Oh how I hated the time when Stevia was discovered, and every soda company started releasing a "healthier" alternative to their trademark drinks containing stevia instead of sugar. False. This popular notion is based on a rumor that went around stating that a farmer got sick of how many of his misshapen carrots couldn't be sold at market because they didn't meet market standards, so he carved them up to look like tiny, "baby" carrots. If there was ever any truth to this rumor, it has nothing to do with baby carrots these days. Modern baby carrots are called that because they are literally carrots that were pulled as babies. But they're not even the same strain as normal carrots; if you plucked those things as young as baby carrots are plucked, you'd basically have orange strings. So, a new variety of carrot were bred that grow much thicker than the normal ones, so that even plucked that young, they'd be thick enough to be worth biting into. If you let the strain of carrots that baby carrots are made from, and let them grow to adulthood, they get so thick you can't even hold them with just one hand.
Sgt. long legs crim might be but they could also just put the noodles on the bottom and not make you think you have a whole cup. its just a bit deceiving

I'm an Australian & I know for a fact that a lot of our cheaper brands of honey contain added sugar, some labels say "organic, pure honey" but there is sugar in the cheap brands for sure, Cheers👍
Seeing the Ramen noodles in a cup, I thought the main reason for the space is when the noodle re-hydrate, it has space for it to expand. It eventually feels the cup when it absorbs the hot water when I push the _cake_ of noodles down and let it sit.

Cause they’re not saying “don’t buy these”, they’re simply letting you know facts about these. You can probably make decisions you consider better from there.
I love when people say "Pure maple syrup is better for you than other syrup because it has natural sugar!" What the hell do you think sugar from sugar cane is? That is also pure plant sugar. Maple syrup has more sucrose and fructose than glucose sugars. However, your body is going to break down the sucrose and fructose into glucose anyways because your body can't use sucrose and fructose. Another important factor with the Cup Noodles is that the noodle will 'plump' while cooking as they absorb water (all dried noodles do this). Thus, if that space were not empty, the noodles would overflow the container. Like sucralose and stevia, aspartame (NutraSweet) also causes the same problems and really should have been included in the list. Additionally, the phenylalanine content in aspartame causes brain damage and can be life-threatening to people with a genetic disorder called PKU. It may cause bad reactions in people who are carriers for the PKU gene (though anecdotally as no studies have been run on this). Also, Sucralose has been found to be a migraine trigger in some people. It would seem that one of the safest sugar substitutes is actually saccarine, which is not a cancer-causing agent. It was once thought to cause cancer in rats, but modern studies have shown that it only caused benign tumors in the bladders of male rats as male rats produce a unique protein in their urine which binds to saccarine and injures the inner lining of the bladder. This is something that cannot happen in humans. So, these sweeteners should be used sparingly, just as a treat. Any toxic substance is only toxic if you eat/drink too much every day (a little each day is okay). Your liver and kidneys pull toxins out of your system and prevent harm, but can only handle so much, which is why you shouldn't be scared of having a little in your diet. Really, the best sugar to use is glucose, which is found in cane sugar and normal plain sugar. Glucose is one of the most important carbohydrates as it is the main energy source for the brain (it uses about 1/2 of your body's sugar, which is why drops in blood sugar, or hypoglycemia, make it hard to think). However, if you eat too much glucose, it can depress brain function as well (hyperglycemia). Fructose, like what you find in high fructose corn syrup, needs to be broken down to obtain glucose, and can promote the production of fat-storing hormones and stress-related hormones like cortisol, which increase weight gain. So, TLDR: Eat a variety of stuff moderation that contains glucose and sucrose rather than depending on a single sugar substitute, use sugar substitutes sparingly and monitor yourself for any reactions, and try to limit your intake of high fructose corn syrup (which has been used in many unexpected non-sweet foods too - check the lable). If you're wondering if I have any credentials in this subject, my university BS degree was focused on cellular and microbiology with some biochemistry, so I know quite a bit about the way the body interacts with stuff found in food. I also tend to follow current peer-reviewed studies in this stuff.
