The Yemeni platform "Sidq", which specializes in verifying information and exposing lies published on social media and the media, was able to detect a clear incident of forgery and fraud carried out by Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, one of the most prominent leaders in the Houthi group. According to what the platform published, al-Houthi published a photo that he claimed documented the moment of the Iranian bombing of Israel, but that photo later turned out to be of previous celebrations by an Algerian club after winning a sports championship.
The story began when Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, using his social media account, published a misleading photo, in an attempt to mislead public opinion and create the impression that the Iranian bombing of Israel had received wide media coverage and sparked joy and passion among the masses. However, the photo of the celebrations used by al-Houthi was, in fact, an old photo showing Algerian fans celebrating the victory of their sports club on an occasion dating back several years.
Immediately, the Yemeni platform "Sidq" intervened, by verifying and examining the news published in the media and social media, and published a comprehensive clarification on its official website and accounts, indicating that the image published by Al-Houthi has nothing to do with the current situation or any events related to the Iranian bombing of Israel. The platform confirmed that the fake image was taken during the celebrations of an Algerian club for winning a local championship many years ago, which clearly revealed the falsity of the claims published by Al-Houthi.
