Fun fact about Zadkiel: in this show, he's the angel of righteousness, but in mythology he's the angel of mercy and forgiveness. So it makes perfect sense that he's the only one to "forgive" Lucifer and join his side in the fight.
Interesting. I love his character, hope we will see more of him in s6. I love how he became a true sibling to Lucifer unlike other angels who joined Michael because of fear
@@oxanatarashchuk4598same, I want to see more.
Just out of curiosity, for the whole 'delay tactic', do you think Zadkiel knew in advance, or did he just go along with it? XD
I love so much how the writers incorporate these little..."easter eggs".
@@MotRekrab1347 100% he just went along with it.
He was able to get the light (truth, love...) out of himself. His father had told him after their musical duet "Son, the Light Bringer, so full of light that it even blinds you." He was not able to "see", to understand after so many years in pain and sorrow. In darkness. But Dad also said "The darker the darkness, the brightest the light" meaning that only those who fall can also rise. In Heaven Lucifer was able of an utmost act of total love, of total selflessness. The greatest self-centred person we have learnt to love was willing to sacrifice himself for the person he loved. This was Dad's plan: he already knew his successor. The only person who had to come to terms with it was Lucifer.
True 👍👏
OMG just realised that we already had a hint to what happened here in s1. When Lucifer was on therapy Linda said "When angels fall they also rise". Don't remember the episode, but she said that. Oh this writing is brilliant 👍👍👍
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 1x06, as far as I'm concerned
@@Glist_B_Panamke7 thank you!
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 Exactly. In fact the episode of the stolen wings represents, according to Tom Ellis's words, the first time he experienced his first moment of self-exploration. Furthermore, Linda's words are later recalled in the episode "Et tu, doctor?", always in season 1, when a guy is going to jump off a building and Lucifer tells him that the only way to escape a bleak life is to go but up. He's looking for answers, but he is too blind, still emotionally immature and full of himself to apply those observations to his own life. He already has the answers but he doesn't understand them.
Fun fact: the words Maze says to Eve at Lux are Lesley's wedding vows.
Wait what ?!?
Yeah, the writers and showrunners gave her the go ahead to improv those lines into the scene. It was awesome!
@@SponsorNo1 that's amazing no wonder it was so heartfelt thanks for letting me know :)
I liked how they had Michael fighting with the sword of death and Lucifer with the tree of life.
And in the Bible book of Genesis, the purpose of the flaming sword was to guard the way to the Tree of Life.
I thought the same thing
Chloe is literally the cutest. Her little dance after "hammer time" is so iconic already 😂
A theory is that because angels self-actaualize, Lucifer giving up his own life to save someone he loves made him worthy to go back home, essentially ending his banishment from heaven.. the moment he said “I love you” the spots on his body go from a burning orange color to pure white and I want to connect it with something having to do with him being the “light-bringer” but this is just my spin off of one of the theories
I like that theory.
It was love and self sacrifice that proved Lucifer was worthy of being the new God.
From what I've seen and read it's about his self sacrifice to save Chloe xxx
Yeah that’s the only thing coming to my mind too!
Or guilt, like in hell. You only get punished, when you think you deserve punishment.
My best guess as to why he came back was his sacrifice and a truly selfless act to bring Chloe back
Exactly what I think so too🤔
A la Hercules’ sacrifice for Megara
Because while Lucifer has done many selfless things in a sense, he usually only does them if they benefit him in some way but this one there was no benefit for him, at least not in the moment he did it. True selflessness
@@ashtontrammell1693 He went to Hell twice for Chloe. He's been selfless before.
@@adrianvladmladin1005 here he did more, he sacrificed his life. In s2 ep13 he still had a chance to come back because of Linda, but now he had to choose between himself and Chloe. And he choose her despite of bad consequences for himself, of losing his life instead. This was a way much more selfless act then before
Episode 15 and 16 SHOULD NOT be watched back to back, I learned the hard way. The trauma of losing Chloe and Lucifer immediately after Dan, it was TRAUMATISING. I was screaming and crying so hard that I gave myself a headache. I think Mr SOB making his way out of hell and into heaven foreshadows Dan making his way out and being reunited with Charlotte in heaven. The writers have promised S6 will deliver and soothe our souls after all the emotion of 5B
ikr, I was like Trixie can NOT lose both her parents!!