The reading why there is that space at the bottom of the noodles is so the water can steam the noodles also the noodles expand a lot when the congeal full of water
Lol, the veggie chips... I always check the label for calories and number of servings and I could tell straight off the bat that veggie chips aren't that great an alternative to potato chips... so far the snack I found that has the lowest number of calories for the whole bag (not just per serving) is quinoa chips. I don't even care for quinoa or its high protein content, it just has the lowest number of calories... and they're actually pretty good (in my opinion). Sadly ofc the grocery stores by me stopped selling them, for some reason that always happens when I find something worthwhile that I like to buy :/ Lentil chips also have fewer calories for the whole bag but I'm not too crazy about the taste. Certain brands of popcorn that you can buy at the snack aisle have a relatively low number of calories for the whole bag. But don't just check calories per serving, they can just make the serving size small and it ends up being no different as far as the total number of calories in the bag.
The term 'natural' just means no added chemicals while making the product, while organic means no pesticides or herbicides added to ingredients before and after product is made.
What? does it matter if the cellulose comes from wood and not vegetables, it's like saying it comes from the dirt because that's what plants grow out of.

All this made me want to do is eat a bran muffin covered in maple syrup, parmesan covered asparagus and baby carrots, a cup of noodles with a snack bar and veggy chips on the side and some astronaut ice cream with berries for dessert. Washing it all down with some coffee sweetened with stevia.
Golden Syrup tastes nothing like Maple Syrup. It is a by-product from the sugar refining process & tastes completely different (I am talking about Lyle's Golden Syrup, the original which we have in the UK, but it might be different as I am not sure T&L own the trademark on the name Golden Syrup in the US)
No, it is. American cheese IS cheese. What youre thinking of is that processed 'cheese food' that comes in the plastic wrapper. Some of that type isnt 100% cheese and cannot call themselves 'cheese', legally. But, theres loads of 'American cheese' that is *real* cheese. Land O Lakes is a delicious one.
My dad makes maple syrup at home and still does, he just gets sugar in pot and boils it until its the consistency of store brand syrup... I still love it!
1:40 One minute 40 seconds I love how he says that a sausage mcMuffin has more calories then a blueberry muffin and yet he shows a ham McMuffin lmao 😂 but blueberry muffins🤤
I hate syrup on my pancakes. Just butter thank you. Maple syrup is disgusting. Maple syrup is glucose and fructose. Our bodies break sucrose(table sugar) down into glucose and fructose. Maple syrup is NOT a healthier sugar. Cellulose is indigestible carbohydrates. It is the same in all plants. Fruits are high in fructose. Their sugar is about 56% fructose. High fructose corn syrup that is used in soft drinks is 55% fructose. Man people are dumb. They have never lied about what baby carrots are. Stevia is not artificial. It is NOT synthesized, it is extracted. Might as well call olive oil, artificial.
When I was a kid pancakes were a weekend breakfast. Back then my mother tried to keep as much sugar out of our diets as possible. She did have karo syrup in the house both the dark and light but she kept them in the special occasion cupboard. Instead she used molasses on our pancakes because it has less sugar and more nutrients. I loved slathering my pancake with butter and molasses. When she made blueberry pancakes (my favorite), she made compote out of fresh blueberries and that was delicious. I don't eat flour anymore but sometimes a pancake does sound tempting. Maple syrup is just too sweet and forget any syrup brand. Yuck.
I'm amazed that any of these are really considered 'lies' - more like consumers never take the time to read labels and understand what the hell is going on... Get educated, learn to cook - #LeGourmetTV
The Doge On Fire Well with waffles I put peanut butter on slice and the other slice I put either Apple butter or strawberry preserve and put them together as peanut butter and jelly waffle sandwich and then go..
A few examples I regularly encounter: Swiss cheese that has never been in Switzerland. Crab cakes that don't have any crab meat unless Alaskan Pollack has been transmuted into crab. Foods that are labeled natural with high fructose corn syrup.
It really doesn't claim to be in America either. Misleading video is misleading. There will be a word called "flavor" when it's just meant to taste like something.
First off, these words are spelled: McDonalds, nuggets, chicken. Pink slime IS meat. Mechanically separated meat. They take the carcasses of the animals, that is, the bones, connective tissue and *bits of meat* and fat that are left after cutting away the meat, and mechanically separate said bits of meat, then use ammonia to kill the bacteria on the finely ground meat so that it does not spoil. McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets are typically offered as an example of a popular MSP-based food, *since 2003* that product has been made with all white meat rather than MSP.
It's time to start living my life by new rules: 1) Everything I've ever been told is a lie. 2) The more processed something is, the less likely it's going to be good for me. 3) Not all Heros wear capes. 4) I will eventually turn into my parents.
