The original was already good but Ken’s interpretation elevated it even more. The choice to do it just with an accompanying guitar was genius because it just highlighted his vocals and made it a tad more romantic.

Moving Closer is actually the official theme song of Close Up, a toothpaste ad, released in 2012. I am surprised and at the same time glad that Warner Music Phils gave this to Ken. This fits his voice perfectly.

Never the Stranger was also under Warner Music when they released this song for a toothpaste commercial, 10 or 11 years ago. FELIP is now under this label, and for the label's 30th Anniversary, new artists like FELIP had to cover one OPM song. I am very happy that FELIP chose this song. I miss it! I was also a fan of Never the Strangers, and I couldn't believe I'd have this song in FELIP's version. I was in bed with my earbuds and blasted Felip's version and I kid you not, I CRIED. It was like a lullaby, and I couldn't handle the nostalgia.
I feel like we'll have new songs from him coming up hopefully soon, as he's been hinting on it on his IG!! And fans are joking around twitter that he is in his LOVER BOY era.. LMAOOO

Yes Hurraira this was a blessing to us A’TIN & Sisiws/Felip stans. His voice was so soothing, dreamy & eargasmic and so much more LIVE!!! I came to his pre Christmas solo event (A Holiday Trail at Ayala Malls) yesterday (Nov.8) and he performed this live for the 1st time! We all screamed & himlay (swooned). He also sang a cover of Mistletoe by Justin B. it was so good too! There are several fancams (eq.JustinTime) I hope you could react to it. 😍🐣

This cover is part of the Warner Music Philippines 30th anniversary celebration with current Warner talents covering older iconic OPM songs under their catalogue. I think it's safe to say, since he's so versatile, none of us actually managed to guess what he was covering and in what style so this was a sweet surprise 🥰

Come to think of it, in 2012, Ken was just 16 years old. But in past interviews, he mentioned that some of his favorite songs are from The Carpenters like Close To You. He loves old songs . Maybe because in the province that time, these are the songs that they like to listen to.

In the credits of the video, Felip thanked SB19 as usual just like in the past. But he changed it to Pablo/Josh Cullen/Stell/Justin. Perhaps because thanking SB19 is like thanking himself as he is a part of them. Or maybe since SB19 is under SME and as a solo artist he is under WMP, there might be some conflicts. But thanking his brothers individually is the sweetest gesture and shows how much Ken loves them.

The song is simple with simple lyrics since it's for a toothpaste commercial CLOSE UP. We love the band Never the Stranger and Felip did a great cover. He canbe a balladeer too, his voice can be a rockstar and an rnb singer. He is so flexible.

Kind of expected to be surprised but at the same time, not really, because he is just this amazing artist that keeps us at the edge of our seats, waiting to be pleasantly surprised . Am like a mother hanging on to everything, growing more proud every minute I'm listening to the song. Ahhh! I truly agree, he deserves the world and more, just like his brothers. T.O.P was my favorite because of his low voice. And I was not into Kpop b4 coz I am more of acoustic and alternative RNb kind of girl.
T.O.P made me listen to Bigbang. I first knew him as an actor in Kdrama I recall I was drawn into him coz he is pogi and has a low voice and I like his suplado (snobbish) demeanor. Low voice, bad ass, snobbish, but can be hilarious if he wants to and his appreciation for arts is out of this world too.
I get to see a lot of Ken's persona in him. Not that I compare but I am drawn to this type of personality in an artist.
FELIP Is the first member of SB19 I have seen live. I went to his solo gig first before watching SB19 concert. And he is everything u ever dream of and more. His voice live cannot be captured fully in camera. His voice hits different in flesh. It is unreal. And covering this Iconic Music in a TV commercial ( yes it was from a Close up Toothpaste commercial)

Now you get to see the trend that commercials here in Philippines are done differently because they create amazing music for an advert in a Telly. That is how Pablo is making such good music for the adverts coz he grew up listening to this.
