@NihongoGamer I have a few 360/PS3/PC sticks that worked for me over the past few generations. With the help of Brook’s PS3 to PS4 and 360 to XB1 adapters, I’ve been able to avoid buying another pricey stick. What was cool is that *_some_* PS4 games detected a “Legacy” controller and would allow a PS3 stick to work with the game without an adapter(even when playing that PS4 game on a PS5). What was is cool about the XB1 adapter is that it also works for series X. Unfortunately that is not the case with my PS5. Will this new PS5 adapter work with PS3 sticks? What if you daisy chain a PS3 to PS4 adapter to this new PS5 one? Again, I’m just trying to avoid buying another expensive fight stick. I’d rather buy an adapter and a bunch of games then waste more money on another fight stick🤷🏻♂️
I know this is months late, but Brook put out a list of compatible sticks with the Fusion adapter and it includes basically every single licensed stick for 360 and PS3. So yes, it should work if your stick is Mad Catz/Eightarc/Qanba/Hori and even the Sega Virtua Stick is compatible.

@@WolfgaugeMozart thanks for the reply. I found out pretty quickly my stick would work with this adapter. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed that for some weird reason the adapter only works with fighting games (unlike the Xbox one adapter which works with all Xbox 1 & Series consoles and all games). Not sure how that’s even possible, but I decided to hold off on getting one. Hopefully an adapter that’ll work with all PS5 games will become available.
@@wolfgangpuff7030 Yeah so sony in their infinite wisdom decided to make legacy support only be required for fighting games, whereas microsoft uses the same controller code for xbone and series so a xbox one controller works for all series, but for sony ps4 stuff only works for fighting games. Even the Brook UP5/UFB Fusion is hooking onto the ps4 legacy support, not actual ps5 compatibility.
Nice video! This is works on 8bitdo pro controller 2?
I bought a snack box micro xl 2023 version cause it solves a lot of problems I have with my hitbox and it’s ps5 compatible
Would this adapter also make a ps5 pad work on ps4 ? Os does it only work one way
Just pre-ordered this lol. Not worth spending another $200 for a ps5 stick this will do.
I'm sort of regretting buying my Qanba obsidian II. I Wanted a native ps5 stick for all manner of ps5 games so I bought the Obsidian but really I prefer my Qanba dragon. It's all modded and nice and just needed this adapter to be usable on ps5 games on my PS5. Sigh.
@@stevenross-watt8640 F
@@stevenross-watt8640 isn't the dragon ps5 compatible since it's a officially licensed product ?
@@DjGo99 when you plug it in and try and play a ps5 game like the new ninja turtles game I believe it just says it's not a ps5 controller and to plug one in. It may be different when playing fighting games but I want a stick that plays all games as arcade sticks are fun for all types of game (shoot em ups, beat em ups etc).
@Steven Ross-watt I'm using my Qanba Obsidian in SF6 no problem
I'm using my home made Zero Pi controller with modded Happ buttons on Street Fighter 6. It works on PC, though I would need an adapter for PS4 since my bro wants a PS4 Pro for Street Fighter 6.
Edit: Just got a PS5. Now need an adapter to use PS3 or Switch controllers on PS5.
Is there something like this for the Hori Fighting Commander? (PS4, PS3, PC) I hate the Commander Octa and bought a whole fight stick just for SF6 tournaments but I would love to just stick to my tried and true.\
EDIT: It probably does but it's SOLD OUT ALREADY! Fingers crossed for June.
Very interesting ! Perhaps you could compare this WINGMAN with a MAYFLASH MAGIC-S Ultimate ?
I have the ultimate and it does the same but doesn't have that compatiblity with many USB controllers but can't say the same for this one since it hasn't been fully tested
Want to see some in depth number Stat testing for input lag if there is any from the Wingman.
yeah i'm curious about this too
Ditto. This is the most important thing to find out and I'm a little disappointed there was no input lag testing done in this video. I used a brooks converter before and there was definitely noticeable input lag. (360 -> PS4 conversion.)
