I have a brother who paints to such high standards that the cars look like they’re coated in glass. Perfection has its own esthetic merits whether it’s one color or twenty laid down.
I must say l favoured the Dart Swinger . For me the Willys panelwork wasn't arrow straight and the Frog eye was ! But l'm not there and l'm not a judge . One of my restorations won best Jaguar at a recent show 31 years after winning outright at the classic car show at the NEC. .....I was pretty chuffed ! Thankyou Chip . I always hold you with the deepest of respect !
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth caught my attention as a kid, then George Barris, then Boyd Coddington. In early 90s I started hearing thru GoodGuys about some kid from Boyds who later won the Ridler award with a 35 Chevy, followed the next year with a 34 Ford. I can't help but think years from now when someone talks about legends like Chip Foose and Dave Kindig. Best of the best, both are GOAT status.
So happy to see this award go to Eddie's! They are so humble and hard working!! So wonderful to see Mr. Foose and Eddie sharing the screen in front of a very worthy car!
Glasurit paint is one of the best, had my car done in it, but the painter did not know what he was doing when this product first came out, had to go to the lawyers, and all I can say is I lost in this ordeal. Foose if you want another car to do you can take mine lol, I can't afford to get it repainted now, but paint has been on it for 25 years or more. Always imagined what it would look like if you had it to redo, it's a 1970 Trans Am. Love the car meets, some awesome work.

The article stated they did the painting & prep for some of the Italian cars before they were exhibited at the International Auto Show in New York. Their price per hour back then was $100.00 per hour. Quality has no price when you strive for perfection. I am sure no one from that shop is around anymore.
Hey Chip I got a question. If you had to make something with a Polaris slingshot what would you do. I bought one as soon as they came north to Canada. but since then I’ve thought how you would Fooseify it. I seen they can put in v8’s into them I’ve see they can buy a 2 wheel rear end [guys in Florida] so there’s a lot of possibilities. My self I’ve always liked the job the old man did on that 59 impala ( they matched it on a motorcycle ) not sure if you were still there or left by then but if a guy put a 2 wheel and some how incorporated 59 impala I can only think about it I can’t visualize the complete. I’ve always been your fan I picked out your good in the vehicles that were in that show. And approved every overhauling too. But living way up here the only way was in 2008 I bought a numbered Ford pickup with your name on it. Is there any way you might be able to draw your minds ideas on one of those drawing you post to RUclips last one I seen was the maverick. PS I personally think RR of monkey garage did the utter most stupid thing to one, I mean they(Polaris) have been doing off road just fine on their own and the slingshot is an on road ball of fun and need to stay on the road.

I have judged model car contests where there was, at best 5-6 models that were in the running for Best Paint. I could only imagine the leg work and hand wringing you'd have to do while judging for a full sized car show' s Best Paint award.
All I know is his dad is racist I know it for a fact I sat next to him for 3 days try to shake his hand everyday and he just looked away he would not do it sad
