It was a chilly afternoon and I was starting to lose feeling in my fingers. We had traffic on either side of the place that we recorded at making it difficult to hear my self or to know if I was playing with the click track that allowed me to play along with the backing track. The wind was blowing hard and we had duck tape keeping the lyric sheets on the music stand. That being said, God was gracious to us, and allowed the process to work out quite well. The team I worked with did an awesome job and I am so grateful for their help.
I recorded a series of four different songs in about thirty minutes and am now in the process of editing the two camera angles as well as the audio for the videos. These were created for the good of the church I currently serve at as well as a couple different churches and ministries that I am partnering with. Expect at least one or two more songs from the same venue this song was recorded at.

Much love, and I hope that these videos serve to stir affection in your heart for King Jesus. Why? In a nutshell, God's holiness demands payment for us jacked up sinners. That's right, jacked up. Sin is against God since God created the world and the standard for us to live by. But instead of giving us what we deserve, paying for our sins in eternity, we find our sin's paid in full by Jesus the Christ. Jesus took the full blow of God's wrath that was directed toward us on the cross.

I have had this cover on my playlist for a while now but today God really spoke to me through it. Lately been feeling unworthy and a little distant from God so this morning I prayed for God to remind me of His love through Jesus Christ - God answered my prayer when this song came up on my playlist on train and I started crying just of how loving God is.. thank you Jesus Christ for your finished works on the cross that through your death and resurrection and your shed Holy Blood I can be saved.

Hey's basically using a "drop D" tuning w/2 capos. In other words, he's capo'ing up the neck with the underneath (gold) capo to the key he's singing in, and leaving the lower/big E string "dropped" with the upper (black) capo. I've played around with it; sounds real good & full when you strum all the strings.
