet secret-police, there were about 700 Chinese.
Had comrade Trotsky led the show after Lenin the revolution would have liberated the working people of Europe. Especially Germany, the heartland of the revolution.

@@AlexanderUnit-731 i thought it's gonna be something more meaningful, that's it? why did that soviet officer brings 2 kinds of cigarette cases with him anyways? does he like smoking both or it's some kinds of a russian thingy?
I think it's from a Soviet movie and it's meant to be like "even capitalists commanders recognize the honor and strength of the Red Army". And I think they used a Japanese officer because at this point Samurai was generally seen as a symbol of honor in most of the world (that's of course a myth but that's not relevant now).
@@duongngole4785 In the course of the entire plot of the film, a military-diplomatic game takes place between the Japanese and the Soviets (in particular, the Soviet partisans in the Far East), and specifically between the main character Andrei (the commander of partisans) and the Japanese сolonel Ushijima, who will outwit and outplay whom (in the military and diplomatic sense). Ushijima Mitsuru was famous Lieutenant General of the Imperial Japanese Army (since August 1939). He commanded the Japanese ground forces in the battle for Okinawa against the Americans. During the Russian Civil War, he served at the headquarters of the Japanese intervention forces in Vladivostok. For example, here was a moment in the film when, during the negotiations, Usujima gave Andrei to sign an agreement, which was in Japanese, knowing that he did not speak Japanese (in agreement could be anything). That is, it was a cunning trick for set Andrei up in front of the Soviet leadership in Moscow, but he did not fall to this tricks, even after Ushijima tried to put pressure on him by force with the help of armed guards (that is, he tested him for courage). According to the plot, the cigarette case originally belonged to Ushijima, who gave it to a Russian old man in the village, after which he tricked out from him a hunting rifle and then ordered him to be shot for keeping weapons. Later, the wife of the murdered old man handed this cigarette case to the main character Andrei, telling about her tragedy, after which Andrei, closing the case, told the partisans that we would never forget this too (meaning the murder of our fellow citizens). During the negotiations, Andrei specifically suggested that Ushijima light a cigarette from Ushijima's own cigarette case, hinting that the partisans knew about his war crimes. I will not tell the whole plot of the film, but I will note that the final scene with the cigarette case purely symbolically sums up the whole film, on the one hand as if showing the viewer who has finnaly outplayed whom, from the other hand, Andrei did not allow Ushijima to return the symbol of his crime, and on the other hand, the pricey cigarette case is a symbol of dignity and military honor (as well as military success), which Ushijima lost and which passed to Andrei, who at the beginning of the film was an ordinary underground fighter and worker, and at the end became one of the leaders of Soviet military success against the Japanese.

For the same reason anarchism provided a banner of new hope to a generation in France that had become disillusioned with politics : first by a decade of republican repression after the Commune and then by the decision of the rival Blanquists to support the right-wing challenge to the Third Republic of General Boulanger "in the hope that it was the prelude to a great revolutionary crisis." 146 Thus began the fateful tendency of putschist revolutionaries on the Left to see in a right wing challenge to liberal republican authority a tactically useful stage in preparing for their own social revolution. This thinking proved successful for Lenin, who was to view Kornilov's rising against Kerensky's government in September 1917 as a "gun rest" for his own revolutionary rifle. The same thinking by German Communists in 1933 was to have disastrous consequences, when Hitler was seen as a transitory Kornilov tactically useful for destroying the Weimar Republic."-James H Billington

I think video in your style about the napoleonic wars would be amazing! I've been watching the battle scenes of Waterloo (1970) and War and Peace (there's like the suuuuuuper long 1960's russian one) and they're so amazing. Lenin's words on the day before the October Socialist Revolution resonate today with our present moment of crisis:
" This is proved by the history of all revolutions; and it would be an infinite crime on the part of the revolutionaries were they to let the chance slip, knowing that the salvation of the revolution, the offer of peace, the salvation of Petrograd, salvation from famine, the transfer of the land to the peasants depend upon them.
The government is tottering. It must be given the death blow at all costs.
To delay action is fatal."
Then, as today, action was immediately necessary.

What is the meaning of the last scenes when two of them "exchange gifts"? I don't really understand
Japanese officer says that it is samurai's tradition to exhange gifts, and you can give me your fancy cigarette case (he saw it during negotiations). Soviet officer gives him cheap trophy case (later he smokes from the fancy one). Japanese officer understands that Soviets consider him not as samurai but yet another capitalist mercenary and they won't get anything from USSR anymore.
@@AlexanderUnit-731 i thought it's gonna be something more meaningful, that's it? why did that soviet officer brings 2 kinds of cigarette cases with him anyways? does he like smoking both or it's some kinds of a russian thingy?
@@duongngole4785 They are enemies. Both are veterans of Russian-Japanese war of 1905.
What did you expect?
You should do an Islamic Revolution video.
