How to Fix Remote Not Working on Chromecast with Google TV (Try This!)

Do you want to know how to fix remote not working on chromecast with google TV! To do this take out your batteries and then press down the power button for 15 seconds and press all the buttons down. Then re pair your remote back to the chromecast! Then you can setup a TV to your chromecast! Go to setting remote and accessories and setup a TV!

Thank you, this got it working again although eventually. I had to pair it three times before it actually started working again. I don't think discharging residual current did anything. I know that works for a number of more sophisticated electrical appliances like monitors and laptops and so on but on this small thing, idk... Nor did I have to set the TV up again. I simply pressed and held the button on the chromecast until the light came on, then held home and back simultaneously until the light on the remote "pulsed" (which it did just once, same for you) then it found it and was connecting and still nothing for two times, third was the charm. Don't give up folks, keep trying.

HELP! All my apps are working except RUclips, not on the remotes button not on the Google Chrome TV button. I've unistalled, cleared the cache, done the above video and still, it opens for 3 seconds then goes back out. Not an old TV and was working fine. Netflix, Prime work 100%, just RUclips

The only thing I needed to do was :
1) depress the power for 20 seconds after I had taken the batteries out
2) Put them back in and viola’

It doesn't work when you set up the chrome TV remote keys using Hisense TV, to control the device, so I used the Chrome Cast to control the remove features for the Hisense TV
