I've got a 2024 version of this model 59 Epi. It was lightly used and under $1,000.00 Definitely a nice guitar. I personally like the Custombuckers, and one piece neck. It also makes sense to me that it finally has a Gibson Headstock, Gibson is the Mother company. As for the pricing?... whatever the market will bear. So as fast as these are selling, guess the price so far is acceptable.
hi, that's good, well i'm sure no one is paying full price 🤑🤑for myself i know i have been buying guitars and amps for over 40 years at different shops .i the last 10 years i have Not paid full price for anything ... sometimes all you have to do is ask ..
Gibson is definitely not the mother company . Epiphone founded in 1873 , Gibson founded in 1902 . Gibson did buy out Epiphone but that doesn’t make Gibson the mother company . Also , Gibson has almost gone bankrupt several times but managed to pull it out of bankruptcy . I’m glad about that , I have both brands and of the ones I have , I like them all ! I actually have 9 Epiphone’s and 7 are under $200 brand new . I love them all . I have 3 Gibson’s and I love them too . I’m not , but a good player can make any guitar sound great . Just sayin’ .
I get what you are saying but you failed to mention in the new models that there are Custom Buckers instead of Burstbuckers, it also has a single piece neck instead of a 3 piece neck, Mother of pearl inlays instead of acrylic, the binding is also now more pronounced and Gibson like. The new guitar also has an ABR1 Bridge and a Gibson aluminium tailpiece and of course the open book headstock. These changes are some significant upgrades however, I wouldn't spend $1300 on buying one new because in a years time when they start coming onto the used market they will be about $750-800 as most Epiphone's depreciate about 30% when they come onto that market.
Definitely a big improvement especially with the Custom pickups .., My Main thing is that i got 2 Gibsons for great prices , for those who want only Gibson ,and you know there out there .. I just think the increase was too big.. I think like i said maybe $999, or even $1099.99 , I don't think they will be as big a seller like when they first came out with the Epiphone 59'' .. My opinion .. thanks for writing,,,
I gotten this off several online posts > 2, 3 & 5 piece necks will always be superior to one piece. Stronger, less twist prone, more stable.!!! NEXT >For cheap guitars, using necks made up of multiple joined pieces of wood s a cost saving measure. But for expensive custom guitars, necks made of multiple pieces of joined wood ADDS to strength, appearance, and cost. SO ITs No big deal having a One piece neck Not a selling point to me...
For the Price difference now becasue they Raised the price of the original to $999.99 then i would Probably go with the 2024 Model ...BUT you might be able to get one a lot cheaper if you look around all depends on there stock... Trust me i do it all the time...
I've gotten 3 inspired Epiphone LP's the last two years. A 2021 50,s Standard, a 2022 Silverburst Custom, and a 2022 Jerry Cantrell "Wino." They're all very nice playing and sounding. The Wino is my favorite. I rarely play it and it mainly stays in the case. I really want one of the new Epiphone LP's with the Gibson headstock shape and custom shop pickups. Either a white LP Custom or the 59 LP. The matte sunburst finish is growing on me. Pictures don't do it justice. I was at guitar center the other day and held one in person and it really is a beautiful finish. Probably gonna wait to get a used one for a bargain. Anyway hope you enjoy your Epi's as much as I have. ✌️
Go for it, I just got my new 2024 Les Paul '59 in Tobacco Burst, and it's awesome. I owned the previous version of the '59 and didn't like it much. This new one feels and SOUNDS a lot better.
@johnnyguitar-uu3zr I think it's worth the price. I have a few of the new Epiphone Les Pauls. The fretwork on mine was near perfect. The body's top is much more figured than my previous 59 and the pickups sound AMAZING. When I ordered this guitar I expected to be slightly disappointed. But instead I'm really happy with it.
@@johnnyguitar-uu3zr Ah yes I was on your old account and saw about the greeny. That was about 3 weeks ago and have just caught up with the new channel.
The wide D shaped neck on the previous version disappointed me. I bought the previous version in Southern Fade and don’t really care for the Pronounced D shape neck. I bought it online after trying out the LP 50’s version at GC. I thought that the necks would be the same. It was not. Is the new version the same shape neck?
OK On the New 2024 the specs show > Neck Shape '59 Rounded C on the orignal like mine it shows Neck Shape Rounded Medium C SO the difference i see is the "MEDIUM "..supposed to be i think a little less rounded than the rounded C ,

Custombuckers and Burstbuckers cost Gibson the same to wind. The new one does NOT have an ebony fretboard. They both have cts pots. The single piece neck is NOT better. It is more prone to breaking. This new 59 is in no way worth that much more than the previous 59.
