yeah i noticed that when i watched the vid again and checked the title. i had actually watched this match live on stream, and on their schedule it showed anything below top 32 as a part of pools. i just stopped by to leave an appreciation comment for the talent. thanks for the correction though! i’ll keep a sharper eye on it next time :)
Yeah Wario waft is the better robbery factor mechanics wise. Kaz Rage drive goes away quick. Warrior can store that between stocks. Wario also has the perfect tool to counter Kaz Up b recovery off stage as he used multiple time on it. Glutto adjusted in game 2 and beyond and just stopped eating so many EWGFs
Considering how hard it is to get a true combo into waft (getting the opponent to fly the way you want), that's not robbery at all. Kaz rage is available every stock, waft is time-dependent, those mechanics have their advantages and downsides, but it is so different it is hard to compare
Kazuya gets Rage Drive three times per match. Wario typically gets one fully charged waft per match. Kazuya can use his Rage Drive as many times as he wants until he either lands it or gets hit three times, while Wario can only use his waft once, even if he misses.
I think they're different in function. Kaz Rage is a stock finisher that you get 3 times per match (it is wayy easier to land as well), while Waft is more difficult to convert into but the fact that it charges passively gives him the incentive to not always be the one that approaches. Waft is on a more consistent character as well while Ragedrive is is on a character that Needs It(TM)
Kazuya can literally zero to death off a move that is quick (8f), invincible where it matters and has barely any lag (35 total frames, basically joker f-tilt). That's a much stronger robbery mechanic than rage drive and waft combined

@@vstars1042 A 3-0 is still a pretty decisive victory, even if the games themselves were close. It would be CLOSE if Axiom XL managed to take a game or two. But he was shut out. So yeah, it wasn't really close
