Mit meinen etwas über 50 Jahren muss ich gestehen, dass ich am Ende des Gigs Pippi in den Augen hatte. Der Hammer!! Ich freu mich nochmal auf Wien. Ja! Nein! Rammstein!🤘
I saw them in the UK during this tour and I was left with this: I think for me, rammstein are the only band who can open their set with an album track, extend the intro and make it epic. I've seen them 3 times and they've done it each time, they really are masters of their art 😎
I was at this concert last year and my god... What a sick intro. I had only just heard a few songs off Deustchland and then they come in with this little sequence and then when Ollie just pops in with the bass. This followed by Links 234 was an amazing opener. Really hope the Montreal Aug. 22nd concert happens.
An quick, interesting read about the unveiling of Rammstein in my life: I've been a Rammstein fan for awhile (probably from the first Fast and Furious with Freuer Frei). I was around 12 at the time and continued to explore Rammstein over the years albeit it may have only been 1-2 songs a year. However, my list was pretty exclusive: Du Hast, Freuer Frei, Links 2 3 4, Keine Lust, Ich Will, Amerika, and Reise Reise (power songs). I'm from Canada and moved to Japan for three years and some of the darkest moments of my life ensued there including getting jumped by Iranian mobsters in a nightclub for being a commercial model (or so they say). It was around this time I expanded my horizons at the age of 25 into more albums and an in depth search for some of the darkest music I could find as therapy. I began listening to Mein Herz Brennt, Ich Tu DIr Weh, Benzin, Rosenrot, Moskau, Mein Teil, and Mutter. I stuck to my cumulative list pretty addictively. I remember bringing my Japanese GF at the time to tears one night when I drank and chain smoked cigarettes for about 5 hours straight just mulling through my Rammstein playlist. I asked why she had started crying and she simply just said "It's depressing." Fast forward a few years to about 2016 when I return to Canada and following the culture shock, circadian reset, and some rest I was in extremely bad shape from a multitude of both outside and self-destructive injuries I had inflicted upon myself; I hadn't seen many sober days in Japan. I went through hours of massage and physiotherapy with some success but very limited at times. I started doing cocaine with friends and eventually it became a weekly habit. From 2016 to 2019 I added an entire new dimension of Rammstein to my life: Ohne Dich, Stripped, Spring, Engel, and Du Riest So Gut always rang within my head. In the summer of 2019 I took a new risk after years of battling substance abuse and got an opportunity to teach English in the Czech Republic. Taking yet another swing in the dark I searched for Rammstein concerts that I could attend at some point within the three week trip and found one in Prague during one of my teaching days. I spoke to the headmaster early to schedule both my breaks on July 17th. Upon arrival we mapped out the details: A drive from Valtice to Brno to take a 3 hour train to Prague and aimed for a return train at 12 AM. Tuesday the 16th I found the Deustchland album albeit I only listened to Deustchland; then the day came. I arrived in Prague, got dinner at a restaurant outside the main station, and took an Uber to Eden Arena. There I muddled through the crowds and started into my first beer. I was a bit anxious as the entire crowd seemed to be speaking Czech, German, or other Slavik based languages and then I found a group of three lads speaking English. I asked if I could tag along as I was with nobody and they told me they were actually missing one important member of their crew. Henceforth I would be that man at least for that night. In true German fashion the band opened at exactly 7:45 to this song. I didn't realize how amazing it was till about halfway through and was taken aback as the smoke pillars began to rise. This followed by a high energy Links 2 3 4, an amazing Deustchland based setlist, and a flurry of moshing had made for an amazing night with new friends. Another 30 minutes of walking, a pub beer with the boys, an Uber, 3 hour train ride, and 45 minute car ride back to my dormitory I finally passed out at 3:45 to get up the next day at 7:30. Following the rest of my Eurotrip I returned back to Canada and for multiple reasons fell into the deepest depression I have ever been in with much of it stemming from being unable to see a girl I had fallen in love with at the school. I consistently had visions of simulatenously tiling my head back, gritting my teeth, and pulling a pistol to my temple, stabbing myself with a large chef knife, and jumping from the balcony of my friend's condo. This was prior to COVID and I quickly added more to the mix to soothe my soul: Wo bist du?, Feuer und Wasser, Was Ich Liebe, Puppe, and Deustchland. A quick jump into the COVID lockdown in Canada and the next addition was Spieluhr. At present Heirate Mich has also become a favourite. I now wait with baited breath for the concert announcement regarding their rescheduled performance in Montreal on August 22nd. If this short biography ever helps anyone struggling or reaches Rammstein then my duty is done and I am forever grateful for the connections I have been given.

Several years ago I toured the Czech Republic with some Czech friends I had met in Canada. One day we met some guys from a German soccer team who were in a small town called Pisek for a tournament. After the game we had some drinks in a local bar and they seemed like a nice group. They spoke pretty good English. We then went to a local dance and there were a lot of nice girls there, but none of them would dance with the German team members. I assumed it was just a rivalry thing but one of my Czech friends said no, it was because the Czech girls had learned history in school. I guess some things take time to settle.

The moment Ollie comes out with the bass is the key of this song
agree
And now I've realized somebody holds tissues (Tempo) up around 2:20 ... 🤣
Guitar for me , the second one.
No it's Richard with his guitar! The guitar is 100% responsible for why this song is good
I remember staying there and when the bass started playing I was in fucking metal heaven. Also I was very close so that feeling was just great.
2:17 - Guy who's trying to film the concert with a packet of tissues.
Because of try to film the concert by cell phone is awkward!

Too much acid maybe
He has to be stoned. That is the only explanation
Maybe it's a phone cover.
