It is sad that they cannot have children, but there are other ways to have children, such as adoption, artificial insemination or surrogacy. Life is not just about making children, but it's nice to have them by one's side, when one's last days approach they will need someone to be there for them. 😌
if Neil was sterile, why would he make it look like his wife was infertile! he was in denial and projected it towards his wife. communication is the key just like education is the key to success

I think the only reason he forgave his wife is because Neal had been lying too. There wasn't any honesty in their relationship, so it was easy for the other to assume that their partner was up-to-no-good. Neal realized this, and forgave his wife for lying about the pregnancy because he wasn't 100% truthful to her either. I hope their parents were as forgiving, even if it took a while to understand everything.

HERE'S MY IDEA FOR A FOLLOW-UP: If the husband's parents ever asked why there was no baby, he would tell them that his wife went through a phantom pregnancy while he underwent the treatment. They had been considering adopting as well but wanted to run the idea by them & the wife's parents should the test fail. They adopt baby twins from the orphanage & days after the twins turn 10 years old the parents discover a GENUINE PREGNANCY & they have TWINS AGAIN! Sometimes it takes a VERY LONG TIME to have your wish granted.
Children and marriage as well as relationships are our personal choices we should not be under duress or give in to social convention and societal pressure

You can fake a pregnancy…but how do you fake a baby?
A lot of the time when women do that, they're hoping that their husband/boyfriend will actually get them pregnant during the fake pregnancy
Fake miscarriage or stillbirth sadly is often the end result, or worse, getting actually pregnant.
Adopting one
Can't fake a baby, but faking a miscarriage would at least sound a lot more like faking a pregnancy.