Well it’s too late now 😩😩😩😩 grave mistake
i think he was allowed in heaven again after self actualizing that he was worthy of both being god and worthy of chloe's love
But he wasn't allowed in Heaven and that's why he was burning up. He became God not through self actualizing but through love and self sacrifice.
@@Cullenprime true
I think there would have been more fighting but probably that was the best they could do with Covid restrictions. And in case you didn’t know, the actor playing John Decker is Leslie-Ann Brandt ‘s husband.
Ahh yes!!
Omg yes I know that’s amazing ☺️
I cried so much in this episode 😭
I can imagine just sobbing that my nose got red😂
There was suppose to be more, but when they had finished writing the episode they learned they were getting another season, so they had to remove that and that's pretty much what we'll get in season, only longer, from what I understand. Maybe that's why you felt it ended abruptly. Personally I thinknit qas a perfect ending of the season, so I disagree on that part.
Btw, did you see how far apart they all stood in the colosseum scene?? Those scenes were shot during the pandemic. They only had that left to shoot and then they had to shut down because of the pandemic. Then they came back 6 months later to finish it. That's why it took so much longer than expected for 5B to come out.
Omg no way I had no idea they filmed it during the pandemic thank you for letting me know!! Wow I just felt for my selfish reasons I wanted more but now it makes sense 🤔
Just a side note- I love Eve’s little “woo” when fighting. Like this is all so crazy but she is kind of having fun
I honestly think Lucifer survived because he finally felt worthy of both being God and being worthy of Chloe's love.
Or because I don't think Lucifer was ever banned from heaven, it was Michael spreading rumor about him saying that going to heaven would kill him which Lucifer self actualized.
Either reason could be a possibility.
Also, since everyone forgot at the end, RIP, Remiel, you proud warrior!
I guess the fight wasn't bigger because this wasn't about the fighting it was more about the choices the characters made .... plus The budget.
And I'm sure COVID restrictions made getting a huge crowd of actors to contact fight would have been difficult.
@@IceMetalPunk yes, that too.
When Chloe was with her dad. It got me.... She became a cop to make him proud and now here he is✨
12:55 Classic Lucifer right there.
Hahahaha yess classic 😂😂😂😂
I think season 6 will give us more clarity...
They said they’ll explain it in season 6 How Lucifer was brought back
Lucifer:- "Oh My Me"
Others:- "Oh My God"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is so crazy and emotional episode. I have no words right now... 😱😩🥺💞
Exactly!! No words and I’m impatient now!! To wait for S6 jeez 😱
I’m guilty of going back after this and watching old episodes after this crazy ride of a season and I realized something. At the end of the very first episode of the series, when Chloe is shot, she says “Am I going to die?” And Lucifer says “I won’t let you. Father will just have to wait for you.” It’s such a lovely booked to have him literally bring her back from heaven at the end of season 5.
I think they were planning on having more people at least at the battle but that was filmed right at the beginning of getting back with covid restrictions so they couldn’t
I can’t wait for season 6 to come out!
My god same here!!!
@@IndianCalypso correction! "Oh lucifer same here"
I'm guessing because of covid the producers couldn't have the big battle scene they and we all wanted. You'll notice in that scene everyone is "socially distant" standing 6 feet apart.
I'm VERY satisfied with the ending of the season! In fact I would have been happy if this episode was the series finale.
Season 4: main antagonist dromos kneels for lucifer.
Season 5:main antagonist michael kneels for lucifer.
Also lucifer sacrificed himself, he came back as god
Protagonist??😅
@@HU3NINGS idk the english word cor the bad guy lol
@@killjoy7346 antagonist is the word you want to use for them/villains
@@killjoy7346 “antagonist” lmao it’s fine I thought it was funny
my favorite part of this part of this reaction was that slow bus demon realization you had it was so cute watching it slowly sink in
Haha took me forever 😂
when chloe died i knew they can't kill 2 important characters in a single season that will just ruin the story .. so i managed not to cry in this episode .. but still got a bit emotional when luci finally said she loves chloe ..
