I am a Catholic convert (born into a protestant family). I can truly empathize with Cardinal William Goh when he is trying to convey how fully stretch his schedule is to these audiences. As a somewhat new catholic, the majority of catholic need to be more kinder to their priests as they literally gave their life away for us. So I am truly surprised some parishioners actually complained when the priest delivers a longer than usual homily; while I remember fondly when my previous church sermon last for over an hour - of course speaker was very charismatic and funny but not without substance. Uncommon but I wish the homily is longer :) All these sermons are seeds of wisdom. For some homily you know they lived thru those life experiences and are great teachable moments for us believers. Maybe some priest just needs to work harder to engage the parishioners, so ya, just pray for them. Catholics need to be more active in small group/community, get together and must bond through bible studies or prayers. I have and it has been great!! Find your group and you will get there! The only gripe I could not get over is the RCIA process is too long lah..

Amen agree. I often arrange for special appointment with the priest when I knew I have many things to confess. If from now to the time when the special confession is available and I feel I am not spiritually ready to receive the Eucharist during mass, then don't receive. We actually don't have to receive the Eucharist on every Sunday during mass. Make a spiritual communion.
Best not to rush to have a confession mechanically just for the purpose of wanting to receive the Holy Communion immediately. (Many of us are doing it this way because we feel pai seh for remaining in the pew while others are lining up to receive the Holy Communion)

All the topics sounds interesting but it is sad that it is organised for only the few and viewership of youtube is extremelt low compared to other religious organizations. In fact, Cardinal Goh should actually hold such alks monthly in a hall for more audiences including non catholics whom experience life negatively. It a waste such sharing is not known to many whom are in need of answers. Do consider this positively.

I can understand the Cardinal trying very hard to connect with those who are "broken" but I hope this doesn't encourage a kind of introspective and self centred view or self entitled view... that I am the centre of everything... so you must not hurt me... there shoudl also be a balance... there are many self entitled individuals and I pity the priests who work on the ground and in the "battle filed" of faith... and sometimes are bombarded by these self enttiled persons... I myself have tried to explain to these persons as a ministry memeber... I would like the Cardinal to interview thos eof us in ministry and even Priests so that we can have a ture balanced presentation of "a heart to heart"
