i dont get why the jiggs matchup is bad for marth tho. Hbox knows the fox matchup so well so if you arent on par with leffens or armadas fox it just wont work so m2k really shouldnt go fox there
it isn't an overly difficult matchup, but it is for hbox jiggs vs marth. like, remember, fox v jiggs is a HARD matchup and hbox makes it work. that being said, i do believe that if m2k put some time into the matchup and practiced against princeabu he might be able to make it work. smashGod beat hbox in a set on netplay mainly because he's so great at forward-throw tipper forward smash--if m2k got good at that there's no reason i can't see him being able to beat hbox a few times with his marth.
I just love how you put match 4 as one of the last clips, because it's really the first clip that showcased m2k's ability to destroy with marth imo, and the way the music settles right as the clip starts is so perfect. Thanks for this gem of a combo video

Unlike Chess or other games, Melee has a variance factor or luck. Who you get paired with is big in addition to experience. Chess has no hidden information while fighting games like Melee do.
He has been great across every smash game, and in melee was the undisputed best for a time (Earning him his spot as one of the 5 gods), so he has a long history of success and that's what makes him legendary. He has had a bit of a falling off for various reasons, in melee it's because he has decided to devote more time into Smash 4 and make that his focus, he is also weak mentally and will tilt after losses (He is renowned for poor losers runs). Before Cloud he was a DK player, but Cloud is just the one he finds to be the most fun.
I've never liked Jason's Sheik half as much as his Marth. I don't think his grab range, combo game, or attack range/tipper power should be buried as much as it is.
The video started playing in halfspeed for me and I watched the whole thing in halfspeed. Reading the comments I was like WTF is everyone talking about this music is garbo! Then I proceeded watching the video in slowmo with slowmo music at 2 minutes in I started doubting the video maker's video making capabilities and I started to complain and yell about the world being stupid. I kept expecting for the video to speed up halfway because I was like, "Yeah that would be cool... Start it off slow show off M2K busting some balls then halfway through start speeding it up with the music and wrecking more ass." Sadly... The video never sped up. Why am I such an idiot?

***** no dude he was definitely falling off in melee for a while because of hand problems and ive heard depression but the past 6-12 months he's been on top of his game. The way m2k plays highly incorporates his emotion if he's sad and doesn't believe in his own skill he often plays like shit but when he's happy he seems to destroy everything in his path. It's just the way he is I guess