"oh my me" oh my god? get it...
Hahaha yeaaah I did that was amazing💜
@@IndianCalypso yep, season 6 gonna be good with Lucifer as God
I loved that as the last line.
Fun fact, that line was improvised by Tom
Sooo intense & emotional 🥺
Yep♥️
As the lightbringer Lucifer is the bringer of clarity
Also another note...God said it was up to his children to chose..as he always spoke cryptically he meant that his powers would go to the angel that made the "right" choices...Lucifer in this entire show was trying not to prove his dad right so much as to do the right thing...throughout the show he showed honestly, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, justice, love and finally sacrifice....it was his final two choices that allowed him to be "Chosen" He verbally and sincerely admitted his love for Chloe and then sacrificed his own life for hers.
Maze: like when me and Dan pulverized that gang together... It was beautiful.
Amenadiel:O-O
When I first watched this episode, I was expecting the bus to burst into flames. Now I realize why it didn't -- demon-possessed _"crispy critters"_ wouldn't be very effective.
Another thing -- how did Maze get to hell to summon the demons (and back afterwards)?
Finally, that scene where Maze was remembering her and Dan confronting Los Exes -- little did she know what was transpiring between Lucifer and Chloe at that same time!
This was an absolutely amazing episode seriously tho this season was a Rollercoaster of emotions
Yep♥️♥️
I think you have come up with the perfect solution for the Dan issue - Maze does for him what Lucifer did for Lee/Mr. Said Out Bitch, and shows him to the way to face his guilt and finally forgive himself, as those who have been "wronged" by him (Lee/Dan) have long ago done because they recognize his genuine regret. After all, they've all been saying since the beginning that it's a redemption story.
My theory is that Lucifer become god because of love. I believe that light after he said "I love you" wasn't there because he was dying but it was that Lucifer was becoming god, like the moment god was getting his power's back from the toy Charlie had, he was also full of light. Also when Michael was yelling that he is god, he said that he was expecting some lightning.
He came back thanks to his sacrifice for love because he wasn't selfish at all and really learned from his past mistakes
Fun fact, the "oh my me" line was improvised by Tom himself
😱
Do you think Dan's Hell loop is endless Police Union meetings with Pierce? Actually, it might just be Pierce singing again. ;-)
Lol but then again maybe Pierce is in Dan's hell loop. Now I'm sad again.
I was thinking that it may be something with puddings lol
Haha he would get the VIP Package😂
They filmed the fight after the Covid rules came out. Notice the 6’ spacing between everyone - I think they originally meant the final battle to look different but I love the look they ended up with - even on the stairs as the angels bowed to Luci. Every angel - separate and chastened. And Luci triumphant under the arch of Heaven, Chloe at his side. Remember - they lopped off 6 pages of the final script and turned them into Season 6. That’s why it seems unfinished. It is.
I think it was a Complete act of Selflessness..Lucifer Was willing To END HIMSELF FOR HIS LOVE but Also For EVERYONE ELSES SAKE🙏❤️😇
when lucifer gave chloe the ring and told her he loved her was him sacrificing himself for her even thought he was burning but as he finally admitted it to himself and said it out loud you see him stop burning and theres a burst of white light and thats him becoming god but he didnt realise it till they all knelt in front of him after he forgave michael
Here we go again wait for the next season! The last time we'll have to wait, I'm sad! I guess season 6 will come early in 2022, cause they already said that it is edited and everything... maybe January? Or even this December, I hope! The most emotional season ever was the fifth! I cried multiple times and the funny thing is that we laugh a lot too (I mean, that hammer time scene, such lovely dorks!)
