Anti haul - Why I'm NOT buying the New Aloha Stitch Be Happy Box & My $5 Amazon Alternative!

- Hey planner pals. Let me preface this video with a little disclaimer that this is MY opinion and review of the new Aloha Stitch Be Happy Box. I am not anti Disney in planners, I love Disney, I love cartoons and I love Lilo and Stitch but I will not be buying this box. In the video I share why but in a nutshell it comes down to the fact that I'd be paying $55 for a Happy Planner notebook, paper and 10 sheets of stickers. I'm still undecided on the value sticker book, it's going to depend on the stickers in the book and whether it's available at Joanns (so I can use my coupons!!!). But the Aloha Stitch be happy box is a hard pass! And I'm super disappointed because this could have been amazing!
What I bought in the interim of the aloha stitch value sticker pack release was some vinyl stickers from Amazon which I unbox and share in the video.

Glad it isn’t just me who feels this way. I’ve been working on resizing my digital Stitch stickers so I can print and cut them with the cricket. I’m hopeful the value book. Saw a few pictures that looked like it could be good. Thank you for the link, just ordered a set!
Exactly!! I'm gonna wait on my decision on the value book, but I want my planner boxes to be planner supplies!!! I am also doing more circuit stickers too!
I actually find those punched pen cases really useful and I would call them planner supplies. I use a lot of different pens in my spreads so it's nice to have a place where I can keep the pens I am using for that month. Not a Disney fan so I was never going to get this but I do think something not being your taste and something not bring worth it are two different things and you conflate them a bit in this video. For example, I don't like the holographic either and I wouldn't use them. But that doesn't mean they lose all objective value to the worth of the box.
Thanks for the feedback. Agree to disagree on the value vs worth. That's always going to be subjective as it depends on the individual. And something you wouldn't use does make the item lose value. I would rather they just add the products to the store and we choose what we want to buy rather than put them as limited editions in the be happy boxes. That was you can buy the pencil cases and I could buy the notebook lol!
I like the pen cases too. I work and I also went back to college. So it’s helpful to have pens and highlighters in one spot for my homework notes. I love using the HP paper for school in particular. So this all works well together. I do also like the different, softer version of their Stitch character. But I just love Stitch in general 🥰
I’ve been doing this for over a year now as it is hard for us to get the Disney items here in England. I got a Mulan set like these and love them. I’ll have a look out for the stitch ones. I only ever got one be happy box and I actually sold the bits I didn’t want and made back enough money to more or less get the sticker book I actually wanted for free so there is always that option. I am with you on the holographic foil!

Thank you sooooo much for this information. I just ordered my Stitch stickers from Amazon and saved myself quite a bit of $$$$ as I have to deal with exchange rates living in Canada.

This video is soooooo on point! I love stitch but the box was an absolute no for me. I did order the classic sticker book directly from Amazon though. At least I know I’ll use those stickers.
Still on the fence with the Value sticker book, but if it comes to Joanns I'll probably get it

I love this box! But… in Canada it’s going to cost me probably $100 with exchange, shipping and customs… and that is ridiculous. ☹️ I was so stoked when I watched a preview video and couldn’t wait to order it for my birthday spreads next month but when I do the math I feel like I’m being totally ripped off.
Oh wow! Yep Reenie (enchanted planner) did the math and the box alone will be $75 then shipping like you said. It looks cool from the images they did but when you look at the actual stuff you will USE it tells a whole new story!
Oh totes! The exchange and shipping are bad enough,,, but then, we may get hit with duties (I'm in BC) even a simple conversion- taking the 55 bucks US to Cdn is $70 before shipping and conversion and not counting the likelihood of 20-30 bucks in duty.
The majority of my spreads are Disney themed and another great place when you’re looking to do a Disney spread is Etsy. They have a lot of cute Disney stickers too! I’m in the minority that stitch is my least favorite Disney character so I was really thrilled I wouldn’t be tempted to buy the Disney collection this time around lol but even if it was for a character or theme I liked, I agree that this box wouldn’t have been something I bought since it didn’t feel worth it at all. Also want to say it’s refreshing to have a RUclipsr not act like everything a company puts out is the greatest thing ever 😉
Thanks, yeah I gotta be truthful. I was so hopeful and it was a huge dissapointment as a Disney lover that this box was so "meh". I just got some great Disney Minnie Stickers from Hobby Lobby for 99c (video soon) but yep good Disney stuff out there, just gotta look outside of "planner" supplies!
Glad I am not alone. Im not a HP person but was so going to jump on this box because I love Stitch. I was so disappointed in what it comes with and wish it wasnt a notebook only.
yep, there is a planner coming later this month, but I dunno why they aren't releasing it all together. So annoying!

I have never purchased a Big Happy Box for this very reason. I want to be able to use what I spend my money on and these bundle boxes are at least half filled with things that I would never use.

yep some of the images are different artistic interpretations, Disney do this a lot actually. I prefer the more traditional 3D than the 2D image
