My cousin always freezes her okra, then, as it's thawing in a colander in the sink, grates fresh nutmeg, only 6 passes with the microplane, over the thawing okra. While you can't taste it, there is a difference to the finished product! I love okra, but dislike the mushy stuff that restaurants make. This is a great way to cook it and not mess up my kitchen or heat the oven