I cannot imagine the next season to be the last☹️
I think it's two things, 1-Self Sacrifice, he sacrificed himself for others; a selfless act. 2-Just like the guy who accepted his guilt and went through the door in his hell loop, so he got to heaven; Lucifer, in a way, did the same, and his door that he went through is entring heaven although he was sure he would die. For Dan, I think that Lucifer is god now, he literally can bring him back or sent him to heaven just by will.
Yeah after seeing so much character development in Dan i had a feeling they were building up our interest in him. I knew they would break our heart with him after that.
it was Kevin Alejandro´s idea to kill Dan because they thought that season 5 will be the last season and he thought it would be the right end to his character (of course he will overome his guilt and will be in heaven with Charlotte)
@@Scheherasad really?
Not cool 😩😩
I think the thing we saw at the moment he said "because i love you" it's the destruction of the devil face and that what is forbidden to Heaven, not the Angel, the Light bringer. That's why he didn't die.
it is because of his sacrifice that he became worthy of becoming the new god. He was willing to give his own life to save chloe without knowing he would come back. For lucifer he thought he would have dead and that would be it, al that for chloe. That is why he became god
Any contract regular actor on a series gets listed in the main credits, regardless of whether they're actually in the episode or not.
Did you recognize the song Michael was “playing” on the piano?
The song of Chloe and Lucifer
Oh yes, "Heart and Soul"
Knew it right away. Lucifer did say in an episode that there would be easter eggs and if dan (aka we the audience thoughout the seasons) caught them all.
@@abelcollado1711 what?
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 throughout the show there have been easter eggs/references to previous episodes. Lucifer asking Dan if he spotted them all is basically the writers asking us if we have been paying attention.
Did you catch the reference to The Good Place?
Oh no i didn’t what was it?? Something with Mr.Said Out??
@@IndianCalypso Yeah, he said “what the fork” at some point! I was having Good Place feelings before when Lucifer talked about Dan always trying to be better and do the right thing and the system being broken, and Mr. Said Out Bitch confirmed I was not crazy 😅
God is love!
Maze didn't go to hell, she did the ritual that Eve did in season 4 for demon possession of dead humans.
Eve didn't do any Ritual, she just killed Kinley (in self defense) and told him to tell the demons that Lucifer needed them.
Since I doubt they killed another human to 'send the message', I'm guessing Amenadiel flew Maze down to Hell.
Well, i liked very much yer reactions, and i'd like to say my thoughs about some of yer question like how Lucifer able to come back after he was obliterate in heaven. Well for much ppl God is same thing as Love, so when he declared his love to Chloe, i think the God's power activated for him. And 2nd about why u think the ginale was nowhere near yer expectations is because u get through an emotion roller-coaster in previous 2 episodes. So yea, these 2 episodes ( 14 and 15) rised our espectations about how it can be the finale. Well, it's nice to see that much ppl like this series. Thank you for yer reaction videos, i really enjoy them.
Fun fact season 6 is coming don't stop yet lol
Also Mr. Said out bitch is the best running joke and has the best pay off of any show I've ever seen try stuff like this
And finally it's cause self-actualization the angels self actualize so before he died Lucifer faced his own guilt and so being home didn't hurt him anymore
Why did I expect Chloe to die? I don’t know. Welp, Lucifer brought her back!. Loved the finale!
I think the ending is fulfilling the prophecy. Meet his first love (Admitting it for the first time) Evil was released. Therefore, he is now God.
Lucifer is god now
So many reasons facts that brought lucifer back. He is angle self modirates. Also god loves humans.
1. Lucifer couldn't kill single human....as single soul matters.
2. He said the three word. I love you
3. he felt worthy finally.
4. He was willing to sacrifice.
5. All of the angels he is the only one who ruled the kingdom even though its a hell. And his wings r white
.....so i think its all god's plan from the start as a test....also may be lucifer was the chosen one.
God loves angels n humans. Only amenidial n lucifer care about both.
I like Ella not knowing. The most religious one on the show has no idea she has been surrounded by the divine for years. Trixie finding out before Ms Lopez would be more in line with the show. A longer episode would have been better. Being the ruler of heaven does not make him God. What made you start this channel with Lucifer? I'd like to see the eventual ending showing us what happens into the future of the characters. I enjoyed it, and your reactions.
