I only really realised what a lot of storage space you'd gained once you put the shelves and goods into the basement rather than back into the upper room. Really enjoying the daily videos - thank you 👍🏻
Neither one of you have anything to be embarrassed of. You are both amazing to accomplish what you have so far. LOVE it that you showed us the shelves in your room. Not sure how you are going to do the floor above. I am confused why the stairs are placed first thing. I want see through floors hahahahha
I rarely comment on any of the channels I watch which is several hundred but I have to say your music selection is the best of them all absolutely perfect, all the best to you wonderful people from Sydney Australia.
You two are amazing. It really wasn’t that bad of a mess. You can get to everything and it was only temporary. You two are making great progress and I love the daily short videos! 😃
The store room is wonderful 🤗, the transformation is incredible you both have worked incredibly hard congratulations, great idea for the automatic pump . Enjoying the daily videos, take care xx xx
I'm so happy to see that you have a great place to store your food, also to see you are storying a good amount of food to get you by for a few months. love your video's. Take care and stay happy and healthy.
I really envy David’s dexterity with teflon tape😁 Your “mess” is not a mess, it’s a nice stash of food you produced yourselves, you should be proud to have such a “mess”. It’s nice to have the room back though, you did great with the new storage room. ❤️ If you want the mice family to move, place Ivi’s litterbox in there, they usually evict the premises when they sense cat of fox pee. Ivi herself deserves a nap instead of hunting or at least she seems to think so😊
Looks great. You are set for winter, for sure. Suggestion. Here in Canada, either at dollars stores, Ikeas, and the like, you can buy inexpensive shelves with folding legs that double your usable shelf space by using the area above low jars, creating an “upper level” for more short items. Man-that was tough to describe! Lol. Love your basement storage space!
You two are amazing. You’re doing such a good job of building your homestead and future life together. I hope you continue to bring us along for many many more years.❤
it looks absolutely fabulous, I'm loving the shelves filled with all your goodies. shows you what hard work looks like. well done guys . hope you are well and warm hugsx
All your hard work has made a clean cellar to be proud of -- Its been very interesting to watch the process and so satisfying seeing the shelves filled for the coming winter -- Hugs Dearies
Absolutely wonderful seeing your shelves in the basement where they belong. You will now be able to find what you are looking for with no trouble. 👍 I am so incredibly proud for the two of you & all that you’ve accomplished!! ❤️ Daily videos Yes Please. It is so much fun seeing what y’all are doing on a daily basis!
Well done! As you purchase more plastic storage bins, consider storage bins with a foam gasket on the inside lip of the lid. They should also have handles that clip over the lid to secure it in place. They do a great job of keeping moisture, air, and everything else (mousies) out.
Since your heating pipes are in your basement cellar, you might want to make sure you insulate them when you have lots of room to do so, because you do not want heat in your cellar.
Hey good afternoon you guys hope you guys are having a great afternoon or morning that looks very good like what you guys are you guys you guys be able to fix the house you know a lot better and you guys are doing one heck of a job I guess the kitties doing okay she loves you guys about the all right well you guys have a great day God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All of the homes I have lived in need sump pump systems to keep the basement’s dry. Until y dig a proper sump pit preferably on the outside wall you will never get the place dry. You don’t need to dig the entire floor up and replace it. Also as a permanent solution do not empty the pump into your septic system, during rainy season you are likely to overload the system and that’s a real mess. Discharge the water away from the house like into your pond.
Wow, it's beautiful. We used to call our space the "Root Cellar" but it was all dirt. Yours is so nice and clean now. I love that you two always upcycle ♻️ what you can. I think it looks better than new boring wood. 😊 Great work you two. 👍👍 Or should I say 3 . 😸
Later you need to control the humidity after the floor is set because cold and high humidity about water let get the food bad. Or you bulid an air flow system which gets 5...10m3 per hour in and out to get rid of the humidity.
That looks brilliant with all the shelving down ther…that does not surprise me it took all day you have a lot of food stuff to move but you did it now you have the spare room back Evie can catch the mice 🙈😂😂😂😂
Hi, A couple of things, 1) It seems strange to me that you would have so many cans or bottles of one food item, but I guess that with the potential to be snow bound, you need them. 2) Maybe you can create some shelves about half the height of the others so you can double stack your pickles, jams or red capped bottles. Good luck
The basement turned out very well. I suggest that the well cover be a grate made of a material that is not affected by humidity. Furthermore, that wood that you used is green, which is a risk of proliferation of organisms and spores that can definitely be dangerous in the presence of food like the ones you have stored there. You should avoid doing more "temporary jobs" as they only add more and more medium and long-term items to your always long list of pending matters.
Still lots of room down there. You could hang onions and garlic over that beam too. I always nailed 2” pieces of wood along the ends and fronts of my storage shelves to prevent things from slipping off shelves if they get bumped. Looking great and freeing up your 11:02 other storage room.
If you deepened the well where the sump pump goes would that lower the water level more and eliminate the need to redo the floor? Just a thought. Otherwise GREAT JOB!
I'm confused about where the potatoes are now. Are they wet or was this video first? You could run boards across from the shelf on the left to the right on the back wall. Maybe fill is with dry pasta at cereals, rice, oats, and cream of wheat flour. dry beans.
You used to keep the pantry food items in the room above where they are now. What will you do with that backroom when it is finished? Will it be storage? Such a big change!💖💖
Why does the water come from? Is there any way of stopping it? I hope it is OK eventually. Evie is such a sweetheart 💛🤗 P. S. Those plug in anti mice things work but only if you have one on each floor, I would have one in each room personally but I know someone who tried them and she said they initially did not work until she plugged one on each floor. Might work for you guys?
Hii, Cement for your cave is a really bad idea because all the humidity and water instead in your cave will go into your walls and bricks, they are very sensitives and it is not breathable, bricks turn into dust, normally lime and sand would be great and balance your humidity, I understand that you wanted to block the water and collect it at the lowest part of your cave I hope I am wrong because you know better than me your house and I can not see all the setup. To block water the best if I am right was to install a drain outside the wall of your house with rocks. But good videos !! Take care.
They are being stored behind the stairs on the other side of the room -- I too was waiting for a camera pan of the whole room -- maybe next video -- they still need to finish the ceiling so maybe we will see it all together then
Are you going to pad the metal beam so you don’t injure yourself? One careless move and you’ve concussed yourself with a nasty gash. To bad it can’t be removed. I’m guessing it’s a structural problem.

