I was born in early '57 and grew up in, back then, the little beach town of Newport Beach, California, during the dripping wet surf guitar era, which was so cool and so much fun and wild, but way too short lived. The world was changing extremely rapidly during the sixties, with super heavy events, styles, and genres that had never happened before. So, of course that sound got eclipsed by the late sixties. I hear that dripping wet surf guitar sound in your music, and I love the way that your band is doing it, fresh, unique, and wild with your own style. Its so boss... (that was a hip thing for kids to say in NPB around '62-'63. it meant really, really cool....)
Just saw these ladies on wednesday AND THEY ROCK AND ROLL BABYYYYYY The show was so fun and so amazing, they played so great and they really set the tone for the night.
I used the little paper glasses that come with the album. Any retro blue/red 3d glasses should work - all those blue-red effects in the video do more than look cool!
They're a little bit like the female "Electric Prunes" ... d'ya remember this late 60s garage rock psychedelic band ? La Luz music is like a supspended bridge to Hawaï (hi why?)
