Born in China and I didn't discover him until much later but as early as I can remember I've seen him on TV, performing in China, and he's got soooo much fangirls/mamafans/auntyfans loool, pretty glad some of his songs are still so relevant in Korea nowadays and we still get to see younger idols looking up to him

Totally agree. He has been in the industry for long time as a singer, dancer and actor (don't know if he had others). What got me so pissed is when someone said that rain danced poorly than their bias or Rain can't even sing. New kpop "fans" need to go back and listen to the greats, like Bi, Se7en, 1Tym, Wheesung, S.E.S, G.O.D, Gummy, FTTS, etc; to know geat music, not saying new groups are bad. I just prefer the older artists.
Same. I knew about him after the drama Full House and that drama is still my favorite one. I started listening to his songs after that and still find his voice smooth as butter and soothing.
I remember hearing about his shows selling out at caesars palace and nyc back in mid 2000s. been following his music for a while. No one can really gauge how popular the older k-pop generation was. Play his Rain's World album from time to time. Still my favorite of his.
I know Rain because Taemin mentioned in an interview that he rates him as one of his inspirations. That’s why I explored his music & what little I’ve listened to is fab. If someone can’t appreciate his music it’s their loss. He’s a great performer too. The whole package. Taemin’s taste is right up there, as expected!

I just got into Kpop less than a year ago, so RAIN is someone I don't know. But, does that matter? Great music is great music, regardless of whom it comes from. His personality is HUGE (seen at the end) and he has just won himself another fan.
A little over 5 years ago I heard Jang Keun Suk reference Rain... and had to Google him... it brought up a video called "Nan" on youtube. I clicked on it and within 25 seconds... A Cloud Was Born!

야~~~ 참 이건 아무리봐도 봐도 현대적 감각의 춤을 담은 클래식 명작에 다름아닌 것 같다.

그러고보니 이런 스타일의 춤은 본 적이 없는 것 같은데...진짜 YG나 JYP하곤 전혀 다른 '비'만의 스타일이 할 수 있겠다.
