Great content, my friend! Thank you for hoping Jayhawk Flex into existence.. A CBE master’s from Kansas would look really good paired with my WGU degree.
I'm considering SNHU and TESU because they have the widest variety of degree options, but, the cost of those schools is holding me back from commiting.
I'd start with deciding which major you want... then find the best option for that specific major. Even if a school doesn't offer as much variety, they may offer the major you're looking for.
UMPI you can graduate in the 8 week term... You need to make sure you can transfer credits to be able and be willing to dedicate many hours a day to studying but for price and time frame, it may be the best option. Reddit has people openly advising others on how to do it
Yep, totally. If you're cool with a Liberal Studies major that's made up of a ton of Sophia.org courses... this can work. But the 8 weeks doesn't account for all of the outside credits you have to earn. Not a huge fan of Liberal Studies, or Sophia but for a lot of people.. this would totally be enough.
@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 I am looking at the Healthcare Administration and definitely struggling to work out how to hack it. Looks so good too but I would only be able to afford two terms max.
@@anichols752 Yep, you're right. There are a couple of options outside of Liberal Studies. For those reading.. take note that 8 weeks wouldn't be the total degree time. This is in reference to time enrolled in the school after transferring in the bulk of your degree from 3rd party credits. For these non-liberal studies majors you'll earn about 40 to 50 gen-ed credits, then about 35 to 40 credits that relate to your field of study. They have to match up with the courses required for the program. Then they'll allot you some flexibility for some electives. A lot of this can be done through 3rd party credits, then "wrapped up" at the school itself in as little as 8 weeks. For those reading, just make sure this type of strategy isn't going to negatively affect you later. For example, if the Grad program you're shooting for doesn't like Sophia credits... don't use Sophia for your undergrad credits. If you map things out properly, it can absolutely work.
They do accept outside credits which can save time. But their courses aren't 100% self paced within the school. They have traditional assignments, due dates, etc.
Excelsior University actually requires two courses, Cornerstone and Capstone, at 3.0 credits each, as well as a course in ethics with 2.0 credits and information literacy at 1.0 credits.
Yep, you're right. Usually schools have a capstone, or cornerstone... Which normally represents the same thing. But they turned it into 2 separate things.
