I don't think he realized it, but the level creation done here is IDENTICAL to those 2D platforming sections from the movie. Especially that level 1 stage, it's the exact platforming obstacle they go through in the first scene in Brooklyn in the movie. Seriously well-done to this world's creator.

I got like 3 game overs, I had to unmap the down button to not accidentally ground pound, I swear I'm gonna give it to my friend and he's gonna do it like 5th try 😅😅

This is insanely awesome! This is clearly a labor of love for the movie, and so meticulously put together. Huge props to InfiniteBit for creating this, and for you covering it man!
He followed the movie spot on, he did a great job. I saw the movie last month with my Mario shirt on, it was fantastic. I liked the interaction Donkey Kong had with Mario after the battle they had. The battle was cool too, pretty funny.
I love that InfiniteBits used a Boom Boom in place of DK for lack of the actual character. I couldn't have picked a better substitute myself. Also watching these levels put a big smile on my face. I still have yet to see the movie but I am looking forward to it even more now.
My two favorite scenes in the movie were 1. where, on their walk to the jungle, the LITERALLY WALK THROUGH TOSTARENA!!! And then 2. seeing them LARPing Mariokart. There was so much attention to detail in that scene, right down to them racing on one of the most famous--and infamous--tracks in the series: Rainbow Road.
I loved how the princess wasn't a damsel in distress as well!! When Mario came in the toads kept saying she was in another castle had me cracking up. And the movie answered where dry bones came from for me too. The movie was sooo much better than expected❤
Btw i stayed at the end of the credits and there’s actually a scene that shows a yoshi egg in Brooklyn at the end. We can hear the cracking and then yoshi so i think we might have a second movie
My favorite part of the Mario movie was the ending, right before the brothers touched the thingything and became awesomer. I won't spoil it (even though if you're reading the comments of a Mario movie video then you were asking for it) but if you know, you know. Wholesome as hell and such a powerful moment. This is an amazing super world and I cannot wait to play it.

This is extremely well-done and true to the movie. Only thing I'd fix is the style of the Mario VS. DK part. It should've been made in the 3D World style, you know, with the cat suit and all.
My theory on why there hasn’t been a new Mario game yet is maybe it’ll be announced with the new console? Kinda like with the switch, i can’t remember when Mario Odyssey was announced but I know they came out around the same time
The final battle against Bowser when they got the star really reminded me of superstar saga or Bowser's inside story when they do the combo moves. Very satisfying.
I've said this before, I'll say it again, someone needs to write a "first contact" fanfiction, that describes an idealistic yet realistic take on how a fairly mundane(non-magical) earth reacts to diplomacy with the mushroom kingdom. I know that the super mushroom would come in mighty handy for more than just combat, imagine foreman Spike twice his ordinary size carrying a steel girder under each arm. Seriously though, all of Brooklyn saw a magically charged Mario and Luigi kicking Bowsers butt, the USA would more than likely hear of it, and it's too big to cover up, diplomacy with peach would be the best possible outcome for the aftermath of the movie.
Honestly, there were a lot of cool parts in the Mario movie, with some of my favorites being the Rainbow Road scene, and the ending Super Star scene, which was really cool! The only thing about the movie that bothered me was that it was kind of “fast-paced”, but otherwise it was great!

tbh this has to be my favorite movie so far, i'm not really a movie person but all my friends went to go watch it together so i couldn't say no to some cinema (and burger king afterwards) good movie, good video game, good video, good everything :) edit: my favorite part has to be when mario gets the cat ability and just beats up DK. it is such a fun scene
It was great to see these levels like a big breath of fresh air. Too many levels keep reusing the same ideas over and over. But with some different inspiration, in this case, the movie, these levels were nicely different than most.
I'd love it if the second movie released very soon. I must say, I liked the beginning a bit more than the end, because Mario just learning about the Mushroom Kingdom and seeing how the games are implemented in a logical connected world is just sooooo gooood. And don't even get me started on the visual and musical references to all kinds of Mario games, but also other Nintendo games, because that just made the movie a 20 out of 10. (And I love that Peach is professional and not Mario) PS: I'd really love a recreation of the movie in the SMBX2 level and world editor, because there you could make every single little detail, from custom textures to custom music and custom NPCs

