Yeah I only play with them for yt and with my friend cuz it's fun other than that..nope never played with them for fun but I love my models.
I dont have any breyers
I started with classics, I’d smash them together and play “super horses” with my best friend. 💀 I still have them, but now the quality is painful to look at 😂

I still have all my Classics. My standing Spirit family has really taken a beating. The same front leg broke on all 3. I lost Rain's leg and she has been missing one for as long as I can recall. The foal broke his leg and was put up to be glued, but I think he ended up getting thrown away for some reason, and Spirit fell out of the box I was carrying down a flight of stairs. I also used to play rough with my classics so they are all beat up and ungodly to look at which is why they are on a shelf in the basement vs. Being on shelves upstairs like my Traditionals. But they are still sentimental to me.

When I was a kid I kept them in order, in the stable
I used to play with them outside Lol. I would pretend they were a wild herd. Now that I lost my entire childhood collection a couple years ago I just got a new traditional yesterday and she's only going outside briefly for photography. I've already realized I have a certain taste I like. Matt finish with realistic colors. Not a huge fan of high gloss and designers
I play with all my models. But i don't TOUCH my decorators. I have Red Velvet and Cupcake and i don't touch those boys

If ya'll are curious about how you may change in the future as a collector, picture yourself sorting through a box of $5 traditional bodies and saying to yourself, "Oh, I could re-sculpt the mane and tail, paint it a dark dappled flaxen liver chestnut and then I'll have something really nice for my shelves." That's what happened to this Breyer collector.

So I started collecting model horses about a year and a half ago, and I would get all of the horses out and they were all a “herd” and they would go on adventures around the house like over chairs and I mostly played with my moms old models but my first 2 models were Gypsy Vanner (Thumper) and Carlton Lima Emma (Crystal mountain). I have my own business, and it’s so much easier now to purchase models because when I was younger I only got models at Christmas. I also love the regular uploads!

When I was growing up I only had. 4 Breyer model horses( my Grandma found them at a yard sale for me, I was 4 when I got them). My parents couldn't afford Breyers so I got Grand Champion Horses, but the Breyers I did have I took care of them. I never played rough with them, I was always the careful one with them. I still have them and I love them so much.
This is so relatable, when I was little I used to ram my classics into each other like bumper cars, then I would have one push the other down the stairs to wood floors. My poor little classics! That’s why my first beans don’t have legs nor ears! And... I used have my classics buck riders off across the room and then proceed to kick the crap out of them.
This is going to make so many people mad. I got my S. Jusatdream forever ago. I was pretty young. It was the last one on Amazon and I got her for $35 NIB. I played with her and now she is one of the most beat up horses in my whole collection and I totally regret it! I am so mad at past me. I still have to try and get a replacement.
Breyergal Isabel maybe you can try and find a place send her to get restored? It would be cheaper than buying a whole new model.
The crazy thing is, we spend more money on plastic horses than real horses😂

I used to get a bunch of just regular runs and cheap models as traditional but now I'm starting to get the expensive kind of models cause of how much more quality they are and plus I used to ruin my models and now I make sure there good lsq ish models. But I might do what u do which is to spread them out a bit cause that sounds like they would look better. I dont have my models touch each other but they are kind of smushed together on my shelves

Mine were always on shelves, I started collecting when I was 6. I had an elaborate barn set up and played for hours.....I'm now 33 collecting just as fiercely as I did back then with an elaborate barn set up......me and my daughters play for hours. ♥♥♥
All my original breyers that I've had for a long time are in such bad quality now, and I cringe because they are now limited edition. Now they are on shelves in my room and taken very well care of

When you were questioning if the horses get bored not being played with anymore, you should know if 15 and have 78 traditionals and I tell my self they are in a huge field playing with each other!

When I first got my breyers, I played with them.
But I tried SO hard not to scratch them.
Now I got a new Breyer, IT HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED OUTSIDE the only time I use it, I use it on the carpet inside.
I would never put my horses in a bin or pile together bc my mom stopped me from doing it😂I still buy breyers no matter what still soooo😂
I didnt really play with my my little ponies (that I still have*400+*) and models I would set them up doing things but I wouldn't give them voices I would however make them neigh XD

I do play (gently, I jump every time one falls over. On my carpet >:/) I don't have money o collect though, so I guess its holidays for me xD I also never thought of fighting, more realistic role-playing. Of course, I'm a terrible tack maker and my 3 stables are bursting at the seams.

umm when i was a kid i was like dad no we can not put those horses in bags or boxes i neeeedddddd shelf because they were my ponies especially because they came out of my bank account or birthday and christmas so they were not just handed down so i was really careful with them so i guess i’m a weird kid like once i did a whole 200 bucks as a ten year old from chores and christmas and birthday money haha i was and still am obsessed haha

I had t ppl be gentle with all my old models because they were my moms models from when she was a kid.😂😊
I’m 9 and I have Schleich are used to collect stablemates but they were too small.
i would bring my models to my horse shows and play with them there in the dirt with my friends :)

Classic breyers where I am aren't cheap. They're $14.99 plus tax.
I saved up all of February just to have spending money cause of star coins, they're releasing a new horse in March and I want it, and I spent almost $20 on Sugar, the classic unicorn stallion.
So far Sugar is the only ever Breyer I bought with my own money. Ever other Breyer I own I got from Christmas or my birthday.

3:31 yea uH- so I’m in love with spirit riding free (I’m a kid, and yes I store my shcleich in a box and I don’t have a single Breyer 👁👄👁) and my parents have me toys of the horses and some dolls. This was a few years back, and so I would pretend they would leave the horses out for the night, and Spirit and Boomerang both liked Chica Linda so they would fight 😂😂😂😂 (and they still have marks on them lol)

I store my Schliechs in one huge paddock now I store some On a shelf and I remember when I started playing with schleich I used to put the paddock on top of my barn with my horses literally balancing on my schleich barn

Hahaha! I played with my models but I did things where The riders would feed them and take care of them. I never made them fight or talk. I collected models that are rare and took good care of them. I was very careful to make sure that they do not get a scratch. I make take for them but I try to make it realistic. And I think I do pretty well

i just ordered my first peter stone, he is a DAH after a horse i know, have ridden, and love so much, and i excited, i still play with mt traditionals and schleichs, and they each have huge barns, and they are still in pretty good condition, because i don't make them fight, and they just get ridden, sometimes fed, and just sit there, but a friend sent me a bunch of models, and now those ones just sit there on a shelf

My babies were always on shelves but I would play with them and a lot of my old traditionals have worn hooves and stuff.. I cringe 😖
Last year my fav Breyer fell of a shelf and broke his leg so my mom bandaged his leg but I am still so sad so I don't use him know because I don't want him to break even more
I play with schleich- and I'm 12 and I do half of the teen things- I also mainly collect schleich to play with them and do photography.
How often do we get out breyers? ONCE A YEAR CAUSE THEY ARE LIKE $100 + PER HORSEEEEEEEEE
