Great fills! Love the old school red kit too! Btw, there are pedal mounts for cowbells. You can set that next to your hi hat with a bass drum pedal and a hard beater. That's the next level if you want to play this song 100% authentic :)
Great drumming bro! Ive been a drummer for over 50 years but never had the courage to cover Neil's songs but you are doing fantastic man. Trust me you will continue to improve with age as long as you love it. I am more skilled now (late 60's) than ever although with age we lose some energy perhaps. lol. You have a great gift and you are taking on some very difficult tasks as you know since Neil was one of the best ever. Would love to see you cover some John Bonham Zep tunes if you ever get a chance. I would also encourage you to start a band maybe? Seeing a young guy like you have a passion for drumming gives me hope for the future my friend! Keep rockin' bro..!!
@@thedrummermiles Thank you for those words of wisdom!! I will hopefully cover some bohnam, starting with fool in the rain maybe. I have been in a couple of bands, but just don’t really have the time recently. I’ll think about it!
@@cavansvec Yes! Fool in the Rain is one of my favorites and is of course the famous "Bonham shuffle" groove. I made myself learn that a couple years ago and I feel it has helped me expand my creative options as a result. It is actually just triplets for each beat of the bar. (R hat, L snare, R hat) over and over. Start slow and you will figure it out. You are already doing things I cant do bro so I know you will have fun with that one! The late great Jeff Porcaro used that for the Toto song Rosanna. Also Brian Tichy has some great vids on all Bonham stuff. ruclips.net/video/5lhT2jhxrDQ/видео.html As for the band thing man I know how it is bro. It takes a big commitment of time and I too have passed on a couple opportunities for the same reason. Rock on bro..
@cavansvec get an auxiliary pedal bracket with a cowbell or woodblock and get some independent rhythms going. Set it up adjacent to the hi hat pedal. Open up all kinds of cool ideas. Anyway loved the playing, the kit is bad ass. You really got some skills. Your enthusiasm and determination was clear. Excellent cover!!
Not an easy song to play. Good job man! But work on trying to play the beginning part with the cowbell at the same time. You'll get it, trust me. Just don't give up! Btw, you are me when I was your age, with two mismatched drum sets put together, and my parent's stereo blasting as loud as I could get it, and that's how Neil taught me how to play drums!! Lol!
@@patrigilligan2112 Thank you! The cowbell part, i’ve been able to play with the cowbell at the same time as the tom stuff, but i thought it would’ve just been funny to see a “cowbell cam” of me only playing cowbell. i guess not!
A young 'Peart' Protege'..... well on his way. Nice stuff Kid. Well Done.
@@drumdude46 Thank you!
NIce job, youngblood! Dig all the albums on the wall, too
@@2get2Terrapin Thank you!! Just put those up the other day. The albums are ones passed down from my dad, when he was younger
Very good young man, keep up the good work a lovely tribute to mr Peart 👍

@@andypeiffer5 I have seen those! I planned on getting one, but haven’t gotten around to it. Thank you for the compliments about the kit!
May the Peart be with you

Nice job. This song is chock full of big fills and you nailed all of them.
Thank you Michael!
Well done, man. Love the drummer face, too. Keep playing.
Thank you Spencer!
The Professor, played the cow bell at the same time :)
@@rodturner6759 I can do that, and I have before, but I don’t have an efficient stand to hold it in a place where i find comfortable.

I request you to make a nightmare a7x video song with your foot (Barefoot) to play double pedal only.
