Which is it? If the baby was hurt the mom’s definitely to blame. Instead of yanking on its poor leg she could’ve just taken the baby back from the sibling. Instead she watches it get tossed around like a rag doll or some other inanimate disposable object. The sister pulling and grabbing with all 4 hands (2 hands, 2 “feet”) then trying to chew on its head all the while playing tug of war with mom pulling the opposite direction as big sis keeps trying to throw baby onto her back. I understand they are much tougher than human infants but it was still hard to watch. I’m assuming you felt the same given the first part of your comment. But the second part quite contradicts the first, don’t you think? Would a “good mom” just lazily sit there instead of moving a few inches to retrieve the baby? Would a good mom not only watch her baby being yanked around and even dropped at least once? Would she herself hang onto the leg as the baby is pulled further and further away? I realize we can’t apply the same standards to gorilla moms as we do human moms. But we should at least be able to acknowledge when we’re watching up close as a baby most definitely could’ve been seriously hurt. Instead everyone wants to gush about how much mom loves her baby (sooo holding your baby’s foot as your older child yanks it, drops it, tries to chew on it is a sign of true parental love?) and what a good mom she is and how “obviously” happy mom and baby are. Really? What gave that impression? The baby’s furrowed brow and flailing about trying to grab someone or something to cling to to feel safe again and stop the utter chaos and confusion its going through? The mom’s blank expression and reluctance to move from that one position even when a slight adjustment would make baby feel safer? 😒 I love primates, especially the Great Apes so I watch tons of these kinds of videos. The most surprising thing I’ve learned has nothing to do with the animals. It’s how completely irrational and delusional and how deep in denial people often are despite the irrefutable evidence in front of their face. The way they twist everything into the narrative they prefer in the comment section is positively pathological. And this behavior seems to be most common with primates, particularly when a baby is involved.
I can never understand why people record with sound when all you hear is chattering people. In addition I hate zoos. I don't get it. I would rather live free in the jungle with the python, than in a cage watched and safe. Had humans left animals where they were created it would be a different planet.
I think mom is fine with play, but not chasing after when the toddler running off with the baby!
She is a good mom.

I completely agree with you. :)
Where's he going to run to, the other side of the cage?
just lovely to see both mom and big sister with baby.
Thank you for watching my video. :)
Was scared the baby's leg would get hurt.
This is just the sweetest & most endearing display of "Motherly" love for both her children...
I completely agree with you. :)
At least she let him play for a little while!😊
She is such a great mother. You can see her love for the baby in her face. The baby is happy on top all that. It looks healthy as well.
可愛くて仕方なくて!心配で仕方なくて!!!😂😂
That baby can sure stretch.
Que gracioso, la mama no suelta al bebe y la hermana se empeña en jugar con el !😊
She tried & tried & tried. But, mom said, nope. My baby.
Just like a typical mother who want let her baby out of her site
That camera is sooooo annoying.

Family values
Now she is old and not that careful or interested in her daughter, so the siblings play with her like a ball and she has huge cuts on her head.
Sweetness.
Get that baby away from Gentaro before he hurts it. He is to rough with his baby brother.
You know that is not Gentaro.
Wait till the leg snpas !
