i love how you are so honest about mental health and being overwhelmed, enjoying certain things a bit less, etc. I really struggle with anxiety and high sensitivity so it is nice for me to see and hear from other people that they struggle with a busy schedule or many adjustments as well. Thank you!

Norwegian wood is such a good book and if you like it I HIGHLY suggest other Murakami books that get weirder and weirder in an amazing way, he’s such an interesting author
i agree he is a great unconventional author, but the rape scene in kafka on the shore made me not read his books anymore. i could not stand how he justified it, disgusting

Middlesex is one of my favourite novels! First read it in high school and then dissected it in a cégep English class which blew my mind. Enjoy his gorgeous writing

omg I’ve been waiting for the london vlogs, 21 minutes of heaven. ur in between talking segments are my absolute favvv ur so well spoken! also i love murakami’s writing despite the hate around him lol
finished Norwegian wood yesterday. going in I didn't know if I would like Murakami's style of writing and the setting in Tokyo, but I ended up really enjoying it. at times I felt that the characters described feelings and thoughts that I often have myself, which was really interesting. The bell jar is amazing, but it can put you in a certain mood, so if you're feeling a bit lonely and adjusting in a new place I would recommend having a lighter book on hand as well haha

The book bunny was so good. I really enjoyed it. It’s a book that starts a little slow but it leaves u questioning what u read and it’s definitely unique to other books I read.

Ahhh can’t believe you visited London! I hope you liked the Uk, it can be a bit bleak and overwhelming at times but it’s also so lovely and you can find the most surprising quaint places. Amazing vlog as usual

London is so busy and can often be super overwhelming - I hope you enjoyed it though and would consider visiting in the spring or summertime (my favourite times of year in the U.K.)! Also some cool restaurants I could definitely see you enjoying are Chutney Mary, Rovi, Nopi (basically any Ottolenghi restaurant) and Gloria. There are so many interesting places to see, but my favourite activities are just wandering through Regent’s & St James’ Park and enjoying the calm of the parks amidst the chaos of the city. Also you might consider visiting other regions in the U.K.? I’m from the North of England and the Northumberland coast heading up to Scotland is so beautiful and peaceful. Would also recommend Oxford and Cambridge and the Yorkshire Dales :)

You have probably eaten polenta at some time. It is made with maize (US-corn). Originally, real Italian polenta was made from chestnut meal. That is why we have so many chestnut trees in England - the Romans planted them after we became part of the Empire just so they could enjoy polenta like Mama used to make.