As soon as you said the phrase 'genetically modified' as if it was a bad thing you lost all credibility. Actually, the content of the most of the video is pretty damning.
eitughtueir genetically modified is not natural and a good way to lead to crop problems. It is a good way for Companies like Monsanto to make money by patenting entire crops like corn.
While I agree GMO foods aren’t what I prefer, most of today’s vegetables & fruits of today are genetically modified. So much so it’s barely similar the original fruit/veggie in the wild.
GMOs aren’t natural, and Monsanto is making money patenting crops and if the seeds land in a regular farmers crop by wind flow then they can sue the farmerfor sure. What people don’t realize is many fruits and veggies were already modified in the past in some way shape or form
Also maple flavoring in syrup comes from fenugreek seeds, vanilla flavor (vanillin) comes from wood (!), almond flavor comes from apricot pits (the kernel inside the pit), and the list goes on. Some red food dye comes from insects.
I once saw a video of the 100% natural thing, saying that this term for companies means that "it comes from the nature" but everything comes from the nature, so even a product made 100% from chemicals in a lab can still be labeled as 100% natural, always check what you eat!

ben lawton I'm guessing it's to make it sound worse because the majority of people don't know what cellulose is
For maximum fear-mongering. You'll also note that the video treats GMOs like they cause cancer or something.
I stopped watching after that bullsh** about cellulose,, this video is clearly made by some freak who probably believes monoxide dihydrogen is toxic :D
it is, LOL
All this made me want to do is eat a bran muffin covered in maple syrup, parmesan covered asparagus and baby carrots, a cup of noodles with a snack bar and veggy chips on the side and some astronaut ice cream with berries for dessert. Washing it all down with some coffee sweetened with stevia.
Golden Syrup tastes nothing like Maple Syrup. It is a by-product from the sugar refining process & tastes completely different (I am talking about Lyle's Golden Syrup, the original which we have in the UK, but it might be different as I am not sure T&L own the trademark on the name Golden Syrup in the US)
Who is eating while watching this?
American cheese isn't cheese!
that's right because it's American cheese, cheese that's American
Hikikomori Dokki American cheese is only 51% cheese.
Specify what you mean by 'American cheese'.
crappy cheese product slices obviously
You should do a video about the benefits and negatives sides of aspartame! Compare it to real sugar, Stevia and other sweeteners.
No
Im mad now I pressed in this notification by accident but whatever Ill just watched this Cause I love this channel
Zhu zhu army so a love hate relationship.
sameullam Yeah
Anyone else hate carrots but still feel like their life was ruined by finding out baby carrots are just sanded down big carrots? My brain hurts...
Pot noodle stuff is stupid. That much space is required when noodle cook up and swell. N those are sold by weight not volume. There is no lie in that.
saurabh mhatre he did imply it was for cooking purposes also
I eat pot noodles
My dad makes maple syrup at home and still does, he just gets sugar in pot and boils it until its the consistency of store brand syrup... I still love it!
# 8
No you don't.
You just buy it by the block, and shred it at home.
as a canadian i can confirm the maple syrup business. i make my own maple syrup every year, nothing is like the real stuff
Another food lie: Dried Fruits.
Are they not dry?
1:40 One minute 40 seconds I love how he says that a sausage mcMuffin has more calories then a blueberry muffin and yet he shows a ham McMuffin lmao 😂 but blueberry muffins🤤
I actually do hate syrup on my pancakes, it makes my stomache hurt. N Don't try to expose me Be Amazed
U sound like u have a major case of Pus$yidis
I always tell my mother how bad artificial sweeteners are and she always look at me like im crazy...
Might as well call olive oil, artificial.
holy shit, you led into a whole new world
When I was a kid pancakes were a weekend breakfast.
Yuck.
Any one else laughing as he says 'parmesan'?
Forgot pink slime in ground beef.
Pink slime does not exist. That bright pink stuff that has been shown in pictures is a marshmallow candy base.
Cakes are mentioned. Portal fans are calm now.
I actually hate syrup on my pancakes... I don't like the taste
Real maple syrup is more expensive - but totally worth it.
I'm amazed that any of these are really considered 'lies' - more like consumers never take the time to read labels and understand what the hell is going on... Get educated, learn to cook - #LeGourmetTV
“STAY-via.” “BOT-nickel.” This guy’s pronunciations are going to make me lose my SANE-ity.”
You pronounce a lot of words incorrectly
I know, right? It's driving me nuts.
