Love it. Once you have one you’ll never go back. Having everything on the stage end built so it’s just fibre and power means everything flies up super quickly. You can even do a ring with the fibre (FOH > SL > SR > FOH) means you’re protected too. If you want to really make people go mad. Replace the LV1 with an X32 rack and a Dante card. You won’t believe how many high profile jobs have an X32 rack hidden somewhere. A&H make some fairly sweet matrix mixers these days too….
I got myself a cute little D&B Q1 rig ( 8 a side) and I’m shopping for subs... I’m going to use the R1 software for amp control, and I’ve been hunting for a system tuning platform. For now I’m running guest desks into the headliner desk to avoid what you went through. Like someone mentioned newton is the new hotness but not in the ballpark I wanna be in... the hunt continues... I have M32 rack that I could use as an FOH mixer, or I might even use an analog SSL6 ch mixer...
Outstanding and very good bit of design and engineering. Understanding that there will be one offs that you’ll have a sixty percent chance of pissing someone off before the system is fired up. Makes sense to me and once again great job. Look on the bright side, perhaps catering is over the top great. 👍
I wholeheartedly agree with hating on lake. I’m running a new turbosound Manchester rig and of course all the labgrupens are lake processing and I want to pull my hair out every time I have to touch it
@@deejayarecue how do you like the Manchester. I haven’t really seen anyone else with it yet. I just did the Autozone Liberty Bowl halftime show with it. Also turns out I’ve watched one of your videos.
@@djthornton98 Pretty happy with the rig overall. I know of a few companies out there with them, but no one in my area yet. AVL sold through a bunch of them recently, so maybe that'll change soon.
If I hired K Sound in I would say you know the system the best you do that, and do it how you want. I’ll mix the show and give you what you need for me just tell me what you need…
Built similar a few years back. Had Dante Primary and Secondary, Analogue and AES over SoundTools. Had wireless (Poe) built in and Smaart with wireless mics like yours. Also had Tru1 power distro built in, could run a line from the amp rack distros to FOH to power it all.
It was the biggest job we ever did and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get one like that again. The stars planets and moon kind of aligned for me to get that one. Grunnie did the tuning. I don’t think he had a hard time with it but you’d have to ask him
Lake is definitely clunky, at least in this day and age. Outline Newton is the new hotness, but big money. Starting to usurp the Lake amongst those that can afford it.
@@michaelkurczeski1373 Thanks… I’m familiar with the MX36 but, I was curious of the console through console routing and where the problem was. I have a house Engineer role at a local venue. I bring in a Galileo when I need to add a support console. Passing a support console through the main desk isn’t something I’ve had to do. 🙏🤘
We used a heritage D as the drive and also to mix the opener. The other desk came in on ch 49, 50, 51, 52. They threw a dj on at the last minute and we unfortunately put the dj into 47 and 48. My foh tech wanted to link The dj channels and selected ch 48 thinking it would take ch 47 but it links to the next ch up. So 48 and 49 got linked. After the dj was done they pulled the faders down….and we had no left from the headliner desk. I ran backup lines directly from the headliner desk to all the amp racks and the left backup took over. Also I’d like to point out that Grunnie and JFL were out front and neither will admit to being the one who put their finger on the link button but didnt catch that it linked wrong
I used a Sony ZV1 in previous years, but most of the videos from this last year I've been using my phone with a Rode mic(sometimes no mic if its spur of moment filming). I have a Galaxy s23 Ultra. It's just so much easier with transfers and smaller files. My Sony still looks better than it though I'll admit. 🤷

Love the gear breakdown, keep pushing K for more of that

Happy new year Ted and K!
We have a similar rig where I work we use the APB version but the idea of already have a console ready to test and tune PA is smart pretty cool
What's the stage end for this like? Analogue to the PA direct? Digital to the PA direct somehow? One of those D&B boxes?

My least fav part about my Lab Gruppen/Manchester rig as well. Having Dante built into all the PLMs makes up for it, though.

Love it! Just built something similar for our shop. Did you think about going Galileo instead of the Lake?
Nice... More update🔥

You too man. Let's see what happens!
happy new year boyssss .... also why does kay hate the lm44 lol
So K that day of the brunna show. What were you using to switch between consoles that day?
There was only 2 desks…the q5 and the heritage. I passed the q5 through the heritage as we did all the matrix outs from it
@@michaelkurczeski1373 was that by far your job to date since you been in business? Also was it a challenge trying tune and align a PA of that size?

DS-10 is sold - suprising its not something everyone of the big players make.
Outline Newton

A friend of mine was pushing for the newton….besides being big bucks I just didn’t want to go that route.
Looks like I'm buying an LV1 lol
Curious of the routing to go through console A with console B
The purple mix switch does the routing. No need to pass console to console.
