The people there can do and repair anything and make it look new. I know, I was there recently and my watch was disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt-like new . ..and not charged a centavo. The Philippines is gifted with Filipino skills, so innovative and imaginative. I know of a car mechanic who rebuilt a car that was a complete write-off.
Hill Roberts in my place somewhere in Iloilo there’s a secondary drop out who can fix a car that is only good for scrapyard.and he don’t have a proper education about engineering or mechanics🥰
I can't stop smiling, watching this. The friendliness of random people and their eagerness to help, it gets me emotional even. Beautiful Filipino people 🙏👍🍀❤️
Kulas, your leadership is second to none... That car problem is really hard to fix but you made it. Tired and beat-up, but still leading the #fighterboys to glory!!! Power On!!!
I love your positivity Kyle. When most of the guys didn't have enough faith that everything will be fine, you never lost any reason to smile and push forward. Really powerful stuff. Very nice Kulas. Keep on shaka.
Kulas you're so good to be true...without you pano nlang ang fighter boys. Praises also go to the Fipino Fighter Boys, so lucky to have them around you.
You always stay in whatever dire situation and look for solution, Kyle. You also showed great appreciation of ingenuity of the local repairmen of Samar. God bless you, Kyle. Such a good man.
Happy old memories! Catbalogan was our port dock when we get home from Manila for our school breaks in the 70's. The same roads we take going to Borongan. Probably the same auto repair shops handed down to generations. The bus breakdown occurences were a normal thing and these people would be able to fix the buses and cars come what may. I remember in one of my vacations from abroad in the early 90's, I had german friends with me and we rented an old car and it broke down on the road. I was frantic, turning to my german friend,; "you bloody work at Mercedes Benz as mechanic specialist, why don't you take a look?". He did, open the hood, closed it again came back saying, "bloody hell! it's filled with junk, can't fix it!" So we brought it to a vulcanizing shop, and they were able to fix it. The german mechanic couldn't believe his eyes and was amazed at the ingenuity of the filipinos and said, i don't know how to fix those kind because i haven't fixed a junk. we just throw them away. lol!
For today's video: 1. Interesting quote from Dan-dan: I am a pessimist when this go right and an optimist when things go wrong. 👌👍 2. Kulas, you are now have earned another degree, BSVS. Bachelor of Science, major in Vulcanizing Shop. 😅😅😅😅. 3. So nice of you guys to go back to the shop and give them Fighter wine and some goodies. Those families certainly appreciates it & will surely remember you. 4. Your support team really makes a big difference to your adventure.

In my years being an expat Filipino professional within our region, when there's something needing to be fixed and no else can do it then the Filipinos are called in. We're like the scout rangers that saves the day and it's no secret among OFW's that what I'm saying is true. Filipinos can innovate and adopt to the situation with little or no logistics and most of all are Jack-of-all-trades so in this video that ability again manifested itself. Kulas giving Fighter Wines and other give aways to the local mechanics in appreciation for service rendered just made him somefriends for life!