I really enjoy watching you work it all out & you’re never far off with the story line 👌 the only thing I don’t like, there’s too many changes, don’t want it to end..And right about why Lucifer could come back, for love but it’s the first time maybe in his dad’s eyes, he was completely selfless. And now he’s got the big guy’s job 😂👌 😈❣️
Oh my Lucifer....again wait...😩😩😩😅😅😅 cant wait ti see him as God...❤
My reaction was so very, very similar! Be well & I also hope for a season 6!!
They wanted to have much more demons on earth who fight the angels but because of corona restrictions they could only have the "prisoners" (according to an interview with Joe Henderson)+the demon who is beheaded is Joe Henderson (showrunner), he had even to shave his beard because it was less expensive to do the scene without beard.(again according to the interview with Joe)
+the ending (Lucifer as god) was already hinted at in season 1 episode 10 "Pops"
This show is based on a comic not the Bible but there are many quotes in the Bible whch say that love is the most important thing n life. e.g. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."(this is probably the reaseon why Zadkiel accepted love as a very good reason to become god) +"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."
Because of his selfless act of love Lucifer was able to come back
I think this was the perfect ending to an incredible season. I am still in shock that Lucifer became the new God, and I can't WAIT to see what happens in season 6 now! As always a Lucifer finale leaves me desperate to know what will happen next, and I love this show for that. I DO hope their season 6 finale, the last show in the show, will be less open ended though, and give us a satisfying ending to this story.
i thik that luci was able to return becouse he accepted everything about himself the good and the bad and when luci said to chloe that he loves her then and only then luci became god becouse he was more human than anyone and if what i thought is right we humans are almost perfect by being perfectly imperfect and so luci was able to became god by doing something selfless for someone even if he was going to die and adding the fact of how luci become human like by learning to forgive and to do something whitout expecting something in return or this is what i thought
7:03 LOLOLOLOL
When his father being a god . , lucifer -" oh my god (dad)
Now at last he be like. ""Ohh 'my me.... 😂😂
I a two movies i saw ( Constantine and another that i don't remember), if you are supposed to go to hell, a character goes to heaven because he sacrificed himself for another one.
Lucifer sacrificed himself for chloe in heaven. I think that's why. But i like your theory a lot
This episode was supposed to be longer, but because of season 6 they cut act VI.
Oh my Lucifer
I always thought how would decker-star work as chloe is mortal but lucifer is immortal but now its clear. She got lilith's ring now she is also immortal
No, Joe Henderson said the ring is now just a pretty keepsake. At this point Chloe remains mortal, but the usual non-spoiler hints that will change (but how?)
On another note, Tom Ellis has said that a big part of Lucifer’s emotional growth in realizing what love is and his worthiness of it, was experiencing the many close friend/family relationships. And In season 6 he will have totally new ones (as to be expected, right?). Joe gave no info, but answered yes to a question regarding any significance to Chloe being stabbed in the abdomen with the branch of the Tree of Life. Can we speculate that all those Deckerstar fans hoping for a baby might get their wish through some Divine loophole since Lucifer remains Celestial and Chloe mortal for now?
I love the series, but I have to admit, I'm not overly thrilled with this episode. I feel like they tried to do too many things and muddled it; and it coming on the heels of Dan's death in the previous episode, it kind of muted some of the things they tried to do - like trying to make us think Chloe would actually stay dead, or "killing" Lucifer for all of a minute. And some of the jokes fell flat for me; like them trying to stall before the fight just killed the tension and seemed unnecessary.
I was also wondering the whole time they were making their plans for the fight, why they wouldn't have given Chloe Lilith's immortality ring. That seemed so obvious, until it became clear they were overlooking that in order for Lucifer to use it to survive going to heaven.
I think it might have been more effective if it had been Chloe who died in the penultimate episodes, because it would have incentivized Lucifer even more to become God in order to see her again, but then at the end of that episode he just says, screw it, and goes to heaven to get her back and seemingly dies at the end of that second to last episode. Then the finale is "Team Lucifer" sans Lucifer, trying to stop Michael from ascending the throne and Lucifer could have shown up to stop the battle.
