Starbucks is profiting enough to not need to raise prices just to pay workers for the money they are already bringing in. Corporate needs to cut executive wages. They aren't doing the work that brings in the money.
That means Starbucks prices will go up, and we will stop buying. I predict many Starbucks will go out of business within the next two years if prices are any higher.
..I've have three really good independent coffee shops within a short walk from where I live. I'm satisfied. The Starbucks we had in the Neighbourhood actually closed down due to lack of business. One in another area of the city I frequent also closed and the site became another small independent shop that specialises in Middle Eastern coffee. Great place

If $30/hr is not enough, then how much is enough? $50, $100, $300? There will never be enough. If Starbucks goes out of business because of high labor costs, these same workers will be making $0/hr.

Regardless of skill, which requires knowing multiple drinks, and ability to produce hundreds a day, those people are doing the work that is required for the company to make millions. Why does corporate, that has zero interaction with customers and products, get the money brought in by someone else's labor?

I can either buy five Tim Horton ground-roasted coffees that last me one month each, or one Tim Hortons, Caramel Syrup, Coffee Milk, and many other things you add to coffee that would last me at least 15 days or buy a single Starbucks Drink with the same money. The choice seems obvious.
If minimum wage kept up with inflation and productivity it would be close to $30 an hour. I don't see how wanting a basic standard of living is being entitled. Boomers are so out of touch.

Travel during the Christmas holiday season has always been a problem: Too many travelers flying during bad weather. It is so expected that it shouldn’t be at the top of the news.

I woke up one morning with an owl on my lamp looking at me. The only way he could get in thru the fireplace. I’ve taken care of birds before so I knew how to get him out safely. That was a trip and a cool experience.
There is a type of duck that nests in hollow trees, and one was in my sauna chimney one time when I started a fire. I heard all this scraping and scratching coming down the stovepipe, and reopened the stove door just in time to see this duck plop onto the smoldering pile of firewood. I snatched that duck out of there quick and put it outside, and it was OK after about 5 or 10 minutes.
That's amazing. I wonder how community oriented they are. A few years ago they had a partnership with the Magic Johnson Foundation. Magic is gone, but his charity is still around. What happened 😢
