Ive heard about this seat rail.. was always curious about it. We are the same height so thats rad about the extra headspace and leg space. Hopefully that back support still works.. i have issues with my back too
Had to re watch 6:10 a few times to remember but no locking nut from what I recall because the OE rail and the BYS rail have threaded ports for the OEM seatbelt - you literally take it off one rail and bolt it to the other and its super solid, I actually still have these installed but not for much longer
I was tempted to go for the BYS lower seat rail but the fact that they are welded didn't make me feel comfortable since experts told me that seat rail should never be welded pieces. I looked into Recaro japan super low seat rail but you need a sport seat for those. I agree that the sitting position is the worst defect of the S2000. You seat so high compared to the steering wheel that it's weird. Even my family s utilitarian Fiat Punto can get the wheel at my chest's height. Besides I really wish I could bring the steering wheel much closer. In italy there is a company selling a steering wheel spacer which brings the steering wheel 5cm closer without any other particular mod but I don't like the look. I think a sport seat would make the wheel feel even more far away. Don't wanna go for aftermarket without airbag even though some wheels looks astonishing on the S. ciao good job with the video, very clear
As long as the welds are executed well, there shouldn't be a real issue with a welded bracket. Yes welds fail over time but we're talking years and years and years for something like that to happen. If you're not doing anything insane with the car either, there's even less cause for those welds to deteriorate. Anywho, I'm glad you agree w most points of the video, it's hard being a slightly taller driver in the S but w a few tweaks it can be much more livable!
@@massimilianozeni1848 funny you ask this, I actually love it more and more every day! each time I get in the car I'm pleasantly surprised by the reduced height - weirdly, car feels more comfortable, more solid? and safer
@@massimilianozeni1848 yeah no issues reaching for the wheel at all, if anything I'm more comfortable sitting closer to the wheel because my legs aren't making contact with it but I sit semi far back enough to get as low as possible while maintaining a 45 degree bend in the arms
sorta! It's a great product bit I've decided to grab a bucket seat (see newer videos) so I'm piecing together a new set up (: if you wanna buy this rail let me know haha

Haha just did mine last week too! Nice choice

Damn i need this lol. Have the same issue with stop lights
pull the trigger! don't look back
I might have mine for sale soon lmk!
What did you do with the air bag sensor switch?
What are the new seat called?
I know this is an older video, but for those who don't know... 1 inch equals 25.4 mm. So yeah, that 20mm drop is about an inch ;)
Feels like I just posted this haha crazy how fast stuffs moves on youtube
Did you just use the bolt without the washer and lock nut for the seat belt? And supposed to be solid with no movement?

@@jaelnava_ just FYI got it Installed but for back right when I put bolt in the seat does not slide all the way back, when I take it out it does …

@@jaelnava_ tempting. How do you find the driving position after a few day of use? Enjoy. Ciao
