when there is a sova ult in postplant its a textbook play to tap first to bait and then push the ulting sova. When the opp sova didnt hit on first tap he knew jingg was pushing him. Here there was only one choke to push through so he predicted jing would push(not that hard to deduce) and ulted the choke.
In a different situation, the Sova might have cancelled ult. But because he knew that the only way to him was a chokepoint, he decided to just fire off his ult.
