hi Justin, I'm Pablo, I've been adrenaline free for 6 hours now.... thank you, thank you....yeeeesss it is due to poor weather conditions, but its a start! just remember, regardless of if the sound is effected, its only relevant vs other even better sounding motorbikes, its still better than virtually any sound in the known universe!!
Honestly after watching the rebuild and your dealing with the issues it had, I've fallen in love with your bike. If I had the chance to get it, I'd jump at it. Your attention to detail gives me confidence.
4:30 mate you've been spoiled by the R1, we don't deserve the R1 Still sounds great, great work getting the bike back on the road, been a lovely series, keep it coming!
All of your complaints sound awesome! I've found that ppls complaints about Hondas is more a matter of what they're used to by riding less refined/quality bikes bcuz they've come to enjoy being a bit scared or out of control riding. That triggers that adrenaline rush. It's "too good" for them. But, to each their own.
I love these bikes! The chasis is so nice. The smoothness comes from heavy gear based throttle restrictions. Upgrade the brakes, disable the abs, put a full exhaust on, and tune out the throttle restrictions and these are insaneee to ride. With the stock map, in 1st gear, with the throttle wide open the throttle plates only open like 40%...even in the high rpm. Chris moore has a great dyno tuning video on this bike. You should check it out
Very cool vid. I have a 2017 cbr1000rr and absolutely love it. I had a 2012 years back. First day I rode my 17 home I was disappointed and thought I made a bad decision especially coming from a hayabusa with some mods. The bike in stock form was lack luster and the throttle super twitchy and unpredictable. I’m not a straight line guy. I rip the twisties which is why I left the hayabusa life and went back to a fire blade. In corners in stock form the twitchy throttle was a huge problem. Got the bike tuned/flashed and let me tell you what a HUGE difference. Not just in power but the bike is an entirely different bike. I’ve owned it for a little over a year and put 12k miles on it in that time so far. Fantastic bike. Have fun with yours and be safe
@haste953 yup CBRs are very nimble and not so aggressive bikes except the RR-R and would be best for beginners be it the 150 or 250cc CBR for new rider or be it the 650 or 1000 for new superbike riders
That is a fine looking bike! It's great you got it up and running after a ton of headaches. The one I would love to revisit for a weekend is the 2002 CBR600 F4i. I'd love to revisit it as an older guy with better impulse control, self-control, and questionable at times maturity. :) As a 19 year old on it in 2002, it's one of my own wonders of the world how I survived the experience without any formal instruction or mentoring by other experienced and trusted riders.
The CBR600F4i is a great bike. I had one and it taught me how to ride properly while my friends on R6's etc were slower because those bikes were more focused.
Go used, I never thought I'd have a 1000cc superbike. It's a 2007 CBR1000RR, not the newest but also not the oldest. It's more bike than 99% of people can manage (me included) and after a bit of love you could even say it's no worse than some modern superbikes. Mine has basically 0 restrictions and you can still get parts for it everywhere, extremely reliable because it's Honda, still reaches 300km/h same as any modern superbike, it just doesn't have the tech, only an electronic steering dampener and that's it. I paid the same as what a new MT03 would cost lol. I put a quickshifter too and it feels good.
@@haste953thatz a nice bike still have my 04 cbr 1000 first year of production got that bike in 08 still have it to this day not sellin it an dont want none of these new bikes like u sed these bikes run with the best of the new bikes so on that note im not spendin no crazy money on none of these new over tech bikes costin dam near 20 racks im good
I am happy that you talked about the electronics and their downsites on a, like a would call it, older bike. I just bought a 2024 Honda Fireblade non SP. Primarily because of electronics and looks. Honda did an extremely good job on the newer models especially with the wings. After all research i did before buying it seemed like the right choice over an R1.
the turn signals can be turned off by service executives in Honda's service centers. My father owns a CB350 which had lit turn signals, it annoyed him so once on a routine check-up the turn signals were "fixed".
