    One thing everyone needs to keep in mind is that the Walker is designed for precise mowing so their deck is a shallow deck with only about 2 inches between the blade and deck so it doesn't take tall grass as well as the Hustler or a Exmark will because they have deeper decks with 4 inches or more of space...

    Hi Jason :) I have been watching your channel for so long now and have wanted to comment so many times but didn't because I am not in the same business, so I kept my mouth shut lol. I bought an Ego electric mower for my small home and play pretend when I am mowing and watching the big guys on RUclips. What I have been wanting to say isn't so much about mowing, but to tell you that even though you are all about your lawn and landscaping business you have an even farther reach in that to people you don't even know are watching - you are an inspiration!
    What you have accomplished has got to be like watching the hand of God on someone's life. Where so many young people don't really go anywhere, it is with amazement that I have watched you start a family, grow a family, buy land, build a business, build a building for that business, build a house and turn it into a home, do a RUclips channel, encourage others, sharing of your knowledge, doing the filming, the editing, the uploading - it is just an inspiration to see. When I simply compare myself to you, I look like a freaking failure lol. But at least I have someone to watch that has presented a roadmap for a good life if they are smart enough to recognize what they are watching. You are simply an inspiration to see, and every time I watch your newest video you have a cheerleader in me for you! If I ever did have a son, I would want him to be very much like you :) It would be plain stupid for people not to see God's hand on your life! Okay, too . mushy, I know others are out there doing great too, i watch them too. But I wanted you to know and hear you are making a difference in places you don't even know, and I wanted to say - thank you!
    Now, to say something at least somewhat related to what your video is about lol - I saw this a few days ago and it made me think of you when you are mowing sideways on the strong slopes at some of your clients. Okay, I realize it may not be something super smart, but when I see you walking lower than the mower it worries me lol. Take a look, and if you haven seen this before maybe it would be interesting. If not, at least I was thinking of you lol. Here is the vid I saw: ruclips.net/video/HSBLP5a-MMk/видео.html
    Regards from Miami, Florida :)

    I cut taller grass than that every day with just a raptor sd. The walkers make a damn nice cut, but on regularly maintained lawns. Bi weekly, mixed grass & weedy lawns that grow to 8-12" between cuts requires a more aggressive machine.

    I compared Hustlers with Walker mower years ago when I was starting out and I ended up choosing a Hustler because it is a more versatile and faster mower and "time is money" cutting the standard residential yards I cut. Commercial manicured properties are really where the Walker mower has its place, but it's hard to beat a mower that goes 15mph and has a quality cut like a Hustler. Not to mention Hustlers warranty has always blown Walker's away. Years ago, I called and spoke with a walker representative and asked him why they don't have the Warranty Hustler has and he had no answer. I think I remember the Walker "Commercial use Warranty" being like 90 days I believe. They stopped me in my tracks with Walker. Although like a say, Walker is a great cutting mower. Now (13 + years later) I still love Hustler mowers. I just bought a new Super Z last week.

    Looking to upgrade from a 30” walk behind mower to a zero turn in your opinion what style would work on hills? Stander, walk behind zero turn or zero turn I only can do 48” I did demo Exmark 48” turf tracer...thanks

      Well one is a 48 and one a 60. Youre double cutting that either way in those conditions, at least around here you would be or get fired. So in the end the 60 is going to make that second pass faster.

      @@fredsmedley5073 I'm just responding to the clumping part of this. Those walkers are great. But that device still would need s double cut in these conditions. Walkers second is is going to be at a considerably higher rate.

  • @robertpendzick9250
    @robertpendzick9250 5 лет назад +2

    The Walker has its blades directly driven by the clutched power takeoff and shafts to the blade spindle. . The Hustler blades are driven by a belt and pulley system on the deck to the spindles . This means that in heavy grass the Hustler blade belts can slip causing the blades to slow down resulting in an uneven cut. The Walker blades are forced to turn and will not slip. The constant speed of the blade makes for the evenness of the cut..

    Walker is the best for bagging grass. Unfortunately bagging grass has become a major problem. I was the first one to have a walker mower in New Jersey. That was back in the 1980s. We still uses them for front yards and for picking up leaves in the fall. I could never figure out why walker never adapted. Walkers became very expensive and started using cheap metals. If anyone knows where I can find a old walker from the early 80s. I’d like one

The exit chute woluld clogg and i'd have to hop off and dig it out. I baought a lazer z and sold that pos superbee. Walkers are good when new but get a few thousand hours on them and they are a maintenance nightmere. You can't make any money cutting grass if you have to buy a new mower every 2000 hours.

