I just went to the factory in Ireland. If you all saw what went into the process of making these guitars, you would be astounded. There is a new factory tour vid on the Emerald guitars channel. As well, I got the Virtuo to use live, plugged in, worth the investment. If you’re an acoustic player, the X20 - X30 lines may be what you are looking for. They are almost impervious to harsh climates that are too moist or too dry. Love these!!
First, that was a killer song. Second...after looking at the price tag, I'm still impressed. Way out of any range I could ever dream of affording, but might be the most versatile guitar you can find in that price range.
".. just might be the one!" Are you kidding me??? This guitar brought out the best in you. I say this because after watching hundreds of your uploads, I have never watched you play the way you have played here. Truly impressive!
I’ve been watching this channel for a while as I’m a budget builder, and modder. So I obviously love your videos. I have to say this is one of my favorite jams. Very 80’s power ballady. Love it. The guitar sounds really good too. Beautiful tone. I bet it’s expensive though. 😂
INCREDIBLE GUITAR! Your song just makes my heart happy, and my brain learned something new today: Plek'd. Such over-the-top attention to every detail is amazing. THEN you show us how to imagine our dream build in visual reality... it's just almost too overwhelming, but in the most wonderful of ways! I'm half Irish and have always dreamed of visiting Ireland. 🇮🇪 Touring The Emerald Facility Factory might even knock Castles from the top of my list. Thanks for this awesome review Richard. They should let you keep it in exchange for recording a product demo album. 🎶👑🎶☘️🎶👑🎶☘️🎶👑🎶☘️🎶
It’s such a visual mind twist hearing sick distortion coming from that guitar! I love it! I wish they would have had that when I bought my x20 from them. Got my mug and they send a flash drive with professional photos of your guitar! I received a hard shell case And a wicked heavy padded soft case too.
@@thebaldshredderyessir. Off the charts. I’ve had mine for about 5 years. I’ve never seen anything else come close. The adjustable saddles are a huge improvement I wish I had.
Beautiful instrument. It’s damn near pitch perfect. All the notes sound super fluid. It helps when you have a nice wide vibrato like BS does. Excellent jam
Wow dude what a unique guitar, it does a little of everything and sounds amazing, the price it out of my budget but would love to have one, maybe when I win the Lottery thanks for the review you are the best:)
I bought every guitar that got your stamp of approval, but I still can't play like you. I even shaved my head! Yeah, THIS guitar is next. I just know it. I'm going to be the Bald Shred Machine. Lol Cool jam, very tasty. Nice guitar.
Ive got an older model X20, and the frets lifted. Emerald “couldn’t fix it”, had a luthier friend fix it. That has single-handedly stopped me buying a Virtuo
Considering how "firm" carbon fiber is, you wouldn't think it would resonant very well but that guitar absolutely sounds great. And I think I'd need a Ph.D. to work the control layout. lol But this is definitely the only guitar you would ever need. Awesome guitar. Just wish it was a bit more affordable.
I have five Emerald Guitars: two X20, two X5 and an Amicus. I am not sure if I want an X10 slimline or a Virtuo. Tough choice, but I know I can’t make a mistake either way.
I own this guitar (Virtuo) and am not quite getting the sounds I am wanting to. What brand and guage strings are you using? I gave up trying to get an acoustic sound out of mine and ended up putting Chrome strings on it and treating it like a "jazz box" guitar. After all, it has two humbuckers, and is hollow... so I went the "big hollow body jazz guitar" route with it. I want to get YOUR sounds from mine.
An incredible guitar, but Parker had invented, refined and was mass-producing the carbon-fiber Fly over 30 years ago. You love thin guitar necks with 24 fret fingerboards and stainless-steel frets...well, you will love the Fly AND it weighs 4 and 1/2 pounds! Unfortunately at over $2,000.00 thirty years ago - amd probably cost even more in reality - they were too costly to mass-produce. Still, they are the greatest feat of guitar art and engineering to this day. The Parker made those sounds 30 years ago, except the piezo isn't as warm since they weren't holow-body.
Great jam! But the price of these guitars is absolutely ridiculous and I'm not afraid to say there's no way they're worth it unless you're using it to make money or you're just a really wealthy guitar collector. Definitely not budget friendly! 😮
Why couldn't the big manufacturer's come up with something this nice sounding? That Fender Acousticaster or whatever sounded awlful and were a flop as most people could see coming from their interoduction.
And they make most American manufacturers look like rookies with the quality of their instruments. I would actually pay that for one of these because you’re paying for the quality not the name. I’m looking at you, Gibson and Fender.
Sick new jam! I have an X20 and love it. Emerald's build quality with carbon fiber weave is light years beyond other manufacturers.
I've had my virtuo for 2 and a half years now. By far the best hybrid electric/acoustic out there.

