Someone, I think Scott, said they got away from sandblasting spark plugs because residual sand was getting into the cylinders, so are you sure you got rid of all the sand? Anyway, I burn off soot with a propane torch, and go to hotter range plugs and more advanced timing whenever I find sooty plugs. Or perhaps foulers if hotter range plugs don't exist.

Some spark plugs like to allow some of the abrasive particles to get jammed deep down in between the porcelain center electrode and outer body of the spark plug. The air blast doesn't always get all of the grit out. It's best to look down in there with a very bright light to verify. You definitely don't want any of that getting into your cylinders and rings.

    Dear Strong's Garage guys.
👍👌👏 Very well done again (video and work). Maaaan, that Champion spark plug cleaner and tester is obviously a blast to work with. ;-) My heart kind of stopped seeing you using the old clean manuals with black greasy fingers! I guess that's exactly how it would've been done in those old days/times but it nevertheless shocked me. ;-)
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health to all of you.

Liked this video and look forward to the next installment! Very amusing comedic banter which will serve you both well in the future. Would have preferred a few extra minutes of normal speed closeups of the carb rebuild (what makes this carb different in performance from the one you removed, for example) instead of fast forwarding through the whole process. I suppose some viewers would be bored with a carb rebuild, but not all!

Another enjoyable episode! The few times I had access to a plug cleaner were a huge treat. I've not seen one since the mid '80s. Your carb cleaner bucket was a cringe-worthy blast from the past ( as I look at 40+ yr old chemical burn scars on my hands). I'm looking forward to hearing the Chevy fire up. Stay Safe & Stay Well!

Oooo the fancier one with the spark test. Nice.
    I love the channel, guys.
As for the sound... until you get wireless lapel (lavalier) mics for each of you it will be a chore to control the sound.
If I find a video with low sound I just turn on the closed captioning and I get to enjoy all of the mistakes that the auto-generated captions have to share. As an example it often shows "applause" when a grinder is used or in this video when you took the parts out of the dip and the screen scraped on the bucket.
    Added fun. :)

Back in the 1980's I had a 1976 Ford Ranchero with the 400 M engine and when it got around 76k the valve seals went bad. The body was pretty rusty so instead of fixing the engine I would just pull the plugs about every 500 miles and blast and regap them since it was just used occasionally.