    Walker does not come standard with an adjustable height deck, and claims it is a commercial machine. (How can that be when every property is different, and conditions vary constantly when cutting many lawns a day, commercially.) Also walkers length takes up way too much space on a trailer if you are running multiple full sized machines. Sorry, I'll stick with zero turns, or standers.

    • @eliasnull
      @eliasnull 6 лет назад +1

      Because all adjusting take is 4 little pins. Or just buy the adjustment kit. And we mow about 150 yards a week all at the same height so not a big deal for most Walker users.

    Yes,🌼 allabout.wiki/Hustler the bag fills up pretty quickly when there are lots of leaves and I guess that is expected. It is quick to take the leaf catching bag off and put it back on. There is one bar with rubber ends that fits into a slot (bottom), one bar with angled ends that hangs on rubber hooks (top), and two stretchy loops that each hang on a rubber hook (one each side). You can hold the leaf catching bag with one hand full and not drop any leaves. It is NOT easy to empty it into a lawn bag without spilling. My trick: I put two lawn bags side-by-side in a large garbage bin and emptied the leaf catching bag into them. What spills falls into the garbage bin. 90% of the leaves end up in the bags this way with 0% back on the lawn.

    Iknow why people cut grass so low ???regardless of the mower ?been doing this 30 years and peope either cutt it on 3 or sometimes less wich is WAY TO LOW.and or they cut% it on 41/2. 5 to stripe it.if it was my lawn or the right way would be to cutt it higher.and then again littke Lower instead of trying to cutt that much off?at once.truly every yard should be double cutt unless cutt high or at the minimum amount .to look its best.other wise it shouldn't matter then?it's all scams and trends like the consumption of tools and mayerial things then everyones forced to do it a certain way.??after all these years it gotten so tireying ??and most times dint even want to do it.worse is when they tell you HOW??to do it.when i know it's going to cause a problem like scalp spots dey spots or tear up equpiment .then doing more work to go back wards .and example like weedeateng on most all property s rather there my yards or someones elese .acounts.85 percent of the time it doesn't need whipped.but every few weeks with exception of EDGEING .it causes it to burn to close.then i see all these no age guys trying to change the way it's been done before they were born.for some made up trends .then homeowners go along with it.same with tools then guys like us that need tools that work have to buy junk and suffer from these corperations" selling junk.because then they have home owner tools and all the fools' that are wealthy and OWN buy the junk.firat off NO PRODUCT shoukd be labeled home owner.or made?that right there is the problem.on and on coukd go.i would take that hustler all day regardless of its cutt.use better blades .cut twice.wouldn't want 2 more small tire marks 2 was already enough?to many.I do this and have three decades, all b.s. aside lawns look better push mowed. And or without stripes rutts' and tire' marks .realy.not saying be one thise circle mowing" lost middle age men.that thinks he's mowing?but there s better ways if looks is the priority the system is backwards ..and it shouldn't matter .I cutt all day at home in mountains and real GRASS NATURAL GOD MAXE GRASS?I cutt low as I can and cutt it FOR KEEPING LESS BUGS BEARS RATS EXCTRA NKT FOR LOOKS.?there's way more important things and 95 percent of time NOBODY' CARES OR NOTICES UNKESS THEY LIVE NEXT NEIGHBIRS AND ARE BRAINWASHED BY THIS IMAGE DRIVEN LIE OF A SOCIETY.i kept yard striped and emqcilant ?for yeaes NOT ONCE DID ANYINE SAY HEY that's beautful.or man what work you out in in that.?then the week I stopped and was sick magically everyine came around and it was suddenly there buisness.and there experts.only time it matters is someone paying you..even then.it shouldn't be a competition.when truth is there's hardly a diference unless they have it treated weekly and exctra.out of the 150 property's I do MAYBE 2 OR 3 HOMES ACUTAULY?GO OUT ON OR USE THE GRASS?ITS SAD THIS country.is...I use the yard to walk in and live out on..not to look at.walking on concrete is bad for you.another lie you see.freinds ..pointless.
