Thanks Umaro for the interview of our Regional Minister, I do appreciate it.
There was a question that you missed out and we'll like you find out from the Honorable why he left the shores of Ghana to have his surgery without getting it done home.
He's not the only person who has opted out that way.
My question is, are there not competent health professionals in Ghana to handle such cases?
That's an indication that there're problems with our Healthcare delivery system and it so evident but nothing is being done about it.
Please don't get me wrong, Mr. Quartey is my man but let's look beyond that.
People are dying day in and day out because the system is broken.
How could anyone go to any health center and get partial service? We need a total Healthcare delivery that would benefit both the rich and the poor in Ghana. Why not increase the insurance premiums and get the people what is needed. They don't need to buy the prescription outside the walls of the hospital.
Women need mammogram and other services but couldn't afford and lives are being lost like it's no man's business. We need to wake up to safe lives.
Thank you once again Honorable for the good work.

Umaru I appreciate this in-depth interview very much. The honorable minister is the MP for an area where we own property close by Ring Road Central. He comes to demolish squatters on a school property and they comeback after a few weeks complaining they have nowhere to go. But they forget these sites do not belong to them in the first place and they are illegally occupying land and space. They ask where they should go but we should ask them who brought them where they are illegally occupying. It is not the responsibility of government to give them land to live on.
Now about district offices and district engineers. We also own property in another greater Accra jurisdiction where people started encroaching on clearly demarcated roadways. We went to inform the district assembly. The district engineer refused to do anything about it until we pay for the paint, survey instruments, and money for the district team to come and do their responsibility. We did and all they did was just come around and spray stop work, produce permit and almost 2 years on nothing has been done while some are about to complete their buildings. One builder dumped the excavated soil from the foundation of a huge 3 storey 6 apartment building into the road in front of our house and the district engineer told us that he cannot ask them to clear the heap of soil blocking the road because they will not do it. He then asked us to give him money to go hire equipment to come clear it. We refused to pay for this and so a year later it was still there. Eventually we hired equipment and driver and Labourers ourselves paid for the services to get the large heap of soil removed and the road cleared.
The district assembly offices who are responsible for building permits, roadways etc are not doing their work. They collect bribes, look the other way and let wrong things go on. We have to be more responsible, together we can make Accra work.
Keep our frontage clean, say something if we see something, educate the people through media and other sources, prosecute offenders, officials should do what they have been employed to do and stop asking for bribes so they can look the other way.

I have written letters to the DCE and MCE's office regarding a situation in Adenta, yet no action. In fact, I had a technocrat at the district level (Manmomo Assembly) try to argue with me on the issue of a stretch of squatters underneath a high tension cable.

Because of persons migrating from other regions and other countries. The government needs to control people coming to Accra and make sure if you live in Accra you must have proper accommodation, no sleeping outside, at markets or lorry parks.