I too am so glad Peach is graduating from the damsel role and Nintendo is finally letting her be portrayed as a badass in her own right, took long enough. She's one of my favorite video game characters of all time and now that she's also finally about to get her own SMB game i am totally psyched! its been a long time coming.
My favorite part of the movie was when Mario, Peach and Toad are making their racing karts. And how it's a nice little nod to how people customize them in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And then they race down Rainbow Road. ❤
They should make a Mario Movie sequel where someone sneaks into the castle and frees Bowser, Luigi gets more screen time, and we learn about Princess Peach's backstory
Remember when we used to Movie games like this with every blockbuster movie. Those were the days. I think the last really good one was Wolverine Origins. Thank you for bringing up The Wizard!! That was my favorite movie growing up and I watch it with my kids now haha

Yeah, I think the only bad thing about the movie is that Mario doesn't rescue Peach from anything. They definitely should have included that, since it's such a fundamental part of most of the games.
also i have a few favourite aspects of the movie, i like the reminder that mario and luigi are twins so their connection as brothers in the movie was very how twins act and i love that. I also really loved seth rogen as donkey kong and gotta give chris pratt his credit he wasn't just chris pratt like people thought.
I liked the movie, but not the fact that they completely sidelined Luigi and made him the damsel in distress. The film was "Super Mario Bros" as in "Mario Mario" AND "Luigi Mario". (Not saying they need to have Peach locked up through the whole thing, but give Luigi something to do besides sitting in a cage.)
I COMPLETELY agree. I felt the exact same way when I was watching the movie. Luigi is my favorite character and was pumped to see him (and Mario) on the big screen, but was very disappointed as to how he was portrayed through most of the movie. At least he got his glory towards the end fight. Nonetheless, though, it was still an enjoyable movie to watch.

I took my kids to see the movie today, and we had fun, though we needed a bathroom break by the end of the movie, so we missed most of the climactic battle. We got to see Mario & Luigi get the superstar.
As of posting this comment I’ve seen the movie only yesterday and man it was AMAZING! And to see a reimagining of the film in Mario Maker makes it seem like Nintendo made a game of the movie itself. But alas, fans have taken the challenge and have reimagined The Super Mario Bros Movie in actual Mario games. I can’t wait for the DVD, can’t you?
How often has Princess Peach been the damsel in distress? Super Mario Bros.? Playable and right there with Mario on SMB2, 3D World, RPG, kart, soccer, golf, party, brawls… she’s been pretty capable in the franchise. I’m no expert so I’m curious in what other games she was captured. Also, favorite part of the movie was Bowser’s motivation. He was all brutally evil but was in love and wanted to marry peach. All his minions were like…riiiiiight. Was done so well. Rage of jealousy.

Not sure if anyone else agrees, but besides the ending, the rainbow road scene has to be my favorite. It’s so intense and the animation is fantastic.

I absolutely loved the whole movie! I think the scene with the star at the end was my favorite.

I took my kids to see the movie today, and we had fun, though we needed a bathroom break by the end of the movie, so we missed most of the climactic battle. We got to see Mario & Luigi get the superstar.

My favorite part of the movie is when Luigi saved Mario from bowser's fire and then both of them picking up the super star. :D
As of posting this comment I’ve seen the movie only yesterday and man it was AMAZING! And to see a reimagining of the film in Mario Maker makes it seem like Nintendo made a game of the movie itself. But alas, fans have taken the challenge and have reimagined The Super Mario Bros Movie in actual Mario games. I can’t wait for the DVD, can’t you?

How often has Princess Peach been the damsel in distress? Super Mario Bros.? Playable and right there with Mario on SMB2, 3D World, RPG, kart, soccer, golf, party, brawls… she’s been pretty capable in the franchise. I’m no expert so I’m curious in what other games she was captured.
Also, favorite part of the movie was Bowser’s motivation. He was all brutally evil but was in love and wanted to marry peach. All his minions were like…riiiiiight. Was done so well. Rage of jealousy.

I must play this super world with my kid. He loved the movie and he loves making levels in Mario Maker 2, so I guess this will be a great way to re-watch the movie. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❣️