Pricey, but also an exceptional instrument. Thanks!
Emerald makes fantastic guitars!! Great review Richard! That guitar is definitely very versatile!

Omg Richard ! Another AMAZING SONG ! Great pick to play it on !

Ive been drooling over these for awhile
It's definitely drool worthy
I've seen these guitars before but this was definitely the best demo - your original song really sold it
Thanks
Outstanding review Richard and the opening song you wrote for this guitar was absolutely. beautiful..
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review Richard! That is an outstanding instrument. Keep on shredding!
It was a fantastic song. That guitar is great. Wish I had the money.
Wow Richard these are some awesome guitars right here I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤️🔥⚡️🎶🎸
Great piece of music! Hard to believe you got all those tones from one guitar. Very intriguing guitar. 🤔🔥

I have this guitar and love it! Cool tune BTW.
Gorgeous guitar, and the new jam is great.
A friend had 1 built last year.
Loves it.
Thats his main guitar when giging.
That guitar can do it all!
Killer demo track Richard! 🤘😊
Yep. Thanks!
That was amazing I got to get one of them
Yes you do!
They should totally hook you up with the guitar, man. That was a great demo. I didn’t realize it’s acoustic centric. Very very clever.
It's amazing.
Love the new song!

Love the jam, the guitar is really a beauty with the brown color
Amazing jam. My wife loved it.
@richardbrainard7008 thanks!
Top quality shred machine, hopefully one day I'll manage to get one. cheers 🍻
That is really nice! Send it my way! Thanks Shredder 🤘
Awesome song Richard!!! 🤟😎
Shredder dude, you can play fuggin awesome. I hope I can achieve it someday.
Thanks
I'm going to get the one you have and the 12-6 one that they have...I have Electric 6-12 but not an acoustic and its SLIM!! NICE!!
Very unique and great sounding.
Some bad ass jams per usual. I'd love to meet 'cha 🤠🎸
I bought every guitar that got your stamp of approval, but I still can't play like you.
I even shaved my head!
Yeah, THIS guitar is next. I just know it. I'm going to be the Bald Shred Machine.
Lol
Cool jam, very tasty. Nice guitar.
Beautiful guitar, it is just about $3,500 above my price range.
Dude that's sick. That guitar sounds great.
It does!
This is cool, great tunes
Killer Song, and kick ass guitar.
Very nice well built guitar, out of my price range entirely but good craftsmanship and cool to see and hear

Cool song. Very detailed demonstration. Very innovative guitar but a very prohibitive price point.
$4000 plus...it better play itself while I watch. Nice guitar but $4000? Wow. But your riffs are stellar as usual.
@scarmyguitar it's gonna take a chunk out of your wallet, that's for sure
That's a lot of versatility in one guitar.
One guitar fits all.
Hello there Shredder, what plugin are you using for the dual leads? Sounds so great.
Line 6 POD Farm
@@thebaldshredder awesome thank you for the reply and info, keep up the great work.
I want to try that guitar it looks and sounds great I need to no how it feels witch is the most important part

Could this replace a collection of high end wood electric guitars?
That was a beautiful song..ones of your best ever..needs a soprano vocalist
5:09 yea, I’m still waiting on you to come check out the 7 guitars I own. Gotta check off that list if you want to have played every guitar ever.
It's a very long list, lol

I'd write a song on it calling it Legassi..Play on words indeed. Pun a dun done lol. The Emerald Legassi. Haha Bammmmm
Emeril..lol. Anyway. Killer guitar. Way above what I could afford to put on a guitar sadly. Beautiful song bro.
What are you using for your backing trax? THey always kick AZZZ! Or does anyone have any ideas on how to get something like what he uses?
I make my own backing tracks.
Damn - that song, tho! Yes meets Molly Hatchet - Steve Howe and Duane Roland. Just wish that I could justify that pricing to my wife 🤑
I get chicken skin when I hear you play... I love your diddys Bud.. You 🎸🎶
Thanks

It still has the strings from the factory. I haven't changed them.
KDH did a tour of emerald not too long ago. They’re nice
lovely jam! it might be better than your Vola jam!
Yeesh! Definitely not on the south side of affordable! Does sound great though.
Great Demo Rich, guitar sounds great. But I bet you can make a sprung turd sound good..😊 😊
With that big hole how does it sound un plugged?
Sounds ok, but it's meant to be plugged in.
im confused if i get this guitar or tesla?
That recording has more layers than a 50 yr old New York freeway.

😅
One thing I’m sure about is I’m not spending $4600 on a guitar.
Me either. Especially after I just bought a 200 dollar JS 22 Jackson, and that guitar is a monster value.
