Was no internet then & I was from St.Louis MO. The only way I ever heard these mixes is when I moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple U. My neighbors were from Staten Island ny.......Leaving St.Louis going to Philly & NY.......I thought I had died & went to heaven ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
DOPE!! Thanks to ALL who throw up throwback music shows like this one here, reminds me of the 80's, great time to be a kid n see my older Bros n them chilling. I remember ALL that shit as a 10 11 yr old 4real!
So you had the pleasure of experience the late 80s and all of the 90s in terms of hip hop like I did. If you were born between the years 74-76 you had the most well rounded experience of the 80s 90s and early 2000s. We were blessed. Greatest era ever that will ever be.

Not the most technically gifted dj (he didn't have speed, skill or was flawless) but Red was raw and every show, 45:30 there were a half dozen flashes of brilliance for a minute or so each when he'd catch the groove and the "DJ Red Alert Mastermix call sign" would come in.
When you're one of the hottest radio mix DJ'S in NYC and the world with artists clamoring for their records to premier on your show, you don't have to be a flamboyant DJ with a million tricks. Everyone back then was checking for Red Alert on the radio and artists, labels and record executives all needed Red's stamp of approval by way of his mix show.
Yo this is burning into my brain box of the many breaking late nights record/edit on a Sharp GF-777 box puffin on L's and Philly's drinking Lowenbrau's n Mad Dog 2020.. Perfect time to be a kid!!!! Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh...

Why not?I'm goin' 2 upload "Some More - The Most" from the Fast Money EP.Also from '86.Dopeness!
Grégory Flaux, I'm also curious: Why don't you believe this is from '86?
I have already uploaded two mixes by Chuck & Red "The Most-Some More" and this joint is surely from '86
also the first song South Bronx By BDP was a response to The Bridge By MC Shan so the start of the Bridge Wars so its sure this show is from '86
