This is absolutely perfect for me right now. The timing is impeccable. This video and one other I discovered this evening, through my teacher. I was chuckling as I tried to play along. I discovered too the percussive sound of the super thin pick. It was magic to catch wee bits right. Many thanks
This comment is a little late but... This backing track has helped me as a beginner so much! I'm now able to easily combine all five patterns of the A minor pentatonic scale up and down the fretboard. Still working on improvising a lead to this. I love that bluesy rhythm! Thanks Nick.
Oh yeah man! That's the way to lay down a great blues groove. Gives all of us aspiring lead players some hard driving inspiration. Keep up the good work.
Hi guys, you can visit my website nickneblo.com/backing-tracks/ (mobile friendly too) and choose backing tracks by genre/style or by Key. It's still 'work in progress' but it might help you select the tracks you're looking for in a quicker way, always playable from embedded RUclips videos.
What's the process for Building a song off of your tracks and then putting them on youtube....just credit to your backing track or? I'm not monetized or commercial....just having fun!
E7+= E7 Augmented? Whole tone scales from any note of the E7+ ? Or is that only for jazz? Melodic minor scale from the 5th of the subdominant 4 cord? Or 4th? I knew that about ten years ago, im going over what i forgot and practicing what i skipped over. Had all three books of, A Modern Method For Guitar Berkeley Music Series. Thank you.
Dear Nick, greetings from Greece. This is another excellent backing track of yours and we, all (the lovers of Blues Rock) are grateful for sharing with us your talent and inspiration! Please, let me know if I have your permission to upload on my youtube channel, an improvised jam on it, attributing, of course, the credits to you and the respective link. Thank you very much!
of course you have the permission for RUclips. if you have time read this article, it'll help you understand what you can do with my tracks in the future: nickneblo.com/my-backing-tracks-policy/
@@NickNeblo Thank you very much for your prompt reply and the permission. I will notify you, soon as I upload my video. Your article is very helpful as well as the relative video, which you've uploaded a few days ago. Thank you again!
Not sure you've read the description. A pentatonic minor is one of the possibilities, probably the most common or the easiest. Titles should fit a line. 'Blues in A' would be too vague. 'Twelve-Bar Blues Pentatonic minor, A pentatonic major, A blues' and so on is too long and confusing. Thanks for the comment anyway, someone who does not read the description might read your comment and understand more. Or might get confused. Who knows. Depends on the level.
It's because it doesn't contained a 6th in the natural minor scale, it contains a 7th so A-minor pentatonic works and all your diatonic modes shift on the whole fretboard from natural minor of A-Aeolian off of the root note to A-Dorian! A-Dorian is 12 bar blues specific, A-Dorian is the reference diatonic mode scale not A-Aeolian! Again, all the diatonic modes shift when playing 12 bar blues compared to when playing a A natural minor.
SCALES: A minor pentatonic A minor, A major, A blues, Chromatic, A harmonic minor, all give different effects. The more you know how to use them, the more you can enjoy this track. They can all work. The KEY hasn't been specified. A minor pentatonic is from feedback the most common people use over this track. The title has to fit a line, be concise and not confusing. There's explanation in description and subtitles. Use whichever scale you want, argue as much as you want. I recommend playing what you feel and having fun. I'd rather you (plural) showed video performances with different scales on this track and your face before commenting. In the future, I might show how all scales sound on this track on a video, but I have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

cool: )
Good stuff eh! ! 😆
not really A minor, cause a major pentatonic can be mixed in here with no ill effects.

grazie! usala per improvvisarci qualcosa
The chords would be handy
A Major, you mean ;))
This is in A not A minor
Its A major not minor folks. Think someone already pointed this out.
i posted in my fb
Slowed down version of Johny B Goode but you’re the lead guitarist
I make it A major. Standard blues progression..
GO JOHNY GO
HAMMERR
This ain't minor. It's major.
True, but the A minor pentatonic (or even A dorian scale) works great with this.
It's A major Mixolidian (or A minor Dorian, it's same)
