I feared for Eddie after hole 1 - in fact my heart was already breaking for him. But the fact he ended up beating Danny and Steven by 8 shots is pretty incredible. His only club throw came in exasperation at Danny's flukey putt on hole 5.
Wolf putts like his putter is attached to a string, and the string is attached to someone's loose tooth, and he is trying to yank it out. His touch on shots and his aim can be all over the place, but congrats to Wolf on making the cut.

If your ball goes out of play from any shot you can play it from wherever it ends up or play a 1 shot penalty from wherever you played the original shot from, playing a one shot penalty and your ball nearer the hole is not right

Danny was looking like his typical self until the strange persistence to try that line on hole 6 pretty much cost him the entire tournament. Steven has had a rough go in majors after his major win Wolf didn't play the best but Danny and Steven never could take advantage. With this course you never know, could maybe make a comeback. Bella played very well but a few missed close range putts gives Eddie a clear advantage heading into round 2. Great first round, lots of surprises. Also really like this pick for a major course as it's a nice blend of challenge but also allows for some creativity and unique risks rather than just a pure putt-off. Great video
There's a game I play that uses Stars as representation of leveling up, one you get past 5 stars you get a red star. It'd be pretty cool to apply that here. So instead of having 6 stars above your name just have 1 red one. Then once you get past 5 Reds change the color. Just an idea!

That was an extremely impressive finish for Eddie after shooting a 5 on hole 1, 36 shots for 17 holes is an excellent score. Super consistent and never had a meltdown. Danny's insistence on his hole-in-one line on 6 was his undoing, but lots of missed short putts added to the struggles. Steven just couldn't get it going, and Bella and Wolf faded toward the end. This might just be Eddie's major to lose?! Would not have expected Round 2 to consist entirely of new contenders! Let's go Eddie, get that W!
