The man does not cut corners when reviewing.
For the money it is "aight" at best. Look up the 2020 Renault Captur or 2020 Peugeot 2008 if you want a solid compact Crossover. I am not huge into French cars, but these make anything else pale in comparison in terms of luxury, design and refinement for the money. I know you don't get these in USA, but give them a look. Makes you wonder why you get so many hard plastics and dated designs over there in this segment. Also look up 2020 Nissan Juke. Makes you wonder what happened to this Kicks.
Hey.....I'm in my 50's and I know right away when I'm driving a car if it's a piece of crap or not. One week ago, I took delivery of a loaded SR model with the 8 speaker Bose system and the imitation black leather seats. Sweet car for 24 grand.....so much bang for the buck....the sound system is fabulous and I hustle through Tampa traffic with no issues at all.
I bought this Kicks a week ago, no complaints so far. I do see myself moving up to the next SUV within the next two years. But for now, I am definitely happy with my purchase. Thanks Nissan.

Kicks looks good but I miss my Juke and would love to have another one! We had to move into a van. In my opinion Juke is the perfect! I always wave and say "Hi Juke!" every time I see one.

Its fuel efficient but the gas tank is really small with only 11 gallons so you will decently be stopping on the gas stations more often. Btw you do get a spare is underneath the the tire jack.

It’s really not a bad car for the money. Had one for a rental for a few weeks. Solid transportation with a few decent amenities. I have a few complaints, but I expect cost cutting here and there. It’s not a penalty box. Fun design, reasonable acceleration and good mpg.
The reason why there are no rear AC vents is because it's a compact/subcompact SUV but they do have you covered with 2 USBs for the rear passengers so you can put a portable AC vent back there (if it's powered by a USB).
I've tried the Kicks and Sentra recently. The only pro for the Kicks is the MPG. The engine is way too weak to fully load that car. I got scared with all the noises coming out of the engine and CVT when doing a kickdown. Though I was impressed by the Sentra, it gives you more for the price: Space, rapid acceleration compare to the Kicks, nice design, fancy interior

One of the other well-known RUclips car reviewers commented on the good throttle response which should add to the fun factor despite the lack of power.
The kicks has a terrible rear beam suspension setup while the 2020 Sentra has independent rear suspension. That alone makes the Sentra a better value than the Kicks.
all Nissan kicks don't have a touchscreen infotainment center the SV model comes with a regular deck sporting an AM and FM black and white screen however you can upgrade to the touchscreen for an additional price as an add on
I love how the back of the seats are not plastic. I don't understand why some cars have it. it doesn't look that very good and would uncomfortable for the person behind. Loved the review sad about the little amount of twinkies that can fit.
The question is not whether the Kicks is a better value than the Sentra. It's whether the Kicks is a better value than several other subcompact CUVs including the KIA Seltos. And the answer is clearly no.

I have one, the fully maxed out SR. Because the car is so lightweight it honestly doesn’t feel so weak. It’s something you’d only understand once you test drive the car. It drives great.
Nissan with their stupid hood prop that looks like it was run over by a train. Why in the hell can't they make a straight prop rod...oh I know why because they can charge 10x's the money for a $20 part. I'm sure the oil dipstick takes an act of god to get back into dipstick tube as well thanks to all the bends in it like in my Infinity. Nissan has gone downhill since the French got involved. In my opinion.

I think, I think the spare is under the foam that holds the Jack. Almost positive. I like these. Great practically and price.

I looked at both. For cargo capacity the Kicks wins. Venue just felt too small. Bought the Kicks and loving it.
