    The At-One’ish stock you are making for Savage to sell on the Wal-Mart MKII-FVSR is amazing. You fixed the only two real problems with the At-One you sell. The high school Ag-Shop sharp angles and the little-too-gawdy plastic pieces. Please put the gen2 into regular production.

    One thing that would be awesome is if you guys made the at-one stock but had the more vertical grip like the varmint stock.. the adjustable lop and cheek comb with the flat forend and cut out in the back to rest a rear bag would be the perfect budget precision stock

    Hi, I have a Spanish Mauser 1916 I recieved from a friend in trade for a Ruger Wrangler. I don't care for the Choate stock he set it in as it looks to be a Universal Mauser stock for small and large ring series rifles. There is a lot of excess space on the stock around the action and barrel. I have been eyeing the Classic stock from Boyd's but have a couple of questions. First is how do I determine if I have a #1 or Military barrel on my rifle? Secondly, my rifle doesn't have a factory floor plate, magazine well, and trigger guard. Will I have to try and secure these parts should I buy a Boyd's stock or can I use the trigger guard from the Choate it currently has?

      We offer the 2e 22LR with a bull barrel channel at this time. Measure the center to center action screws and if they line up it will work. You'll just have a slightly larger gap between the barrel and stock.
      From the specs at the bottom of the page:
      Center to Center of Action Screws: 6 1/8"
      ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: These stocks are designed using metal trigger guard and floor plate and are made using barrel mounting screw model. If your action has rear receiver mounting screw please review Mag parts (if available).

    Which stock would you recommend for a Remington 710 in 3006?

    • @boydsgunstocks
      @boydsgunstocks  3 года назад

      It's all personal preference and what you use the stock for. For hunting involving lots of walking or backwoods hiking, we recommend something light, either the Featherweight Thumbhole or Spike Camp. For target and prone shooting, we recommend the At-One series due to it's versatility and adjustability. Lastly, if you're a traditionalist, we recommend the Classic, Prairie Hunter, Platinum, or Heritage. Check out the Gallery page for more information on each of our shapes and their benefits. www.boydsgunstocks.com/gallery#shapes

  • @garrytalley8009
    @garrytalley8009 Год назад +1

    The right stock for me just isn't there. I like the thumbhole stocks made specifically for right- or left-hand shooters. They are not only comfortable but feel more natural when aiming on target. I do have a Spike Camp stock and it just doesn't feel natural in the hand. Most likely because it is not designed specifically for a right- or left-hand shooter. It is nice and light. But I don't like the boxy look of it either compared to the other thumbhole stocks.

  • @russellehrgood9835
    @russellehrgood9835 Год назад

    I purchased a Boyd's thumb hole stock from OptiPlanet and the stock fit well, the finish not so much. I have a model 70 winchester in 300 win mag. I plan to use it for hunting in Alaska, which stock would you recommend?

    • @boydsgunstocks
      @boydsgunstocks  2 года назад

      Choosing the right gunstock comes with a lot of factors. If you use a larger scope or taller rings, we recommend something with a Monte Carlo or an adjustable comb. It's entirely personal preference if you prefer a thumbhole or a traditional stock, a thumbhole provides added stability. With colder weather, you may need to adjust your length of pull depending on bulky clothing, for that the At-One or At-One Thumbhole is the best option.