Thank you for your compliment-comment ❤
PLEASE put in a French drain and rain gutters. So many people have suggested it, it might (will probably) be the solution to the water problem!
Hello from Greece,, yes, get the ποντικι Kitty... 🤗

How satisfying it must feel to see all your hard work in your 'new' storage room! 😊
It makes me THINK about cleaning out my closets.

Great renewed storage basement!!! Well done!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶🙏🙏🙏🇨🇦
Great looks like an Aldi market😀👍
Kind wishes from Buffalo NY USA
You might store your cabbages down there. They'd enjoy the extra humidity. Looks beautiful though and I'm so envious!
I just love your cat, she is a little star,, I have two cats and love them dearly. Great job with your food store!
I think everybody is doing pantry organizing right about now--LOL. Plus, look at all the reclaimed space you have now!
Deivids puts so much work into your home and farm. Multi-skilled.
it looks absolutely fabulous, I'm loving the shelves filled with all your goodies. shows you what hard work looks like. well done guys . hope you are well and warm hugsx
I love looking at Evie watching you guys ❤
All your hard work has made a clean cellar to be proud of -- Its been very interesting to watch the process and so satisfying seeing the shelves filled for the coming winter -- Hugs Dearies
Basement looks fantastic! Show us a picture of what it was like and then now! What an improvement
When they moved it was filled with dirt and garbage.
A job well done. I'll watch as many videos as you post so keep them coming.
marvelous with the tile as a moist barrier!!!!!
Absolutely wonderful seeing your shelves in the basement where they belong. The pantry looks good. Well stocked and looks good.
Nice job, wish I had a cellar.🎉🎉
Nice job guys! It looks like you’ll have everything you need for the winter👍😎❤️

THAT BASEMENT STORAGE CAME OUT GREAT!! SO MUCH HARD WORK. 👍🏁👍🏁GOD BLESS
GREAT JOB GUYS! 👏🏻🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Evie says - Hey I was sleeping - lol lol
I can't wait , your almost at 50,000 ...
🎉🎉🎉
It's eevies opinion that the things in the pantry are hers for lounging
Switch the pickle etc from 2nd shelf with the shelf of cans. More room to stack the cans. The organization must feel like a burden has lifted
Since your heating pipes are in your basement cellar, you might want to make sure you insulate them when you have lots of room to do so, because you do not want heat in your cellar.
Really enjoying your daily videos! Great work by both of you as always!
I do have basement envy! Well done you two!

You guys really have it together. I'm so impressed. The basement canning, preserving, including growing your supply is amazing.

Considering how the basement was to start with, the transformation is miraculous 👍👏💪👌
You two have a LOT of food in storage! But I don’t know how far you live from shopping, so maybe it makes sense.
I think you are the boy whith the golden hands and his prinses !!❤ like you so much!
The basement storage look so much better than upstairs.
Love love the shelves, do not get rid of them!!!!

Looking good. You might want to add some more vertical supports to the inside edge of the shelves down to the floor... Looks a little tippy 😊
I would recommend you leave a fan down there. Air circulation can make a damp spot a lot Dryer, it's a simple and cheap solution.
Still lots of room down there. You could hang onions and garlic over that beam too. I always nailed 2” pieces of wood along the ends and fronts of my storage shelves to prevent things from slipping off shelves if they get bumped. Looking great and freeing up your 11:02 other storage room.
Very nice, never have too much storage/pantry :)

They mentioned they wanted to put a washing machine there, guessing a laundry/utility room?

Good solution, are you going to put in a french drain next year?
Hi equal parts of white vinegar and water in a sprayer bottle. Mice don't like it they run away
Hiiiiii 💖💖💖
👏🌟👍🍀💐
Where did the potatoes and veg that you had down there go .?
They are being stored behind the stairs on the other side of the room -- I too was waiting for a camera pan of the whole room -- maybe next video -- they still need to finish the ceiling so maybe we will see it all together then
Thankyou , it’s bigger than I thought.
I was going to ask that. Guess they must be off the ground to keep from rotting.
Why don't you just install a sump pump easy and has a built in float switch
heating pipes in cellar will warm fod and destroy it.
insulation !!
Are you going to pad the metal beam so you don’t injure yourself? One careless move and you’ve concussed yourself with a nasty gash. To bad it can’t be removed. I’m guessing it’s a structural problem.
Hey can you organize my pantry please 😁
Organizatoriski garšīgs video!😋
