Hi Deanna, I am anxiously waiting to see your Valentine journal. I bought a bunch of Little Golden books from my local thrift store, but have yet to make a journal. I have, however, dismantled a couple of the little books in anticipation. I found if I use a hair dryer on the golden tape binding that it comes right off. Then I can get to the staples very easily. I think I'm going to make a travelers style journal so I wanted to keep the folds on the pages. I love how your videos show different kinds of crafts - sewing, paper and making embellishments, etc. So varied and so enjoyable to watch. It's all good!
Love your Haul ! For your stamp paper DT may still have them but you can get it on Amazon cheap enough. Believe it or not and I tried it and it works! Go into the pet section for grooming. Get yourself a scissor that one side has a comb on it and when you cut it gives you the perfect stamp like perforations You will be really Happy with it ! 💖.
You can always judge a paper by how it feels it can be the cutest paper in the world, but if it’s flimsy, it’s no good. You always end up with a few words you wouldn’t want to say because the paper tears or doesn’t do what you want it to.