I bought my 2021 cbr1000ra abs in August of 2022, with zero miles. It has almost 25,000 miles, now. I’ve been through four sets of tires, countless oil changes, and an air filter. I’ve changed the brake fluid twice, front and back, and I’m about do it again. They did change the electronics to separate wheelie control and traction control, and they both work great. I’m completely opposite, as far as the looks of it go. I don’t like the weirdly aggressive, super sharp angly look of the Zx10r, or the single headlight of the gixxers. The r1 is ok, but the riding position ruins it for me, so I don’t consider it. I love the looks of the sc77. There are some sharp angles, but there are also a lot of really smooth lines, and the combination is ideal, for me. I have the akropavic gp short slipon, and it sounds amazing. There’s nothing like an inline four screaming to 14,000 rpm’s, man. It does something to my soul (or lack of, me being ginger, and all). There have been no mechanical issues. The electronics have always worked flawlessly. Set correctly for your style of riding, they can be just the right amount of intrusive. I’ve felt it pull small amounts of power with a knee on the ground, and it’s really good about stopping spin ups on wet roads without yeeting you into space, but wheelie control will let you find balance point, and ride it a second, if you learn how to manipulate it just perfectly. You’re right about the abs, though. It would be cool to be able to adjust it, but you can disable it completely by just taking the fuse out, or not buying an abs model. It’s crazy light. You have to spend a good bit more to find a supersport that’s lighter, and it feels as light as it is. If it’s a little heavy to tip in for you, setting your suspension up for weight and distribution will help immensely. With a tune, it accelerates violently. Without a tune, I’m accelerating just as fast as friends with s1000rr’s, Zx10r, gixxer thousands, R1’s, and Superduke r’s. The guy I call the most when I want to go do hoodrat shit on public roads has a Superduke r, and he can’t pull away on me, because of the difference in corner exit speed. My chassis is better, overall, so I can enter, hold, and exit corners a good bit faster. Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with my choice. It’s been a great bike, and it will be a great bike after 60-80k miles, when I rebuild it, and keep on riding. I’ll have other bikes after this one, I’m sure, but I’ll have no problems keeping this one indefinitely, save the possibility of some cock pulling out in front of me, and totaling it. I’d really love to see an update in a few months, when you’ve really had time to make it yours, and get it adjusted to fit you better.
My Africa Twin has the same left hand switch cluster and you get used to the horn being there😅. The Selectable Torque Control is very irritating on the AT so I switch it off completely.
I've had a 2015 CB500X and currently have 2024 Transalp and that's been my biggest gripe with Honda, the horn and turn signal placement. Other than that love Honda.
Well, even the triple R had engine and various electric problems... A local guy waited 6 months when the engine was replaced under warranty on his zero mile bike. :D
I have the same 2018 model, I always hated and wondered why Honda would switch the position of the Horn and Signal buttons. It hit me months later that Honda was actually focusing on being a safe rider than a jerk rider, the easiest to reach button is the lowest one which makes it the Signal button. We need more signaling than Horn in the streets, and if you ever need to curse someone then you can just rev the engine.
I've always loved the look of CBR1000R, I dare to say they look aesthetically the best out of the big 4. The design language does seem to take after their cars which, well, not sure if it is a good or bad thing.
But after 10 years under the belt, definitely far away from being an expert. For the road I don't want anything above 120hp, I don't even know if I want more than 70hp.
Here's an idea for a video topic: Where have nearly 2 generations of people come from who are collectively saying this idea that inline-4 engines are boring and characterless? The question is based in a historical perspective of when this configuration of engine was first designed and put to market.
This review was OUTSTANDING! I just yesterday I compared the CBR1000 to the ZX-10R and concluded precisely what was mentioned here... seat slightly lower, bars slightly closer in and a tiny bit higher, somewhat relaxed rider position for a superbike. I also noticed you're a serious bicycle rider like me, with your Shimano clipless pedals and disc brake carbon fiber road bike hung on the wall next to you. We seem to have a lot in common, except I'm rim brakes and SpeedPlay pedals, and our accents (Brit vs Americano) are different. Other than those things, very similar traits.
You are wrong, completely, cbr 650r is tourer version of 600rr, there is no sports tourer version of cbr fire blade, the relation is more like R1 and R1M
I traded my 2009 CBR600RR for a 2019 Suzuki GSX-R600, and after spending time with both bikes, here’s my take: The CBR is definitely better at cornering and it feels lighter and slightly more comfortable overall. However, the GSX-R really shines on highways-it feels more stable and confident thanks to its weight, stronger engine, and lower seat height. On top of that, I prefer the Suzuki because it has better build quality, and the fairings feel more premium and rugged compared to the Honda. Both are amazing machines, but each excels in different ways!
As a Honda and Fireblade fan, this bike failed big time because until today, there isnt any easy way to change sprockets or tyre size, other than to throw in a fortune to get the hrc kits.
i got a beatiful british racing green 08 fireblade with forged carbon and angel eyes, i prefer that all day. i think this is designed a little bit boring. love the triple r design tho
It's a great bike. Faster than a gsxr750, but slower than the latest cropping of 200+hp liter bikes. Most people can't even ride their liter bikes to >50% of its capability anyway.
The cbr500r i had was wicked smooth too, and pretty boring TBH! But its tough because some rides you take you want a smooth ride and sometimes you just want it to be like a bat out of hell 😂. If the bike is ALWAYS like a bat out of hell then youll find you don’t want to ride the bike as much, only when in “the mood”. 🤷♂️ And then its like…why am i paying thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars for something i don’t always want to ride 😆
With one costing almost 14.000 Euros second hand from 2017 i doubt this wil be a loved bike in the Netherlands. But every motorcycle is expensive here so there's that

I purchased my 2023 SC77 new last year - intake modification, exhaust, and full tune - it's a phenomenal bike.
Maybe I missed the sarcasm but to me the sound is amazing. What a nice inline 4 growl. I personally love that bike.
That horn on the indicator spot is hilarious 😂
Yea I have a 2017 and it still aggravates me a year later lol
