A few months back, the LORD showed me that we are like trees. He is the ground that we’re rooted in and the air around us. He sends the rain to refresh us. Mike, I normally endorse your preaching as I love your heart for Christ, but this🙄, is just nonsense. I get the context of your message.... get out and deliver the gospel to all nations, without a 'look at me'
I'm a single dad with no vehicle. My young son and I live 12 miles outside the city limits. I love all 3 Persons of my God. I'll never fully understand The Sacrifice that God, my Heavenly Father, made for the sin of the world, worthy enough that God, The Son, Jesus Christ, finished His work that dreadful day, or thankful enough that God, The Holy Spirit would even consider dwelling in me or leading me through my life.
God is good. God has always blessed and kept me. I don't have any way to get to church. That does not mean that I'm not a Christian, that I'm doing something wrong or that I should just give up passing on, to my son, the knowledge of The Bible and of God that I do have, give up reading The Bible to him, or worshipping God with him. I'd like to think that you didn't mean it the way I took it, but I've been saved for 26 years. I'm worried about the newly saved. Please just be careful what you say. People in prison, who are stuck in their cell 23 hours a day, with no access to a church or a church session, CAN still be Christians.
Don't talk generosity and then say how you dropped $250,000 on a property for church gatherings. God is not pleased with stewarding his money that way, we don't need to be building buildings and buying properties as the church, we need to be the church and stop putting our money into things like that that waste his resources.
