This option is only avaiable on some model like krups ea8250 in other machines only stucks and it can damage machine. The griding time is automatic or regulated with cake tool and adjusting in main service menu with this tool. If you change grinding time to diferent you can cause leak of water from chamber too
On Krups EA8250, my grinder spins for about 18 seconds. I tried to go onto the menu, and get a checker board which appears to be all lit up, by pressing any of the buttons it will allow you to select a number. I have tried to do this and then unplug the machine. It still grinds for 18 seconds. Going back into the menu it again has the checker pattern lit up. I am wondering if there is something else I need to do in order to set the grind time? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Dear Marius! I changed the grinding time, and since then after almost every cycle (rinsing too) performs an empty cycle and indicates a full cookie container.Would help me?
Hello, hopefully you will see this... I have an EA880E and I see no option to increase grinding time. After getting into the service menu, I click on Sub Functions, Grinding but there it only shows one button marked as 8s. Pressing it activates the grinder unit. Ideas?
Please forgive me, Mariusz. I have a number of questions relating to setting and checking the grinding time(GT). I ask because you seem to be the expert on all matters regarding Krups automatic machines. I have an EA8108 (pictograph interface model) and I'm trying to use the procedure described in document "EA8050 Temp Mm", page 9 with no success. All of the LEDs light up when I enter the GT mode, and as I rotate the selector counter-clockwise they all go out at once. The machine does not then respond to input and I must reboot. Is there a different procedure to follow for the 8108? Viewing line 22 of the AS-1 product support mode, the current GT setting is displayed as "-14". What does that mean? Is that 20 base ten, (0x14)? Could you explain the grinding time settings a little more fully for the benefit of us novices? My understanding from your videos and posts and from the document above is that the GT setting applies to "strong coffee" and ranges from six to 10 seconds. Does that mean, if I chose six for example, the GT would be six seconds in total, or six additional seconds on top of some base time value? The documentation seems to suggest that the machine will grind for some base line value (five seconds, maybe?) when making regular "weak coffee" and the GT setting gets added to the base value in the "strong" case. But, you can tell from all the questions, I'm not certain of this. Also, won't the "strong coffee" cakes be thicker than the regular cakes? Which cakes should I be measuring for calibration purposes? My machine usually grinds for about five seconds regardless of the "strong/regular" selection. It produces a disk that is a little too thin, ~10mm. It sometimes grinds for as little as 2-3 secs. This is why I originally began investigating the GT setting. Do have any other thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this?
Hi Marius. I have managed to repair my coffee maker thanks to your other video, but now the coffee is very weak. Is there any way to adjust the grind time on the EA-81? Thank you very much for your videos.
Hi, this video is about adjusting grinding time, but there are two additional factors that can improve coffee strength. You can try with change grinding powder, but the biggest influence has piston. Inside of the piston there is one rubber that U can't buy separately. This rubber has a small puncture that the coffee is pressed through. Over time this small hole is a bit bigger and the pressure is decreased. So the coffee strength is weaker. I strongly recommend to change the piston and you will surprised with positive effect.
@@MariuszGrden Ok, I have already changed the heater rubber (it is where the water leaked) and two that are where the coffee is pressed. I bought a complete spare part of rubber and I have more rubber left over, but I don't know which rubber exactly do you mean. Maybe whith the referece... Thanks again for your help, I took my coffee maker to the official technical service and they told me that they could not repair the leak. And thanks to your video I repaired it myself. and sorry for my English

Hello. It’s will be work on ea82 series? 0-5 position- it’s a time for grinder? If I choose 5- how many times it is? My krups grinder 15 seconds- it is soo much ((
Just a word of warning: This just bricked our EA82... instead of the grinder setup menu five numbered squares appeared on the display and since then the machine insists on "cleaning the coffe cleaning tray" despite not being equipped with one. (Solved: Remove everything and power on while holding down the "hot water" button (the rightmost one)).
Thank you for this tip! You saved my day with that. My machine did strange things, I tried everything possible for three days and disassembled every component. With this trick you can apparently reset the electronics.