@@AngelicRequiemX you really need the appropriate equipment to lag test, so it's probably good Nihongo didn't bother. Too many youtubers try less accurate tests like just hitting two buttons at once or slowing a camera, and it's not worth it imo when you are concerned with milliseconds. The usual fgc data scientists will put this converter thru the paces to help people out.
I wish I knew this before I bought the dualsense edge just for the 2 back buttons
Damn I've been waiting for so long for an adapter like that that i decided to buy an official ps4 stick aswell
Ive been using Brook XE for my arcade stick and fight pad which are for xbox. Will the FGC convert those over to ps5 like it did for ps4?
Until i feel ready to mod my current stick cause i dont wanna mess anything up, ima buy this forsure
I ordered the official SF6 Hori stick even though I still have my SFV stick and a FightBox, LETS GOOOO
I'm definitely going to get this so I can use my so I can use my universal arcade stick on PS5. I have official PS4 hori arcade sticks that work on all my PS5 but my universal stick is my favorite
I had a Hori Real Arcade Pro N Hayabusa that would disconnect every 5 min. I recently switched to the Hori Arcade Alpha and now have 0 issues.
Wait months for this to be in stock or just buy a new stick. Yeah I’m ordering a new stick lol. But I do love brook products. Been using one for years but I can’t wait months.
dang thats awesome! lets just hope sony wont patch that adapter, coz men it really sucks that they are monopolizing even the controllers now - that dongle is a game changer - now my only problem is that dongle wont even be available in my country, i had to find ways to get a piece haha 😅
Would be interesting if they do, because EVO (owned by Sony) officially allows Brook Adapters for their tournaments in their rulesets, so it'd be interesting if they specifically added that limit
Or.. just make a custom stick with the UFB+PS5 upgrade.. or the UFB Fusion.
Only issue is both products arent officially in hands til end of june
Can you use a whole PS4 controller? I saw somewhere only the dpad works? Do the thumbsticks or their clicks work?
Can anyone confirm that this will work with my snackbox micro? I love that little thing but I bought it right before they announced the PS5/XSX compatible versions. Really want to use mine on SF6 for PS5. This looks dope
I was hoping id be able to wait this out but they still haven't given innnn ugh just gonna buy the damn adapter
Sadly I already bought my Hori Fighting Stick Alpha, but at the very least it's useable for both PC and PS4 and PS5 natively, so it feels not that bad.
Weird thing I noticed was that my PS4 HORI Fighting Commander worked in the SF6 Demo but not the Beta 🤔 any theories?? (a streamer mentioned that the demo has a later build and balance changes than the beta)
Cant wait to get one
Question for you. Is this USB Wingman converter better than the UFB-UP5 upgrade kit from your other video?
Funny that you made this about a Brook Wingman. I just grabbed the XB2 because we're in the middle of moving and I wanted to bring a small console so I grabbed my Xbox Series S. I dislike Xbox controllers so I got the XB2 so I can use my PS5 controller.
I recently bought the old qanba sticks obsidian and dragon.
I like this. But is there a delay? And how much delay because converters usually give the inputs delay and could be noticeable
How universal is it? I have an 8bitdo Arcade stick that I use on my PC. I'd love to use it on PS5 if this adapter will do it.
My quanba drone worked perfectly fine I haven tried my quanba crystal but I hope it works
I'm curious to know if there are certain models of controllers that the Brook isn't programmed to work for, or is it more of a software/firmware situation. I'd like to think as long as the controller is designed to work with PS3 or PS4 out the box, the Brook should work for it, right?
does it work with ps3 to ps5? have a capcom mvc arcade stick.
got it working with ps4 using brook ps3 to ps4
wonder if arcade stick plugging into an adapter (ps3 to ps4) to another adapter (ps4 to ps5) then to ps5, would work?
This is exactly what I was looking for! I hope it will become available in EU before SF6 release
when will this be released on Amazon here in the US? it just say unavailable and they don't know when or if it will be for sale again
