I've been wanting to cut my hair for YEARS but I've always had long hair & am honestly nervous to cut it short but I'd love to and just start over fresh. Girl you were def on the right track about the hot roots only issue I could see as a licensed stylist is your saturation on those ends and it still came out looking great 😊 2 years late I know lol

So pretty! I appreciate this video. Your advice is pretty spot on. Doing the roots last is important. But really even professionals have to kind of guess when to go in and bleach the roots after the rest has been processing, because everyone's hair is different. And a GOOD professional just like a good DIY takes down notes of how long they processed the ends and the roots, so the next time they can do better. And the roots of the short hair do not get as hot as the roots under longer hair. Interesting Fun Fact: for people with long hair, the roots seem to catch some lightening just from the fumes of bleach when long hair is piled up on top of the head so bleaching the roots after the rest is partially processed usually should be done around the back and sides and front before the crown to reduce a hot roots "thinner" appearance at the top of the head. Again, this is for those with actually long hair, not at all the same as your lovely short hair. I am glad you did not fry your hair with the double bleaching. I did similar when my son and his girlfriend wanted to get radical colored hair last summer, and I was so worried it would fry. LOL 😆 🤣 😂
@@KwingoLingo Hi! First, make sure you've lifted your hair to a level 8 or 9 lightness. It's ok to have a bit of orange/yellow left after bleaching if you're going for a rose gold. I used Ion semi permanent in rose quartz mixed with rose. Rose quartz alone pulled too orange for me on my bleached, warm toned hair, and the rose gave me more pink for my rose gold. Also, DILUTE WITH CONDITIONER. Try 2 parts conditioner to 1 part colors first, and test a loc to see what color you'll get. I didn't dilute enough at first and my hair came out a darker magenta. ❤️ After I got the right formula, I had a beautiful rose gold that lasted around 3 weeks, and it faded into a really pretty color each time the color grew out.
Hi Tabytha! I really love the hair style and color.....when it was straight up blonde you kind of reminded me of Jada Pincket Smith! Back in the day when I used to do my own hair it my scalp would tingle as well and I always thought that I either left it on too long or maybe I was developing and allergic reaction to the die. I gave up dying my hair some time ago and now I am lightly graying around the frame of my face. I would love to go straight up silver but I don't want to get back into dying my hair again so I just leave it as it is. The last thing I did was cut about 9 inches of hair off. Your color and hair style turned out sooo cute! those little curls and waves in the front remind me of the roaring 20's (?) just too cute! You did a good job!
Can you put the products used in your description? I know they were professional products but I want my stylist to obtain them. This is the summer color I want.
It just really depends on how often you wash your hair and with which products…definitely about a month for me…but I wash my hair almost everyday and it fades slow so it’s hard to tell that it lost its color. I cut all that color off by now and back to my original color :)
I have that too & my son so bad when it comes on Idk what triggers it & it peels it affects my face & neck. What do you do for your with psoriasis? What do you use if anything? I've even been to the dermatologist which I don't feel what they give me is effective it hasn't worked.

It came out perfect. The process you did is called tipping, if you didn't want to do your roots your supposed to use a comb!
