I only have a couple goats, but I also have 5 acres of woods here in NH, with invasive bittersweet. I'm encouraged by this to set up a rotation in my woods to let them help me maintain it. I'm going to look for the poly dome.
Cool to hear. If you do find a supplier try and find the half size polydome as they are smaller, cheaper and easier to move around vs the larger one if you just have a few goats.
@@jacoblangeslag7887 They LOVE bittersweet, and it's strangling my trees, so its a win win. I worry more about them eating black cherry as I have a lot of that as well.
Hi there! Jake! I'm So glad I found your channel! Great work with winsome goats!👍😁! I sure hope you continue with clearing the land with goats! I leaned a lot, we have trouble areas on the East Coast also!
Thanks Jacob. Amazed that Goats can survive those cold temperatures. All the best for your next venture. This was really good info.(No I am not a goat farmer ;-) ) but I do have an interest in them as they do appear easier to farm with than sheep or cattle.
It is easy to feed any animal under good conditions. I would liked to have seen what happens in Jan. and Feb. with heavy snow. I'm close to northern Maine which is probably similar to northern Minnesota !
Nice work Jacob. Very encouraging as we begin our land management program utilizing goats. All the best!

@@jacoblangeslag7887 Good Idea as 4-5 is probably the most I want to care for at one time.
@@jacoblangeslag7887 Im hoping I can turn them on the side and roll.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE BOER GOTS FOR MINNESOTA?
I have to say I'm not a big fan - very few in our 650+ herd with a white body and brown head. I prefer Spanish goats.