I enjoyed the season finale. I loved your reaction as well. The final season is just doing post production including CGI. The show runners indicated this week the wait will not be as long for season 6 as it was for s5b.
Mazikeen speaking Afrikaans again 🖤🇿🇦👍🏻 #proudlysouthafrican
♥️
The Devil can't enter heaven but an archangel can. His sacrifice for chloe for love destroyed the last bit of the devil in him. X
You should react to the pilot table read! Btw I love your reactions to Lucifer! I cried my eyes out when Dan died too. But hopefully they can bring him to heaven, to Charlotte.
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
well she didnt bring the criminals in the demons did their whole possess a recently dead body thing it showed them dying to shpw their ios a bunch of dead bodies near by to hint at this
Michael freaking killed Chloe omg he litteraly killed her!!! I hate him more than I hate Caim.
Great finale right?
It's shorter because it was supposed to be the final fiiiinal, so they changed somethings. I'm glad we have season 6 coming because I need a closure too!
I think when they put Dan's name it's bcs he was a regular to the series so taking his name out for one ep is too much work ig 😂. That or he's also a producer or smth like that
First episode is gonma be about Dan.
Kevin is directing it and also he id in Credit as actor.
What if in the end Lucifers devil self burned out of him. What if being the devil is his second identity and he lost it, because he was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save Chloe, and now he became pure angel if that makes sense.
You said the war aat the end was a bit short. Yes it was remade to fit season 6, and it was filmed during the starting of the pandemic/lockdowns and it had to be shortened/reduced (notice the angels and demons are standing pretty far from each other).
Oh its a really good theory, sounds great. Well we'll see
That’s a really good thought 👏🏻
I wasn't disappointed about this last episode of season 5 i thought it was still a great last episode that's just my honest opinion but thanks for sharing your honest opinion on this last episode i would give it a 9 out of 10 because only one thing i wish they have let lopez know there secret hopefully on next last season on season 6 of lucifer lopez finally knows that they reveal there secret that's all i want it to say about that and i heard that dan is coming back in season 6 because the actor kevin did confirmed that dan might be returning on the last season.
Please watch Person of Interest next!!! It's an amazing show! Love your reactions soo much ❤️
About Ella talking with God in this episode I find it interesting, that she actually for the first time talked to no one. God is in another universe with Goddes, so no one listened to Ella.
I'm curious, what's your Lucifer seasons ranking? I'll start:
#1 is Season 4
#2 is Season 5
#3 is Season 1
#4 is Season 2
#5 is Season 3

My ranking is the same, well done.
SAME ORDER 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Because of Mr.SaidOutBitch, "Hell no longer requires a warden" God said
Why are you so emotional 😆😆😆
*Oh my me* 😉😁
Love to Chloe and other humans, selfless self-sacrifice... Heck, Lucifer is essentially a messiah here.
Oh my me 😂
God ended up deciding who would succeed him. He never told them they would choose... he said “you’ll figure it out”
There will be a teaser for 6 on Wednesday... check out NetflixGeeked
I feel like the angel war would have been better if they CGI in a bunch of other Angels just like hundreds of other angels in the background somewhere and if Lucifer actually had say a few votes on his side versus just a couple I understand that budget was an issue and that covid was an issue which is the reason I suggest cgiing
This series love to make us suffer
Did you know that in 5x15 on the set in the end was Tom's Ellis daughter? 🥰
Omg no that’s crazy!
@@IndianCalypso yea, at Dan's funeral, her name is Nora 🥺😳

I have 1 weird opinion, michael not wanted to kill lucifer, he looks like helding back and felt worried when lucifer wanted to fly to heaven that lucifer would burn up
Yeah you could see that still didn’t stop him😤
@@IndianCalypso because lucifer his love for cloe was bigger than fear of death.

Well he did killed remiel, but lucy killed angel to season 2 so they just more even😅
I wonder actually bow luci is god, can he bring death angels back. I kinda hope so