Parmechan
That guy is saying the words wrong
parmasean
Margarine
Companies are allowed to lie all over the package. the only place they can't lie is the ingredients list.
The Doge On Fire Well with waffles I put peanut butter on slice and the other slice I put either Apple butter or strawberry preserve and put them together as peanut butter and jelly waffle sandwich and then go..
stevia is natural....
So is arsenic
"I hate syrup on my pancakes!"
Said no one
But me

Woah found a top 10 channel that doesnt do clickbait thumbnails good job Be Amazed.
Cereal has more salt than chips
😶💥
“I hate syrup on my pancakes!” Said my little brother.
"Botnical" lmao wut
A few examples I regularly encounter: Swiss cheese that has never been in Switzerland. Crab cakes that don't have any crab meat unless Alaskan Pollack has been transmuted into crab. Foods that are labeled natural with high fructose corn syrup.
Life is a lie ..
Karelin Ramos Cuadrado no, the cake is a lie
omar ayach No,
THE MUFFIN IS A LIE
God is dead!
Your god, maybe.
Mine is alive and well.
Are you for real Karelin:)
So your telling me Parmesan cheese is made by the same things that are in ping pong balls.
Another 'Americanism'? "Golden Syrup" in Australia, New Zealand, the UK (and Canada?) is NOT claimed to be a 'maple syrup'!
It really doesn't claim to be in America either. Misleading video is misleading. There will be a word called "flavor" when it's just meant to taste like something.
"I hate syrup on my pancakes" said -no one- me ever
0:22 i hate syrup on my pancakes so your statement is false.
ZerqTM amen 🙏🏻 to that
@@Theprogamer-2006 amen my ass
I love how the word "processed" is thrown around like it's a bad thing.
Flour is just 'highly processed' grain.
If you want to avoid sugar- avoid fruit juice, 'smoothie' juices, granola bars, most yogurt, and most breakfast cereal. Wake-up people!!!
why would I want to avoid sugar?
To buy Real Maple Syrup is expensive.
you missed mcdonles nugits are not made of chickin it is made of pink slime and goop
anita rodriguez that was a hoax
First off, these words are spelled: McDonalds, nuggets, chicken.
Pink slime IS meat. Mechanically separated meat. They take the carcasses of the animals, that is, the bones, connective tissue and *bits of meat* and fat that are left after cutting away the meat, and mechanically separate said bits of meat, then use ammonia to kill the bacteria on the finely ground meat so that it does not spoil.
McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets are typically offered as an example of a popular MSP-based food, *since 2003* that product has been made with all white meat rather than MSP.
Pink slime does not exist. That bright pink stuff that has been shown in pictures is a marshmallow candy base.
@@JuanHerrero I dont eat McDonalds so I dont worry abt that stuff. That food nasty anyways dk how you people eat that stuff.
Could you do a top 10 or whatever about foods that we can eat that are actually good for us
I prefer golden syrup myself.
It's time to start living my life by new rules:
1) Everything I've ever been told is a lie.
2) The more processed something is, the less likely it's going to be good for me.
3) Not all Heros wear capes.
4) I will eventually turn into my parents.
Parme-jean
Omg they told us astronauts ate that stuff in freaking school!
If the average American switched to organic stevia instead of sugar their health would improve and they would lose weight.
No they wouldn't because the average American can't afford to eat foods that aren't just painted up starch in the vague shape of food
GamertagTOWELLIE fuck off
lucas George no, you can
Stevia tastes like SHIT
Potato chips are also veggie chips. In case everyone forgot, potatos are also vegetables.
Not natural isn't equal to not healthy. And Monsanto isn't the only GMO company
Also maple flavoring in syrup comes from fenugreek seeds, vanilla flavor (vanillin) comes from wood (!), almond flavor comes from apricot pits (the kernel inside the pit), and the list goes on. Some red food dye comes from insects.
0:25 I don’t like pancake syrup I don’t really like the taste but I LOVE peanut butter on pancakes
I once saw a video of the 100% natural thing, saying that this term for companies means that "it comes from the nature" but everything comes from the nature, so even a product made 100% from chemicals in a lab can still be labeled as 100% natural, always check what you eat!
You know what’s a lie? AMERICA
You ever just eat Plain Pancakes,
And somehow still get Syrup on your hands?
I do have to say that I learned that baby carrots weren't grown, they were just made from bigger carrots LOL
