    Thank you again, and again, and again!
    Hotel California is a masterpiece in music history, and so is your teaching. I cannot ask for more. But I will.
    Nate, a big part of Eagles' masterpiece is its guitar solo, or rather Felder's and Walsh's guitar duet. It's impressive, beautiful, unique (I believe), and (apparently for most radio stations) it's too long, so it's often cut short, too often, too short.
    So, here's my request to you, Nate. Could you please, please, please make a piano tutorial on how to play the World's Best Guitar Solo (according to Rolling Stone Magazine... and me). Please do it anyway you want; a short simplified version (for beginners like me), a full advanced version (for virtuous pianists like you), or a four-hand version (for two pianists or your dog).
    Nate, I think that would be your first tutorial for four hands. That alone would be awesome!
    Whatever you do, keep up the good work. It's highly appreciated.

    Nate, Life is strange and its a small world. Allow me to explain.
    Six months ago my wife of 30 years ago passed away. I had started playing piano as a stress relief when she became ill. Every day after work I would go to the hospital and then home to practice the piano.
    When my wife died I requested you do a tutorial of "Woman" by John Lennon. A week later you released the tutorial to youtube. You must have done quite a bit of work to have done it so fast. I am proud to day I can play it.
    Your tutorials have helped me through many trials and tribulations. Now to the small world part.
    After my wife passed I was very distraught and lonely. Someone had suggested I join a grief support group on facebook for widows and widowers. I did.
    One day I made a post on the group. I cant even remember the topic. A woman commented on it. Then I think I commented on something she wrote. For some reason we just clicked and started talking everyday.
    We are exactly the same age. We are both 52. We both lost our spouse at the same time. We both have one adult offspring and grandchildren.
    I live in Nashville and she lives in Portland. We have been talking everyday for the past 5 months. I thought it was funny that she lived in Portland. I told her, "My friend Nate lives in Portland. He us the wonderful guy who taught me piano"
    Anyhow. Two weeks ago she flew here to Nashville and stayed for 6 days and we really hit it off. I think eventually she will move here to Nashville.
    Great things come from Portland. She gave me a new lease on life. Nate, you and the music was all I had to look forward to during some very dark days. Thank you for being there for the past 18 months. I love what you've doing. You really do help people.
    PS. She also plays a little piano and just loves everything you have taught me.

    Heyyy Nate!’ Nice!’ Another great song choice and amazing tutorial!!’ Thank you for showing us all the chords and the rhythm of the intro. (((( It seems that the display is different this time? The letters look smaller. )))). Amazing and thorough as usual!!! 🎶😀

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate Год назад +1

      Thanks Charlie! And you are correct, I was wondering if anyone would comment!
      So, I'm trying out a new software because the other one doesn't give me enough control over which black keys show as # vs b. It's a long and boring story, but basically if a song doesn't stick neatly to one key it creates hours of work for me and my editor to cobble together different screen recordings with different settings so that note spelling is the way it should be.
      So since you commented...are the new letters small enough that it makes it difficult for you to read what's going on? I actually like a lot of things about this new look, but the smaller letters was definitely a concern of mine!
      Cheers!

    • @charlieharpman2107
      @charlieharpman2107 Год назад

      Hi Nate!! Happy Monday to you. I can appreciate what you are saying that it makes the process longer. To be honest, they do seem a little too small to read but I will try to work around it. I wouldn’t want to be considered difficult. Thank you for writing back.

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate Год назад +1

      @@charlieharpman2107 Well, if it makes it harder for you, then I would assume it makes it harder for others as well.
      It's not about being difficult :) your honest feedback is valuable for me to make the most useful content possible.
      I will keep researching other options and see if there is software that fixes my original issue, but has bigger letters than this.
      Cheers!

    Hello Nate. Thank you so much for this tutorial, you are really great teacher :) but I have a question. It seems there is a different bpm between intro and verse. This one seems slower. Should I reduce the tempo in the intro or play it only half of each bar to be similar to the verse?
    Sorry if i bother with that and thank you one more time🙂

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate 8 месяцев назад

      Hi! Can you clarify where you are hearing the tempo difference between those sections...do you mean in my performance at the end of the video, or in the original recording? I often play things slow because it is easier for people to follow along. The tempo should ideally be consistent between all sections of this song, though...

    • @schottpierre2090

      Hi Nate. The way you teach is perfect. It's just I had the feeling that the tempo was different at the end (Key of Bm at 20.46) but it does not matter. I only wanted to do exactly the same you taught :) @@PianowithNate
