Raced with Schrader and Wallace a few times years ago in my modified and pitted next to Schrader once in Quincy, il. He had not been to the track in a few years with his late model and could not remember if he could flat foot the turns or not. In hot laps he tried and pancaked the right rear on the wall out of turn four. He came back in hopped out of his car and said...Nope..cant do it! Such a good spirit about things. His crew went to work and he never worried about anything but racing...true legend.
I miss Kenny. He didn't burn up the world as a driver but he was good and so honest and genuine. And very funny. He's a guy who should be in the booth.

It’s not the dirt racing hall of fame, it’s the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Schrader hasn’t done enough to make that hall.
Ken Schrader is not a Nascar Hall of famer
Schrader didn’t do enough in NASCAR for that. However, he could very easily be a candidate for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame if he’s not already in.
Got to meet Kenny and Jimmy Spencer about 15 years ago. They were doing a signing at one of the local dirt tracks before a race, both are great people!
Kenny always seemed like a good, genuine guy.

Kenny Wallace always has had one of the most genuine personalities in NASCAR, and I've always enjoyed him, both as a racer and a broadcaster. I was really saddened watching the podcast show on Tuesday when he said that he got out of broadcasting because it wasn't fun for him anymore. Kenny was always so good at making EVERYTHING fun.
This was hands down my favorite episode of the Dale Jr Download to date.
As a 35 year old lifelong race fan, I was still quite young during Kennys hay day (Xfinity series). I knew he was funny and seemed like a good dude, but WOW this man is AWESOME!
Kemny is Awesome, i like hearing him talk and his stories.
I have a ton of respect for Kenny Wallace & after hearing this episode, that respect just grew 2 fold. Cheers
Kenny finished 2nd to Dale in his last win at Talladega (other than Daytona, his most memorable win to me) Dale thanked Kenny during the post race interview. Kenny said, hell, I knew he was going to the front, so I followed him.
Kenny Wallace said he thinks he got more fan support and respect for pushing Dale to the win than he would had if he had passed him and won.
Kenny Wallace is one of the most genuine people. Love the guy.

Y’all gotta start putting the whole podcast on here. There’s just more depth in the production by being able to see whose speaking. I can connect with the moment so much better through the vlog.

I could listen to hours of you and Kenny Wallace. I am from Southwest Missouri. I remember watching Rusty Wallace and Kenny Schrader race in the 70's at Springfield, Missouri race track. They would come down from St. Louis and race against Larry Philips, David Goldsberry, and Willie Crane. My favorite Kenny Wallace race was when he Pushed Dale Senior to the lead at Talladega in the last 4 laps of the race in Dale Seniors last win. I was hoot and hollering and jumping up and down. That was a great finish. Good memories.
This freaking show simply amazes me more every freaking weak! When you think it cant get any better, IT DOES!
I've said it for years that Jr is talented well above average. It just gets overshadowed by his last name. Dude won Busch championships and is a straight legend at Superspeedways. He was a real racer at the highest level.

One of my favorite racers of all time. Doesn’t matter if he never had the results. He was always a hell of a driver and a hell of a human being. Awesome to see him on DJD.
Kenny is a hell of a good friend. That guys has nothing but heart for Jr. Those are the type of guys that are hard to find and you do everything to keep.

I have always enjoyed Kenny Wallace's personality. He is entertaining, charming and above all he is genuine. Schrader is another great driver/personality. Need to get him on here.
The Wallace's, Carl Edwards, and Ken Schrader are all natives from the eastern and central area in Missouri
Don't forget Jamie mcmurray from Joplin. Jamie, Carl and boyer use to run at our local track all the time (i70 speedway)

I thought the same thing about cup drivers on dirt until I saw his dad get in a dirt late model in 1993 and drive the piss out of it against Kenny Schrader head to head at tri state speedway in Haubstadt Indiana. They came there to race after the Michigan cup race. Dale Earnhardt drove the quick time car. Was still the greatest race I've seen in my life. I was 9 years old at the time.

Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace came and raced at our local dirt track in them traveling modified series about 10 years ago and Kenny Wallace is one of the funniest people I have ever met he talked on the microphone him and Schrader for a good 20 30 minutes at intermission they had a crowd around them they had everyone going great great Racers amazing people and they love to dirt track race
Kenny Wallace is so genuine. I have always liked him. Never a bad thing to say about this guy
Kenny is a class act too. This is cool. I remember watching Jr at M. Beach and he started on the pole (Busch now Xfinity) and he was spun once and came back to the lead, then spun again by a lapped car and came back again to the lead. Jr. always went hard at it and unfortunately, concussions take their toll as I have had 5 myself and know personally. I do wished he'd come back and run Xfinity or something as his daughters are getting older. I still think he wants to race and get that championship and for the sport, it would be a bookend to legends. Maybe he'll let his daughters race in 20 years and bring an Earnhardt back. I know we have Jeffrey but no one gives him a shot in a good cars. I actually grow my mustache in honor of Sr. Because you guys have made my life and I admire you. I'm sitting and looking at my late step-fathers camper cover for his truck and I see #8 and #88 everywhere. As a Harvick fan, like MeMaw (if that was spelled correctly) I love you Jr and I wait daily for new downloads--ain't broke into "major podcast platforms" yet but I have been trying to watch all your vids. And I will definitely be buying tickets to a race when Covid is done. I admire you for your 2 Daytona 500 victories and for the 2001 Daytona victory but also loved seeing you at Richmond. I wished Harvick would have made a better move at Fontana so you weren't hurt. I aplaude you, as an old fan, in your ability to realize that life was more than racing. I watched you on IRacing and once, as I said in another comment, you even gave me a shoutout in an N2K3 race and we raced and guess who won? You. The plane crash? I was so scared--didn't want another Alan K or Davey A but life happens and you know it does. I always wanted to see you drive a black #3 for RCR but realized you have to make your own path. I wanted to see you hoist that Cup trophy--but you are immeasurable in value to NASCAR and the people that love the Earnhardts. Wished you'd not had so many hard wrecks so you could roll out there today because as much as I love Harvick, I would pull for you instead.

Kenny needs to be in the booth for NASCAR races. He would add needed excitement to the sometimes boring laps ! I know in earlier years he was, so he has the experience.

From what i ever saw of Kenny Wallace (tv only) he seemed like a great guy, the kind of guy that would always have you laughing ! Remember some tv commercial where his ending line was "lets party !" and thinking to myself that he would know how to party.

Dale I absolutely love to hear you drivers talk about the feel of the car. What you want in a car. What you need in a car. I ran go carts from 88-95 small time in SC. Ran pretty good local but struggled on State races and Nationals and even Asphalt at the beginning because I burnt the right rear off. I learned later after my driving days running games and watching temps that you can't abuse tires. The one question I wish I would have asked was...What do I need to be fast not what I think I want. I'm like you. I never wanted to see what I hit. I wanted to back into it. I liked free and fast. Problem is you run up front or in the back. Not a lot of consistency. Also, sometimes the slightest contact would do you in cause you were on edge. Please have more segments about the feel of the cars. And maybe your thoughts on drivers that you thought were good. One last thing...was watching and old 1989 Phoenix race. What do you think about Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison. Love your thoughts on how good could they have been. Do you think Alan was ahead of his time with car setup stuff?

You just answered a question for me. Bobby Allison use to run small tracks and I never saw him finish a short track local race. Bobby would get a couple of laps behind and put the car in the pits after 25 -30 laps of a 100 lap feature. He always had car problems. Actually, he didn’t want the locals to beat him on the track.

Jr. We would love to watch you learn dirt. Yes you can go dirt racing....nothing on hauler, keep it simple, go have fun. The only reason people can't hear me laughing my head off is because the helmets and the cars are loud... don't let it be a regret....but a joy of life. You can get some quite help. Practice. And just go have fun. Besides you would get to see a side of country where you roots are planted... the secret is keep it simple...
I agree Jr would be great on dirt! Tony Stewart should give him a winged sprint car to run a few races with! But I agree with Kenny, I think that ship has sailed.
Maybe Dale Jr. should meet up with Dean Wilson and show at a dirt track with a car as grandpa Earl. Could work!
