Thanks to everyone who told me the text was missing at the end, I don't know how that happened... anyways I'll post my criticisms here!
DESIGN
- Fred is as simple as you can get design-wise, the fleshiness of him was portrayed quite well in this mod.
- Sprites look quite nice, no inherent pillow shading or unnecessary detail, just straight to the point. Great work!
GAMEPLAY
- The idea behind a tear that leaves creep behind is nothing original, in fact ipecac community mod has done it with Harlequinitis, but having an item that allows constant creep-leaving tears is quite refreshing.
- Lil Fred is also a nice addition, with him being basically a better lil loki.
- The Fred challenge is fun, but honestly not too much of a challenge due to item rooms and d6 being utilized.
BALANCE
- I was expecting Fred's eye to be overpowered, but by itself it is quite an underpowered item with how short the creep puddles last.
- When paired with technology or brimstone, it suddenly becomes overpowered due to the sheer size of the creep puddles it leaves.
- to balance, I would suggest making the creep puddles last longer, and/or reducing the size of creep puddles that spawn when paired with technology or brimstone.
Actually I prefer having the criticisms here, it's easier to read.
I would make the creep puddle smaller for lasers and keep the short duration, but make it scale with your damage and the challenge shouldn't have treasure rooms or the D6.
Overall I don't think that the item really fits in to the game because it's too similar to misterious liquid.
The familiar, on the other hand looks fine to me.

7:25, I feel like you're missing something here.
The items should be guaranteed drops from Mr. Fred
The fred challenge feels a bit unbalanced tbh. Like, it really dosen't seem challenging. It's basically a normal run except you don't have to fight mom's heart/it lives and you start with 2 additional items, one of wich (Fred's eye) is really good. I'd make it so that item rooms aren't a thing to make it a bit more challenging.
I would have at least disabled item rooms and buffed fred.
To be fair there's a fair amount of challenges that make isaac OP in the game. I would disable item rooms though
I dont think Fred's eye is all that, its a little bit of extra damage and some creep, adding like... 0.5 damage, but it's supposed to be a challenge ig, i still think it'd be meh

In the beginning, you said “band new” instead of “brand new”. Also you forgot to add nouns to the “However” part of BFFs buff on Lil Fred
This looks so good. It should be added to the main game.
this mod has a pretty unique idea, and its nice to see more ideas come to life in the binding of isaac modding community, overall i think these could or should be an actual item in the game!

The mod is great and such, but when we grabs the Brimstone and fire, the eyes still stand there, like there's eyes into his mouth too. Even when we grab the Soy Milk, it's very weird.
